Updating css in manual mode

When I use the stylesheet to update a style, the updates do
not appear in the styles panel. Also the DW preview screen does not
reflect the changes although the changes are seen when viewed in
the browser. The manual says all that needs to be done is save the
stylesheet file, which I do.
I am doing something wrong but I don't know what it is.
Advice is needed.
Thank you
DW CS3

This happens to me, but it's kind of on purpose. As i use
php. The head section of the html is in a separate file that gets
included. Since DW can not read whats in the header file, it can
not find the link to the external css file.
To get around this, you can select Text>CSS
Styles>Design-time... doing this will allow you to temporarily
select a stylesheet so you can see how the CSS should look in DW.
If you open the CSS file in DW you can then use the Styles
panel once you alter the file and save it you will see the update.
Hope this helps,
Silk

  • Games in manual mode help

I put my ipod to manual mode so that I dont' have all the songs on my computer for more space.
I'd like to keep it in manual but I can't put my game back on the ipod, cause it used to be there.
My question is. If I turn back on the auto sync for games will it turn everything to sync and whipe out my songs? Because I've had to re-add everything twice because I didn't have it all in manual. So does anyone know for sure that it won't touch the music?
    compaq presario v2000 Windows XP

No, it wil not affect your music's syncing settings.
I've tried this kind of thing myself. For example, setting "Podcasts" to "automatic-update" didn't affect my music settings, which where on manual.
In addition, I've never heard of that happening, and your settings will be safe if nothing weird happens (the computer promptly shuts down, for example..which I've never heard of with your situation either.)

  • Ipod is in manual mode... help

My iPod is in the manual mode and has music & apps that are different from the ones in my iTunes. Is there a way to change it to the automatic-syncing mode, and not lose all of the things in my iPod?

    Thank you so much.
But just in case I have to buy another one. (This one is about 4 years old). I don't need anything fancy, no video or anything. And I don't want to shuffle anything. I just want to go walking, select the tunes I want and do my thing. So if I have to buy a new one, do they still sell the IPOD nano. Or do I have to buy some fancy updated version. I know there are 1st generation, 2nd generation, ones with videos, etc. Do you have any idea how much a simple Ipod Nano would cost??
Four years ago I paid $149 for mine. One would think (with all the newer versions), that maybe my little Ipod Nano would now being sold for half the price? Do I have a shot here?
Thank you so much for all your help!!!

  • Removing songs in manual mode

About a year ago my computer crashed and I managed to switch ipod to manual mode until I could repopulate my itunes library. Now I've decided to put my Ipod back into manual mode and delete all my music off my PC to save space on my hard drive. I seem to recall being able to access all the music in my Ipod when it was connected. But now, I can't seem to do so, and I would like to remove some music from it, but can't figure out how. Any help would be greatly appriciated. Thanks!

If you are updating manually, connect your iPod and when it shows in the iTunes 7 source list click on the chevron (the little triangle) to the left of the iPod icon This will display the various icons for the iPod itself, Music, Movies, TV Shows and Playlists. Click on Music and you'll see the usual song list. Find the files on your iPod that you want to remove, highlight them and delete directly as above by pressing the delete key on your keyboard.
To select multiple items such as all the songs in an album, click on the first track in the list hold down the shift key and click on the last track to highlight the selection. Then press the delete key.
To summarise, you start by highlighting the song/video/selection in either the iTunes library or on the iPod song list as displayed in iTunes then press the delete key on your keyboard: Deleting songs or playlists from your iPod

  • IPod Playcounts in Manual Mode

I used to use auto-update for my iPod, meaning when I plugged it into my computer to run iTunes it would automatically transfer music. It would transfer the playcount from my iPod automatically, as well. Now, however, my music collection has grown beyond my iPod's available space, so I've switched to manual mode. Unfortunately, in manual mode, it doesn't automatically transfer my iPod's play count.
How do I transfer play count from my iPod to iTunes when I'm using manual mode?
pc   Windows XP   30 gig iPod photo

    You don't.
Why not create playlists that fit onto the iPod and automatically sync those selected playlists?

  • How to update CSS across 50 sites?

I am in a strange dilemma. I have about 50 sites that use a site template and each has its own alternate stylesheet. I have an update to an existing CSS class inside this alternate stylesheet. Does anyone have a recommendation on how I can make this update
instead of manually updating each and every stylesheet?
Is there an attribute in the manifest file that lets me overwrite an existing file? If that is possible I could wrap it in a feature and activate it across all 50 sites.

Have you looked at writing a PowerShell script to automate this process?
    1. Export Site and AlternateCSSUrl to a file. Download the corresponding stylesheets as well.
    2. Do a find and replace across all the style sheets.
    3. Upload the style sheets to the respective sites as per the export file created in step 1.
This post is my own opinion and does not necessarily reflect the opinion or view of Slalom.
Thank you Guru! I have the updated stylesheet which I can upload to respective but not sure about export process. Do you have any articles?

  • Cannot update my iPod manually

Some playlists can be copied, others not. Importing command from the File Menu does gray out some files on the Harddisk, same song converted to .mov, .aif, and .mp4, too.
In the iTunes Folder the »songs« are to find in the »unknown artist« folder ....

Yes, but I have been able to click the "update ipod" button also in the manual mode prior to this instance. How would you, then, get only the songs that YOU have purchased onto your ipod without getting other ipod user's songs on your ipod as well? WE have 3 ipods in our home. Therefore, if I purchase a song on itunes and update the song automatically to get it into my ipod, I always end up getting the other's songs as well.

  • Can't transfer songs in manual mode

All the instructions say that in manual mode songs can be dragged from the music library and dropped into the iPOD but it won't work. The only way we can transfer is to set the preferences to automatic. Does anyone know how to transfer in manual mode?

    Janet,
The songs with the ! next to them means that they have either been moved from the location that iTunes normally looks for them, or that they've been deleted from the computer.
Either way, iTunes cannot find them. If you were to double click on one, you would get a message to this effect and be asked if you want iTunes to look for it.

  • My Apps wont update auto or Manually

Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix an issue with the apps not updating automatically and Manually. Automatic is turned on in settings and i'm on IOS 7.1

In one sense you are correct but updating apps individually seems to be less problematic. Have you tried restarting your iPad? Have you tied a Reset? [Hold the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons down together for 10 seconds or so (until the Apple logo appears) and then release. The screen will go blank and then power ON again in the normal way.] It is app and data safe!

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try another cable
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Also, just updated the phone's software today, and iTunes' software is already up to date.

    Hi Gregg,
Have you tried resetting the device (nothing will be lost): Hold down the Home and Power buttons at the same time and continue to hold them down until the Apple appears (up to 30 seconds). Once the Home screen redisplays, see if your Music app is behaving normally.

  • Legend in manual mode - Background color

    Hi all,
To create legend in manual mode I am using following request URL for a style image.
    http://127.0.0.1:8988/mapviewer/omserver?sty=L.ROAD&w=20&h=20&ds=cescdatasource
Here if the color of style is white (For example white color line style) then it won't be visible. Can I set background color?. I need different background color instead of white.
    Thanks,
    Sujnan

Either set the background color for the MapDecoration or for the table in which you display the legend or both.
e.g. (modification of tutorial 36 Map Legend)
// get the container DIV and set the background color to light blue
    var legendDiv = legend.getContainerDiv();
legendDiv.style.backgroundColor = "AliceBlue"; //color name may not work in all browsers
    function buildLegend(baseURL)
    var html = "<table *bgcolor='gray'* border=0> <tr><td><img src="+baseURL+"/omserver?sty=L.PH&w=45&h=20&ds=mvdemo></td><td> Highways </td></tr>" +
    " <tr><td><img src="+baseURL+"/omserver?sty=M.CITY+HALL+3&w=20&h=20&ds=mvdemo></td><td> Cities </td></tr>" +
    "</table>";
    return html;
    }

  • Help with manual mode of Menu Widget in Muse

I'm building a family web page in Muse and I'd like to create a menu of my secondary webpages only. Since the Menu Widget's "menu type" options are Top Level pages, All Pages (neither option will work for me), and Manual- it seems like I should be able to use "Menu Type: Manual" and simply type in the menu items I would like- which I've done. What I can't figure out is how to link those menu items I manually created to the sub pages of my website.
A bit of background on my website structure. My top Level sites are: Welcome, and then 3 separate pages for each family member- and each member page has a few secondary pages (about, photos, contact):
    Welcome
    Member 1
    about
    photos
    contact
    Member 2
    about
    photos
    contact
    Member 3
    about
    photos
    contact
My main site navigation- i.e. the menu widget for top level pages- is above my header (Light Gray). Below my header, I would like a horizontal or bar menu for ONLY the sub pages of that member: ie. About Member 1, Member 1's Photos, Contact Member 1 (Dark Gray)
I've created a menu widget in the Manual mode- I just can't seem to figure out how to link each menu option to the correct page. Currently in preview none of these manual menu items work.
    Thanks!
    LScarff

    Hi Scarff.
When you opt to use manual mode for the Menus, you need to manually link the pages to menu items. To achieve this , you need to have the menu item selected and then using hyperlink option as shown in below screenshots link the corresponding page to it :
    I hope this helps.
