Updating data in webdyn pro

Question

hi experts,
I have created an application in webdynpro abap which has 3 views, one for log-in, 2nd for a questionnaire and 3rd for feedback.
- I want to know if i move from view to another and then try to save the data, will it flush the data from the previous view or is there any way i can refer to it even on the next view.
- secondly on my 2nd view i have 5 radiobuttons, how do i capture this and update in the database?

Hi,
In webdynpro, view controllers are private to the respective view.
It will never share data with other views. So to share data between views, component controller context must be used.
To define context mapping, nodes must be created.
One method is to create a node in component controller context and define mapping with the view context to share the data in other views.
Second method is you can create attributes in component controller context and read the context attributes without defining context mapping.
For example,
DATA: lref_element TYPE REF TO if_wd_context_element,
           lref_node TYPE REF TO if_wd_context_node,
           lref_comp TYPE REF TO if_wd_component,
           lref_cntrl TYPE REF TO if_wd_controller,
           lref_context TYPE REF TO if_wd_context,
           lv_attr1 type string.
  lref_comp = wd_comp_controller->wd_get_api( ).
  lref_cntrl ?= lref_comp.
  lref_context = lref_cntrl->get_context( ).
  lref_node = lref_context->root_node.
  lref_element = lref_node->get_element( ).
