Updating dynpro field

Hi all
I'm executing a dynpro and when the user press F4 in a field, the corresponding search help is executed but then when the user select a value, I need to do some calculations and show the results and also show an image on the screen.
How can I do that automatically? I mean: I want to update the screen as soon as the user select a value from the standard search help. Right now it is working but the user has to press a key.
I tried to add a function code in the input field but this option is grayed in the Screen Painter.

FIELD lfa1-lifnr MODULE get_vendor_taxid.(where you give f4 help)
in MODULE get_vendor_taxid INPUT
call FM for F4 help,
after that do the calculation,
use FM 'DYNP_VALUES_UPDATE' adn update required fields

ALV-Grid and update dynpro fields

Hi!
I've created a dynpro with an ALV-Grid for Data-Overview and fields on the dynpro to change additional data.
My ALV has one editable column, when this value change I calculate other value for a field dynrpo, but I canu2019t see this change in my field dynpro.
How can I update my data filed dynpro when changing the selected row at the ALV.
I use the method handle_data_changed to obtain changes in ALV-Grid and it works fine, but I canu2019t update my fileds on the dynpro, when changing value in ALV.

This error occurs becuase when you change anything on the ALV, control is not triggering the PAI and PBO of your dynpro. Hence your values are not getting updated in the dynpro field.
You should call the CL_GUI_CFW=>DISPATCH in PAI module to trigger the PAI also after the event has been triggered in the ALV.
CALL METHOD CL_GUI_CFW=>DISPATCH
    importing return_code = return_code.
* a control event occured => exit PAI
if return_code <> cl_gui_cfw=>rc_noevent.
    clear g_ok_code.
    exit.

DYNP_VALUES_UPDATE not Updating the Field on my Dynpro

I want to create a dynpro where two fields are. Field 1 allows the user to enter a customer number, field two shall come up with a number that is calculated somehow. The calculation can last up to 20 seconds, so I dont want to make the user waite for this number.. .he shall be able to work with the rest of the dynpro.
Therefore I called the function that does the calcuiation like that:

Problem is: The DYNP_VALUES_UPDATE does not update the field on my dynpro at all. If I hit enter another time, then the field is provided by the value as another PBO will be processed. What is my mistake here?

Hi Manfred,
Replace all the DYNP_VALUES_UPDATE-related content by the following statement:
SET USER-COMMAND 'xxx'.
While DYNP_VALUES_UPDATE does update the fields, a roundtrip is not triggered so the content of the fields will not be refreshed. The SET USER-COMMAND does that.

Updating extended fields in SRM Business Partner Web Dynpro UI does not work

I'd like to extend the SAP SRM Business Partner Web Dynpro (SRM 7.13). I did it like in SAP Note 1386310 described. Everything works fine, the fields show the correct data. But updating these fields does not have any effect.
I only want to extend the existent fields NAME_ORG3 and NAME_ORG4. I did the following steps:
- Because of the fact that the fields are existent and not custom, I skipped the extension of structures INCL_EEW_BUT000 and INCL_EEW_BUT000_X (ok, in utter despair I even tried this, but of course I got the message "fields already exist...")
- I added the 2 fields to the SRM business partner data transfer structure INCL_EEW_BP_CSF_COMPANY_DATA.
- In Web Dynpro /SAPSRM/WDC_MODC_NAME, view V_PS_OIF_NAME I added the fields NAME_ORG3 and NAME_ORG4 to the context node COMPANY_DATA
- I added corresponding Input fields and labels to the WD layout.
- in view /sapsrm/v_mdfsbc I customized the new fields
-> the new fields are visible in the WD, and, oh wow, they even show the correct data!
-> Unfortunately, updating the fields does not work, but000 does not get any data.
Debugging the function "bupa_central_extincl_change" brings up, that function BUP_MEMORY_BUT000_GET gets a but000 structure with filled NAME_ORG1 and NAME_ORG2, but NAME_ORG3 and NAME_ORG4 are empty.
I also regarded SAP Note 1453747, but the code was already right.

I am also facing the same problem
I added the one fields "APPROVAL_EMAIL” to the SRM business partner, data transfer structure '/SAPSRM/S_CLL_BP_COMPANY_DATA ' . I have appended the structure.
I added corresponding Input fields and labels to the WD layout.
-> the new fields are visible in the WD,
-> i am able to visible the input field in WD,
But if add some value press on next tab and back to the screen the value will be refreshed .

Problem with reading Dynpro fields

Hi,
I have some tabstrips. On each tabstrip, I have a
container for an ALV and on the bottom I have another
subscreen for some input fields.
Under the subscreen I have some buttons to insert, delete
etc...
The fields in my subscreen I have bound to DDIC table
fields and I have defined that in my program under TABLES
in my declaration.
So when I write something in the fields, their content
has been written to my table-structure defined in TABLES.
If you double click on a line in the alv, the content of
the line has been written to my dynpro fields in the
subscreen.
My problem now is:
When You have double clicked a line and the content was
filled in my dynpro fields and I change the values after-
wards, I do not have the changed field content in my
TABLES structure. It´s because, the framework isn´t
processing my PBO of the subscreen.
How can I call the pbo manually to get the new field
content, when I´m pressing the button on the parent
dynpro?
I hope it´s possible to understand my problem!

Hi again,
I have tried both functions Dynpro_field_get and read_values, but I´m not getting any content. With dynpro_field_get, I´m getting the fieldnames, but not the values!
I have seen, when I´m pressing enter, after I have typed in the new field values, my TABLES structure has been updated. But I think, it´s not very user friendly, if You have to pay attention to press enter before pressing the "add" button...
Any other idea? Or do You know why I´m not getting any content?

Update dynro field values in PAI of BTE event 00000920

I have the following specific requirement in transaction f-28 : when I click a specific button called 'COMPUTE', I need tu update payment amount in tab 'Partial payment' with a specific amount instead of the default amount.
So I have created the button 'COMPUTE' using BTE event 00000930 and it's OK.
the specific amount is computed using BTE event 00000920 in a specific FM. In this FM, after the amount is known, i want to display it on the screen.
The field payment amount in dynpro is DF05B-PSZAH (dynpro nb for batch-input is 3100, the dynpro number of the program is 6104).
How can I display the computed value in this field of dynpro ?
the last thing is : when I change manually (without button 'COMPUTE') the payment amount, the field 'assigned' is automatically re-compute (PAI screen 6104).
How can I trigger this automatic change after having updated the dynpro field 'DF05B-PSZAH' ? In other way, how can i trigger this automatic change ?

I've found myself the technical solution : I used a enhancement point in FORM pos_zeile_bearbeiten of the program SAPDFF05X.
First I still use BTE event 00000930 to create the specific button.
To update the partial payment :
- set to 'X' the field xaktp in the table postab for the line of the item
- set to 'X' the field inpud in the table indtab for the line of the item
- change the value of the field pszah (amount of the partial payement) and the value of the field psdif (diffrence between the amount of the invoice and the amount of the payment)
Caution : the number of lines is not the same in postab and indtab (postab contains all items even those not shown in the screen and indtab contains all items shown in the screen) - to find the corresponding line inf ind tab ; search in table tsltab the value of the posnr corresponding to the item and the sy-index of this search will give you the index inn table indtab for the same item.

Adobe Interactive - Problem Updating Form Fields within tables

I am working with Interactive forms. My scenario is I download the form, update, upload to the Web and then submit to the backend, I am basically use a blend of the tutorials available. From a Web Dynpro perspective all is working well.
The problem I am having is in the Form itself.
I have 10 fields which I want the user to update. Fields which are bound at Page Level, work fine. e.g.
<CONTEXT>.<PAGE>.<FIELD>::Change
Data_Source.Page1.Langu::Change
However Fields in a table do not seemed to work properly. e.g.
<CONTEXT>.<PAGE>.<TABLE>.<ROW[x]>.<CELL[y]>.<FIELD>::Change
Data_Source.Page1.tblCusDetails.Row[0].Cell[1].Name
If I perform an update in the form Langu works well, Name does not.
e.g. Page1.Langu.rawValue = "EN" This works OK
Page1.tblCusDetails.Row[0].Cell[1].Name = "Andrew " This does not work.
I got round this issue by searching for the attribute at runtime.
Now (Based on my scenario) I am trying to update my form;
I download the form to the front end. Update and save. When I open the form again only Langu has saved, Name reverts back to <Emtpy>.
My workaround would be to remove all the tables, which I will start now, but I am wondering if I am doing something wrong or if its a bug in the form,?
Can anyone help?

Thank you, for your quick response. To be honest, I went through the tutorial from SAP TechEd, "Creating Interactive Forms in Web Dynpro for JAVA, and it is drving me crazy.
I did create under the Contect actually Value Node:
DataSource and within that two Value Node for PersonalData and TravelData. For PersonalData, the following Value Attribute: CostCenter, Department, Name etc etc........
The properties is already set for the value attributes to string, I tried to change it to init it will not take it?

Getting a permission error while updating a field.

Error in updating ALV field catalog in selection tool for Planning Book

Hi ,
I am Implementing BADI '/SAPAPO/SDP_SELECTOR' to upload Custom Fields Data in Planning Book Selection Window under APO Location Product. These Custom Fields are maintained in Custom Table.So from Table whatever Custom Fields are availabe all the fields needs to be available in for selection. Once selection is done the same data to be uploaded into Planning Book.
This BADI is working Fine upto 4 fields but if any extra fields are added in the table 'Error in updating ALV field catalog in selection tool' error Pop Up is coming. Here i am using Folloowing Methods
1). INIT_OBJECT_LIST
2). F4
3). LOC_PROD_VALUE_LIST
Please help on the same if u have any idea or clue.

Error in updating ALV field catalog in selection

I'm trying to use the standard transaction /SAPAPO/TSKEYFMAIN in order to check the TS values.
After filling the selection variant, the system shows the following error:

Unable to update a field using the Data tab on a VIEW

When viewing data using a VIEW instead of going to the table directly, am unable to change the values in any of the fields
When I click on the list of VIEWs for a schema, then select a view that is based on a SELECT statement for a single table with a Primary key, and then click on the DATA tab to modify the value in one of the fields, SQL Developer does not allow me to change the value.
Went into SQL Plus, and was able to execute an UPDATE statement against the same row of that VIEW, and update that field ("UPDATE vw_mytable SET thisfield = 'YES' WHEN row_id_number = 1'").
Does SQL Developer not allow updating tables through a VIEW?
Will it allow updating in the future? Please say yes.
Oracle 10g DB and latest version of SQL Developer.

Update Z field from BSIK into BSAK when closing

Hi,
I have created Z field in BSIK table using "Append structure" option. I also created identical field via same option in table BSAK. When I clear open item system "delete" that item in table BSIK and create identical item in table BSAK (BSIK - open items; BSAK-closed items), BSIK and BSAK have same structure because of this trensfer of open items from BSIK to BSAK during open item clearing. My problem - when open item is cleared and item is transferd from BSIK to BSAK my Z field is not updated by system. Is it possible to set this in customizing or is there another way to update this Z field in BSAK when someone clear open items - user exit, modification or ???.

than you for your responce.
I tried to find out suitable event for this in fibf but withouth success. Could you suggest event that will be suitable for this purpuse.
One more thing - if I reverse clearing (via transaction FBRA) system will transfer closed item from BSAK to BSIK and during that process Z field will not be updated so I also need event to update this field durind reverse clearing.

Sale value update (SAUFT) field

I have a problem with sale vaule update in transaction FD33, this is field is getting improperly (SAUFT) updated and not matching with values in SO and open deliveries. I am scheduling the job RVKRED77 (S066 and S067) to update this field and still getting problem. Is there any alternative to this or we need to schedule this job RVKRED77 frequently?

As for your suggestion about KA02. I think it's impossible since APC recon account is being used by numerous WBSs. 1:1 mapping is impossible.
Reverse is also impossible since capitalization has been made.

Master Detail Form - How 2 update a field in the Detail form using a query?

I have a master detail form with, each master record having a fixed(6) number of detail records. One of the fields in the detail record is the PART_DESCRIPTION field. I am trying to update this field by querying Table_X. TABLE_X is in the format of (desciption id, description). Description id runs from 1 to 6.
When the form displays, the PART_DESCRIPTION field for the 6 detail records needs to be automatically populated with the six values of description stored in Table_X. How can this be done?
Tried using session storage objects, but made no headway.
Would greatly appreciate pointers on how to go about doing this.
