Updating database on-exit message trigger

Good Morning,
Through a button in oracle forms im updating a value on multiple records in the database.
What i am curious about is if its possible to get oracle to trigger the save changes messages on exit without additional code on-exit key.

--committhat will update the database but if i dont use commit when i'll try to exit ,the form wont ask for any save changes to be saved.
What i am actually trying to do it remove the commit after the update and let oracle forms to trigger on database change.

Dear Users
I'm using 10g Reports Rel.2. I'm using a report column as a hyperlink using SRW.Set_Hyperlink. I've taken 2 actions through this hyperlink. 1stly I'm callin a report from this link n 2ndly I'm running an update statement after the hyperlink statement like below:
SRW.Set_Hyperlink('....');
Begin
Update table_name Set
column_name=value;
End;
So the 1st statement is running well i.e report is being called but update statement is not executing. I've tried this both in HTMLCSS and PDF formats but Update statement is not executing. I was doing the same job successfully in 6i reports behind a button (except that report was being called using Srw.Run_Report). Is there any thing different in 10g reports for this job ???

I'm using 'Update statement' behind the hyperlink in different situations for example I wish that a report should print only through a button or a hyperlink and its destination should be a printer. 2ndly I want to keep record of printed reports through updating a field against printed records in a table so that user should not be able to print a data again and again. I was doing this successfully in 6i behind a button but in 10g, report is being called through hyperlink but update statement below the report calling code does not execute.

Unable to update database while in readonly mode for backup
Unexpected Essbase error 1013231I tried looking at Information Help Menu.
I could not find the error number.

The Readonly error got resolved.
But still the following error is displayed when I am loading data thru load rule.
To Brief you up, I had done a database corrupt check using validate command because of the following error. The information map asks you to do the same since the other parameters are in the affirmative ie sufficient disk space, not using addsin, File is present.
*Unable to Read Information From [C:\Hyperion\essbase\app\SMC\PL\PL-BS-LD.rul]*
Unexpected Essbase error 1019003
I used the VALIDATE <error.txt> command and found that the database is not corrupt.
I also used the export command to see if everything goes well. That also works well.
Note: I do not have any data in the Cube. I had cleared all data.
Can you please help ?

Potential Windows Update database error detected 0x80070490

This is the response I get when I run the Windows update troubleshooter from the Windows 8.1 Action Center. If I click next it reports the errors have been fixed. However if I run it again it reports exactly the same errors.
After searching the Internet I have found that several users have reported having this issue. As result of the aforementioned search I have tried the following:
1) Run the Fixit tool for Windows 8.1 located at:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971058/en-us.
2) Run the System Update Readiness commands: DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth and DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth located at:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/947821/en-us.
3) Saved contents of C:\Windows\System32\catroot2 to a temp folder and then deleted contents of C:\Windows\System32\catroot2.
4)Renamed C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution to C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution.old
5) Restarted Windows 8.1.
6) Verified that C:\Windows\System32\catroot2 and that C:Windows\SoftwareDistribution folders had been rebuilt.
7) I then ran the Windows update troubleshooter from the Window 8.1 Action Center again and got the same response as listed above. The errors still exist and are not fixed.
8) Finally, I downloaded Windows 8.1 Enterprise Evaluation and I did a completely new clean install of Windows 8.1 and without installing anything else (no updates, no software, no antivirus) the above errors appeared within minutes after connecting
to the internet. I checked using the Windows update troubleshooter several times before connecting to the Internet and each time no problems were found, but shortly after I connected the above errors are shown to exists.
Any suggestions that will help fix this issue will be of great help.

Error when update Database

I want to install PeopleSoft HRCS database and the database type is system. The version of peopletools is 8.49 and the HRCS is 9.0. After I create the database and import the data, I do the task of Updating Database to Latest PeopleTools Release. I do it step by step, when I do task7B-4-8, I can’t open data mover by PS. The error is the user PS has no create session privilege. So I grant the privilege to PS, it can open data mover. However before I do the task of update database, I can open the data mover by PS, I don’t know which step makes the mistake. When I do task7B-4-9, the error is :

i think use of cursor attribute not possible with cursor variable

When you click on the save button, you need to go through the model and retrieve the values getValueAt().
Convert to whatever type you want since getValueAt() returns type Object and update the DB.

System Update Splash Screen Exit

I've got four new systems here, all updated to SU 3.14, one downloaded and installed 800+MB of updates, and now all four launch SU, show splash screen, then exit immediately. The other three systems never even downloaded updates.
No error messages from SU or Windows.
Any help?

I'm seeing this too on a brand new T400 Vista x64 System. TVSU ran fine a couple of times and loaded all the drivers for me on a clean x64 install. Now I see the splash screen, then nothing. Tried reinstalling to no avil.
UPDATE: My issue may have been that I was running TVSU via RDP. Once I got home and tried again, it worked.

ERP EHP4 Installation Problem in Update Database registry Phase.

We are installing ERP 6.0 EHP4 Ready SR1 on AIX6.1 (6100-03-01-0921) and DB2 v9.1.0.7.
During installation in phase Update Database Registry, we are getting below error:

IDES/DB6/Win - Installation phase (Update Database Configuration) is slow??

To whom it may concern,
I am currently installing IDES ERP 2005 on Windows 2003 with database as DB6 with 1GB Ram and 1 CPU P4. 4GHz
However, I found that the phase Update Database Configuration phase is running very slow and sapinst growth very large (>500 MB) while no error found in the dbdump file.
I checked the view log from Netweaver Installer and showing TRACE
see that the message DB6_NODES_WORK > undefined < found keep repeating whereas no other message found. Please advise if you encounter this before and advise if anything can be done.

This phase started from 3 pm and still running till now 6 pm (3 hours)
previously, it was running for 2 hours before termination.
By the way, I found that the sapinst keep repeat the following to the sapinst_dev.log

while the task manager showing that the cpu was utilize from 11% to 100% from time to time (indicate something is running).

As a trigger is executed in the db and not in your app it's really hard to help as you did not give any useful information.
