Updating flash player...please help?

I have windows 8 and I am trying to play farkle on facebook and it doesnt matter whether i am in desktop mode or modern mode it still tells me to update flash player. well everytime i try to update a screen pops up about flash player issues. It tells me a bunch of stuff to do to fix so i can update it but it never allows me to update.

If you downloaded it, it's likely in your Downloads folder as a Disk Image .dmg. Just open it and intall Flash player and restart your browser. Everything should work.

Google Chrome comes with Flash Player preinstalled, so you cannot install it manually for Chrome.

My Adobe Flash Player needs to be updated to 15.0.0.189 but the site will not allow me to download. Says 'Your antivirus software must allow you to install software.' I have a Mac OS X 10.7.5. I don't believe that what you're experiencing is legitimate. This sounds like an attempt to get you to install malware. I'm thinking that you may have been tricked into downloading a fake Flash Player. Let's throw that installer away and start again.

Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the installation.
If that gives you trouble please try the alternate installer:

Big problem installing Adobe Flash Player, please help?

Please help. I tried to download Adobe Flash Player 5 times without success. Every time it states Installation succeeded, but I can't find it anywhere.
I have to keep closing and opening Browsers without any reaction of the so called installed Flash Player. What a mess!

Flash is installed as a browser plugin. You won't see it as an app in OS X. If you go here it will tell you if flash is installed and working. http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/

This may not be a Firefox problem as such. It may well be that you do not have administrative rights to install FlashPlayer, or for some reason security software is causing a problem. Exactly what do you mean by ''It won't let me download it.'' possibly any error or warning messages you get will be meaningful; what are they ?

Presumably you could use Internet Explorer, does that work with the radio stations ? <br/> note IR & Firefox are likely to need separate installs of flash Player, and certainly you will need to test each browser separately for flash Player functionality.

HI GUYS I HAD LOTSA MESSING WITH NO SOUND IN FLASH PLAYER 10.VIDEO AT FIRST THEN NOTHIN AT ALL.
THEN AFTER UNINSTALLING AND THEN RE INSTALLING ,ICHECKED AGAIN ,YET AGAIN NO VODEO /OR SOUND. I THEN WENT TO TOOL BAR,CLICKED ON TOOL OPTION AND CHECKED THAT FLASH PLAYER WAS ENABLED ,BELIEVE IT IT WAS NOT. I ENABLED FLAS PLAYER THEN WENT BACK ON YOU TUBE AND WOW __EE THERE IT WAS WORKING LIKE A REAL GOOD ONE

ERROR with Flash Player Please help!!

My Roomate was looking at the programs under control panel and well clicked on one of the flash player components and next thing I know it is uninstalled...
My game chat will not work or sign on due to this and I have tryed everything I can think of but I dont know what I need to install or do to fix this.

what is your operating system & version (also, 32-bit or 64-bit)?
what is your web browser & version (also, in case of Internet Explorer, 32-bit or 64-bit)?
what is your Flash Player version (see http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/)?
The error message you listed usually shows a problem of the web application, not on your side. Unless you have the Flash Player debug version installed. What does Add/Remove Programs list under Adobe Flash Player?

Cannot download flash player (please help)

recently i have bought a mac and I have tried to download flash player but it doesn't work at all. I go to their website and download, follow every single step until the end, then it says that it was installed successfully. however when i want to watch a video it says that i don't have flash player, although I've followed all the steps to download it.
i have os x Yosemite version 10.10.1. Please help.

Could be many things, we should start with this...
"Try Disk Utility
1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu at top of the screen. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
*Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
3. Click the First Aid tab.
4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
5. Click Repair Disk, (not Repair Permissions). Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."

Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)
If perchance you can't find your install Disc, at least try it from the Safe Boot part onward.

Brilliant reply. Simple English. Simple to follow instructions. And it worked immediately, first time.
Why couldn't the Apple and Adobe corporations get their programming right first time? We spend billions of UK pounds and US dollars with them. They reply with incompetent programming such as this, and arrogance to their customers in issuing faulty systems without doing the most rudimentary checks.
Anyway, I certainly shan't be buying another Apple as this is the most unreliable, most incomprehensible, most illogical and downright thoughtless shoddy piece of computer kit which I have ever owned. And all of it is rubbish ~ emails disappear, photos can't be organised properly, spreadsheets don't work, Pages is laborious… the list goes on and on...
But thanks to you Dominic, I have been able to load Adoble Flashj… maybe eyou should get a job at Apple, and set them all on the right course to how to work simply and correctly with customers.
