Updating Facebook Status

Hi,
Can you tell me how can I update my Facebook status via ios8 ???? Whenever I am updating my status it doesn't show that it was updated via ios8 can you please help me to solve this ?

Why is it when i update my status on facebook from iohone it splits the updates into two differents boxes with some funky symbol. I have uninstall facebook and installed it over and it still does it. only the facebook IPHONE app.

if i go on the facebook site and update there through a brower on iphone it will work fine just cant us IPHONE mobile upload, . But its a pain of not using my IPHONE APP for facebook cause it does that.

the other issues, like caps coming on and off or slower speeds I can live with but not being able to upload images is a major problem. If not fixed it would render my iPad virtually useless to me.

I have iPhone 5s. I have account info to my Facebook app. I know I can update my status "via iOS" with a picture.
My question is:
How can I update my status ONLY "via iOS" without having to upload a picture.
When I had my iPhone 4s I used to do it sliding down my notification bar up top. Is there a a way to get that feature again? Or is there specific steps I have to do to get that feature again?

When I'm on my own page there is a selection to Write Post near the top. When I'm on my newsfeed there is an Update Status section in the upper left corner.

Facebook status updates and uploading photos on no...

Hi.I dont seem to be able to update my facebook status or upload photos on the above handset.However I can update my facebook status on my nokia 2330 without any problems.I was able to update my status on my nokia 5530 until last week when it decided to stop doing that.I have come to a dead end now and wondered if anyone had experienced this or has a solution.

I can provide some info about your Facebook question. You can update your status via text message (actually text Facebook). Unless you updated your Facebook status by sending a text message, you are not charged for text messages. I assume you are using your web browser to browse through Facebook which does not incur any text messaging charges.
If you'd like to see your text messaging details, you can go to www.verizonwireless.comand sign in as the account holder. Click on view usage> view usage details to see the numbers texted to and from.

Facebook status update question

Hi,
I am just wondering if anyone is having trouble with the Facebook for iPhone app. When I update my status via the app, my status is shown on my profile page, but not on the news feed. This is rather inconvenient, because most people don't visit individual profiles on a regular basis and instead use the news feed to know what's going on with their friends. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, and I've also tried resetting my iPhone, all to no avail. If anyone else is having trouble or has any suggestions, please let me know. Thanks!

I was actually able to get the Facebook app to work properly again after going to application settings on Facebook's website, unchecking some boxes, saving the changes, then rechecking the boxes and saving those changes. The boxes I unchecked and rechecked had to do with the Facebook for iPhone app having permission to post stories to my wall and my friends' news feeds.

I am using the widget that came with the phone. Trying to do a facebook status update. When I try to post I get the following error.

Data services are unavailable.

Any ideas or solutions other than a factory reset. I have a data plan and am able to browse. Let me know.

Do you have a 3g connection? If not, if you will need to change a setting or use WiFi to use the data services.
To change the setting to use the regular (SLOW) network, go to settings->data manager->Data Delivery, and press on Data Roaming. That will allow data services while not on Verizon's 3g service.

It's upto Facebook to put tags like that or People can post API keys to allow you to post using 'updated via Apple Macbook Air'.

From an older post...
Facebook changed their mobile site so that it's the same for other mobile devices as it is iOS devices. The result is, if you post using the mobile website, it no longer labels what device you used, just that it was the mobile website.

Yes, that's what it does. That's the way the FB app works. It has been reported that if you use Siri, it will note that you have posted from iOS.
I'm curious and people keep refusing to answer this question. Why is it important for it to say that it's from an iOS device as opposed to mobile? I'm not trying to be rude. I'm just curious.

Problem with Facebook status blocking phone numbers in contact list

Unlike a lot of users, I don't mind that my Facebook contacts merge with my other contacts. However, I am having a problem with viewing all the information in some of the individual profiles. It seems that whenever someone updates their FB status, the status posts where the phone number usually is. The only way to view the phone info for these contacts is to "edit" the entry, then you can see the phone info. Does anyone know if there is any way to eliminate the status update from the contact information?

I don't mind seeing their updates, I don't even mind seeing the update on the individual contacts page. I mind not being able to see the phone number field in my contacts list. I have a friend that has the original Droid and he stated that the update is at the bottom of the screen, not the top covering the phone number. Why is it that on a phone with so much "ability" that it has to put the Facebook status field over the phone number?
