Updating Flash for Safari Browser

I am new to the iPod world and just bought an iPod touch. Love the thing just had one question, I am an avid Fantasy Football Geek and use yahoo, when I go into yahoo and try to use their stat-tracker that updates scores and stuff in real time, it says I have to update my flash player. Is there a way to do this through Itunes or through the safari browser?
Other than this small inconvenience I love my touch.

There is no Flash support for mobil Safari right now.

*Hey I have Safari and in most of the websites I see blue boxes with question mark on it. Can someone please post a link for downloading a plug-in that will fix it. IE7 doesnt have this problems..*

    Here's an example: http://www.miniclip.com.
The site uses Shockwave plug-in, not Flash plug-in. Unfortunately the Apple's plugin page doesn't list this plug-in. You can download it from this site: http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1Prod_Version=ShockwaveFull&P2_Platform=Win32&P3_BrowserVersion=Netscape6
After installing above Shockwave Player plug-in many games start working. However some of them like Crazy Karts or Creepy Pong hangs Safari browser. I will report this bug to Apple's bug tracking system.
another thing..is real-player's download video from every site feature compatible with Safari (Real Player 11)
    An example address?

  • Adobe Flash for Safari on iPad Mini? What are the alternatives?

Whhy doesn't Safari on my Mini use Adobe Flashplayer?
    Thanks!

No Flash for iPads, iPhones, or iPods
Here's why there's is no Flash available for iDevices or other mobile devices. Adobe was unable to provide a product that was suitable to the needs of battery powered mobile devices used for Internet browsing. Existing Flash technology used too much memory, ate battery life, and was buggy. Simply put Flash did not work well on mobile devices.
Apple's Steve Jobs led the escape from Flash dependency when Apple introduced the iPhone, and later introduced the iPad. There was a hue and cry over the omission. Time proved Jobs was right on target.
So this is why there is no Flash for your iPhone or iPad or iPod nor for most SmartPhones. Flash has been abandoned by many sites in favor of supported technologies such as HTML5 or by providing their own custom app.
Here is Steve Jobs official comment on his momentous decision to omit Flash from iDevices: Steve Jobs on Flash.
Here is Adobe's later announcement to cease development of Flash for mobile devices: Adobe on Mobile Flash.
Now, you are not necessarily out on a limb. There are some apps that can display some Flash, but don't count on there ability to display anything using Flash.
Apps that can display some Flash from the Web:
    Puffin
    SkyFire
    Photon Flash
    Browse2Go
    iSwifter
Also, note that many sites that use Flash provide their own app for accessing their material. So check with your favorite sites and find out if "there's an app for that."

  • Come on, Adobe.  Fix Flash for Safari

This is a joke. There has been no response on this issue. I
    had no idea about
the trouble and am not looking forward to spending a morning
    trying to get an
older version to work. The player worked fine, I saw an
    update, updated and
now it's broken. I've tried for about 90 minutes to uninstall
    and use an older
version to no avail. This wasn't an issue under Macromedia.

  • Macbook 2007 is totally after slow after upgrading Adobe Flash for Safari

Last month I replaced the (failed) hard drive of my 2007 Macbook with a new 500 GB HD. Everything was great until I attempted to upgrade to the latest version of Adobe Flash player for safari. After uninstalling the old flash player I found it impossible to add the new one--or any other version. I decided to give up for a while until I could go into Apple for advice. I used chrome to watch Youtube, but the videos were totally choppy--freezing and suddenly speeding up--But the real worry is that the entire system is slow slow slow with endless beach balls. I've used utility first aid, Clean mymac, iboost, and tiddyup--each time things seemed better (or not as bad) but I still got beachballs and videos still impossible to watch. I also tried a suggested fix that involved pressing control>command>P.R while powering up. Today I managed to finally upgrade the flash player after upgrading to the newest version of Safari. But videos just as bad and still super slow with beach balls. I would greatly appreciate any new suggestions. Maybe the new HD is defect? I also upgraded to Snow Leopard last year. Thanks!

  • Flash for Safari .. and Internet Explorer?

I use Safari 3.1.2 but I have IE on my computer and need to run a Flash-based website on it for comparison purposes. It seems that there is no Flash for the Intel-based processors; does anyone know if this is correct?
    http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash&P2Platform=MacOSX
    Thanks,

Flash...swf...fla...will play on either platform. Doesn't matter what platform creates the flash.
Just like Quicktime videos will play on either a widows or mac computer. As long as the computer has quicktime on it. Same with WMV.

  • Flash for android browser?

    Hi,
I want to ask when will flash player be available for android browser and android browser too.
please reply me at my email id.

    Regards,
    Akash

Flash Player WAS available for Android... Until June 2012. It is no more and won't ever be again. Adnroid is no longer compatible with Flash technology. Adbroid (Google) has alternative browsers (Dolphin & Puffin) which can play Flash content using server side rendering. These are available in the GooglePlay Store. There are free versions, but apparently Google is selling the FULL versions which must be used to view Flash content.
And.. DO NOT post your private email in a public forum. It's unsafe and prohibited by Adobe community guidelines.

  • Updating flash for firefox without admin rights

I use Firefox in an environment in which only IE is supported. Every time Adobe updates Flash, I lose the ability to view Flash content in Firefox as I lack admin rights to update it.
I have tried the work arounds and none solve the problem. Previously I would just download Firefox again, reboot, and the update would be there. No longer works.
Is there just no way for Firefox to update Flash internally, especially for users who lack admin rights?
I greatly enjoy using it but if I can can't update Flash, I will have to go back to IE.

    Hi,
    try with this instruction:
    http://www.varesano.net/blog/fabio/installing+flash+player+plugin+firefox+without+having+administrator+access+or+premissions
Worked for me (and many others, as seems)

  • Can not update Flash for Firefox

I'm using Fifox and update Flash to watch video...but i don't know it's still not use. When i enter <extraneous link removed by mod - kglad> have a errors and disapper flash.
Who do know why and please give me the reson.
How to fix it? Thank for help

You should ask in the Flash forum. It may be that you need to download the flash update, disable anti-virus, and install the update. Firefox should be closed during the update.

  • Does br Not work for Safari Browser?

    Using Safari on Vista
If you look here http://www.banquettables.pro/ When you add an item to the cart, there is a shopping cart that appears using ajax in the right column.

BUT the thing is , there is a
between the 2 sentences to make a space. This works in all browsers but safari.
    Does
    NOT work for safari?

A BR tag just makes a line break, not an extra space between lines. It seems to be working fine in Safari. Perhaps a paragraph break <p /> i s what you want.

  • Why does the Acro 9.3 Updater ask for Safari Plug-In 3 Times?

Adobe's software is generally known for its massive bloat (Acrobat 9's 1GB install size, I'm looking at you), but when one of the updates asks me to install its craptacular Safari Plug-In that takes aeons to start up and simply pales in comparison to the Apple Preview Plug-In, and then doesn't take no for an answer but goes on to ask me two more times if I want install its crap I begin to understand why Apple hasn't allowed Flash onto the iPhone or the iPad.
Ok, I'm done ranting for today. If the language is too strong (or honest) for Adobe's moderators, go ahead and delete me. It's not as if I'm actually going to waste money on you again.

  • After updating flash, suddenly safari quits

I used to play games on pogo.com.   Suddenly I got a prompt that my flash is out of date.  SO I went to adobe.com, made sure I got the latest version my computer can run.   Now if I even try to load a game safari crashes.
Thought it was just their stupid site but no.  It's doing this at random any time I land on a site with flash.   Something about my plug in not working.
    techno stuff;
    Mac laptop,
10.6.8  and no, it's not upgradable at this point.
    Safari version 5.0.5
    And I installed Flash 10.6   (I really wish I hadn't.)
I tried using firefox.  That just freezes.   Safari crashes, firefox gets frozen.
    Wonderful product here.
Then I find this forum, and many more on other sites, seems flash is pure crap!!!!!
crashing and messing with a lot of people.  This isn't just an issue with my old computer.  It's flash.
What is wrong with it and why can't the bugs be found BEFORE releasing something?
    AGH!
Meanwhile, can anyone walk me (step by step)  through how to UNinstall this junk and RE install what ever the previous version was?    Even if I can't use that one site anymore.  At least the thing won't keep crashing.
    Thanks.
