Updating eclipse 3.1.2 to 3.2.2 in bea weblogic 9.2.1

I am trying to upgrade eclipse to 3.2.2 in weblogic 9.2.1 so I can use the new WTP. When I try to do the upgrade I receive the following error.
com.bea.eclipse.server.lib.xbean9
does anyone know how resolve this issue or how to upgrade the eclipse in bea weblogic 9.2.1 workshop to 3.2.2

Sorry, but 9.2.1 isn't supported on 3.2.2. Starting with 10.0 Workshop was updated to use 3.2.1, and the next release will use 3.2.2.

How to start weblogic in debug mode from BEA WebLogic Eclipse plugin

I have a problem making weblogic work with eclipse3.1. I am using a BEA WebLogic plugin to handle weblogic (start/stop) from eclipse. However I want to debug my application and I am unable to figure out a way to start my weblogic in debug mode like we do in WSAD. I tried using some other plugins also but no luck. Please suggest me a plugin to handle this or any other way of debugging my application from eclipse. I am using weblogic 8.1.

Created a server that i would like to deploy my EJB so that i can put break points on my EJB in eclipse.
How do i do it?
I managed to deploy an ear (containing the ejb) directly to the weblogic installed folder and it deployed the ejb. But the breakpoint set in eclipse is not triggered. Of course in this case as weblogic server is running the .ear file deployed manually in the file system.
Any help is appreciated.

Kodoplugin for Eclipse not up to date?

Hi,
when installing the kodo-eclipse plugin (yes i also installed a odbc library) there are just errors in the GUI:
Unable to create view: Plug-in kodo was unable to load class kodo.jdbc.integration.eclipse.KodoView
I searched through all jar files of kodo, but the class KodoView does not exist at all! It seems to me, that the plugin is designed for the old kodo 3. If yes why is this old plugin still shipped with the current version 4 of kodo? And more interesing, when will there be a new version of the eclipse plugin released?

Kodo 4.0.0 does not support the old eclipse plugin. Do you see the
Eclipse plugin in Kodo 4.0.0 anywhere? It should no longer be there.
The path to Eclipse integration is now done using Kodo integration in
BEA Weblogic Workshop.

I am trying to create a web project in Eclipse WTP europa. I do not have the bea weblogic server installed on my desktop. My organization has issues running it locally. I need to first create a project and then create a war and then deploy it on server.

10.9.2 Update Issue (VPN) - Eclipse Perl debugger issues while connected to VPN

I have yet another issue related to 10.9.2 update - Eclipse Perl debugger issues while connected to VPN...
One of the big changes introduced by 10.9.2 update - are VPN changes (security fixes). Unfortunately, whatever these changes are - they "broke" Eclipse (OpenSource IDE) debugger. I am not sure if *all* programming languages (Eclipse plugins) are affected by this, but I know for sure that 'Epic' (Perl plugin) debugger *stopped working* while system is connected through VPN.
Here is the error that gets “popped-up” in the Eclipse:

I was able to prove that this issue is related to 10.9.2 update:
Issue *does not* exist under 10.9.1 (I had to revert back to 10.9.1 to get it working again)
No updates were performed around the same time 10.9.2 update occurred (I verified that using Software Update log)
No configuration changes were introduced around the same time
Reverting back to 10.9.1 using Time Machine (thanks god I had backup !!!) fixed the issue
Steps to reproduce this issue:
In Eclipse, try to use 'Epic' (Perl plugin) to debug any perl script while *not* connected through VPNEpic debugger works
Connect to VPN
Start Epic debugger to debug same script
Debugger *does not* start, and "Timed out while waiting for Perl debugger connection" error pop-up comes up after some time. At the same time, exception stack (listed above) is printed in Eclipse's console
I am programmer/software developer, I work remotely (telecommute) and thus have to rely on use of VPN to connect to company's intranet. Perl - is primary language used by my team, and we use Eclipse IDE with Epic plugin - heavily. Use of Epic's debugger - is a *very large* aspect of my work, I cannot work without it. So in essense, 10.9.2 has *entirely* disrupted my ability to work! It took me almost a week to get back to normal work environment, and I cannot afford to let it happen again... I need Apple's development team resolve this VPN related issue, as soon as possible! Because of this issue, I am *stuck* with 10.9.1 and can not upgrade my laptop to any other versions. In fact, I had to disable system updates - just so I do not run into this issue again... I contacted Apple's Tech Support on 02/28 with this issue (Ref: 582428110), asking to raise trouble ticket. Since then, I tried to follow-up on that issue, but do not get any information. Please advise on the status:
is there a trouble ticket to track this issue?
is there any progress?
what's the ETA for an update that fixes this problem?

Eclipse update site for FlexUnit 4.1?

Is there an update site that I can point Eclipse at to update the FlexUnit plugin to FlexUnit 4.1?
If not, then how are people updating Eclipse?

Still not good (sorry). I tried the flex one alone, and when that didn't work, I add the following.

To be honest, I'm a bit confused as to how this all fits together. I'm assuming that when I run "Execute FlexUnit Tests" from the Navigator, that the Adobe plugin will interrogate the code and set up the main test application called FlexUnitApplication.mxml. Then it just runs that.
To normalize my results I did this.
1. Cleaned Unit Test project.
2. Ran Execute Flex Unit Test from navigator. This time it ran, but the Test method I had using a dataProvider, similar to the example on the website, gave the following error.

Eclipse Update Site Maintenance Tonight

The Eclipse update site will be down briefly this evening for scheduled maintenance. The failover / load balancing unit in front of the servers are getting rules adjusted so we no longer redirect update site requests from http to https (i.e. http://dev2devclub.bea.com/updates/wlevs-tools/2.0/site.xml to https://dev2devclub.bea.com/updates/wlevs-tools/2.0/site.xml).
It has scheduled 6p to 8p Pacific for this work, but we expect to be done by 6p. The rules will be adjusted right around 6p and then we'll do the necessary testing to ensure that routes through the unit are working as expected.

Problem with eclipse find/update

My apology if it's not right place to talk about this.
I get following error when I use Eclipse 3.1 find/update.
Network connection problems encountered during search.
Unable to access "http://update.eclipse.org/updates/3.0".

I had this problem at my work then I thought it could be related to proxy setting. But I am having same problem at home as well. I dont have any proxy setting here..it's just connected via wireless network.
I have tried using 3.1 update site as well by replacing 3.0 by 3.1 in above URL. It's been two days and I am yet to solve the problem.
Please save me from this misery. :-(

Hopefully IBM will have the update support soon back. asc seems to be from the JCOP team

Eclipse indigo and weblogic 10.3- not able to download wl 10.3 to indigo

Install new extension from eclipse indogo, it does not give option of weblogic 10.3. It gives

How do I configure weblogic 10.3 to eclipse[indigo]?
1.Change Eclipse memory settings by updating the properties of eclipse.ini file -Xmx768m -Xms256m
2.Make sure this configuration (-Dsun.lang.ClassLoader.allowArraySyntax=true) is there, if not add it and save the file.
3.Make sure you have configured your Weblogic server in "Development" mode. If node done, please change the configuration.
4.Start Eclipse
5.Go to Window -> Preferences -> Server -> Installed Runtimes -> Add
6.In the dialog "New Server Runtime", there is a link "Download additional server adapters". Click it, and Eclipse will search on the Internet for additional server adapters. When it's done, select “Oracle Web Logic Server Tools” (or more appropriate one, if you get one) and install it.
7.Alternate to step 5, you can add http://download.oracle.com/otn_software/oepe/galileo as updated site in Eclipse and install the Eclipse pack from Oracle.
8.Restart your Eclipse after installation.
9.Open server view as Window ->Open View -> Others -> Server ->Servers
10.Right click on the pane, and select new server
11.In the next screen, select your JRE e.g. JRE 1.5 and Weblogic installation directory e.g. C:\bea\weblogic.
12.Click next
13.In next screen, provide the Weblogic domain directory e.g. C:\bea\weblogic\myprojects\domains\mydomain, provide the Weblogic port e.g. 7001 and user id/password for the Weblogic server.
14.Click finish.
15.Double click on the server; it will open server details in the editor. Make sure publish automatically check box is check. If not checked, check it, save and close it.
16.At this point, you can see Weblogic server listed in server pane.
17.You can right click the server and add/remove projects from your workspace to this server.

I got the below response from Oracle support, and I'm trying to see where this Servers tab is. I see a servers tab in preference, but I don't think that's what they mean because there's no domain item.. Any idea?
Basically, OEPE connects to weblogic domain through admin server. When you create a new server in OEPE, you only choose domain instead of individual servers, and that server created maps to domain's admin server.
If you want to deploy the application developed in OEPE to managed servers or cluster, you could try the following:
1) browse to Servers tab
2) right click on the domain
3) choose 'Properties'
4) choose 'WebLogic' -> 'Publishing' -> 'Advanced'
5) move disired target from left to right

the servers view eventually indicates the server has transitioned to the
"Stopped" state. the problem is, i never commanded neither eclipse or wls to
shutdown the wls server.
since the wls server can be successfully started outside of eclipse from the
shell, and since - once it is successfully started outside of eclipse - wls
doesn't automatically shutdown as soon as it starts; i suspect there is
something in eclipse|wtp that is triggering the automatic
shutdown. but of course, i could be wrong. maybe something
in wls itself is at fault.
i encountered this exact same bug in wls 9.0 with eclipse 3.2.2/wtp 1.5.3 on
solaris 9 sparc (which is what prompted me to upgrade to wls 9.2 on solaris 9
sparc; see [url https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=169197]eclipse bug #169197); and i encounter this exact same bug with wls 9.2 with
eclipse 3.2.2/wtp 1.5.3 in mac os x 10.4.9! there is a
slight difference in what happens in solaris vs what happens on the mac. on the mac, the exception appears to
be thrown at a different point (when a wldeploy.xml script
is executed; not at the point of "Initializing WebLogic
Scripting Tool (WLST)" like in the solaris installation):

more and nothing less than what the eclipse/wtp and weblogic documentation has
instructed me to do.

please, can you clarify what bearing the global system properties mentioned in CR299479 at the bottom of [url http://e-docs.bea.com/workshop/docs92/relnotes/relnotes.html#wp1139954]this page of 9.2.1 release notes have on the timeout value discussed in [url https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=186902]this eclipse wtp bug report?

Problem with eclispe/find update

Hi,
My apology if it's not right place to talk about this.
I get following error when I use Eclipse 3.1 find/update.
Network connection problems encountered during search.
Unable to access "http://update.eclipse.org/updates/3.0".
Unable to access site: "http://update.eclipse.org/updates/3.0" [java.io.IOException]
Unable to access site: "http://update.eclipse.org/updates/3.0" [java.io.IOException]
I had this problem at my work then I thought it could be related to proxy setting. But I am having same problem at home as well. I dont have any proxy setting here..it's just connected via wireless network.
I have tried using 3.1 update site as well by replacing 3.0 by 3.1 in above URL. It's been two days and I am yet to solve the problem.
Please save me from this misery. :-(

As this is a problem with Eclipse, the Eclipse support options would be the proper place to seek support.
I found some info on this at https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=105415 for details. Personally, I'd just update to the latest 3.2 milestone...
