Updating from a lower SKU to a higher SKU; do you uninstall?
At work I've got VS 2013 Professional. I might be going to 2013 Ultimate (hopefully). Assuming I do what's the correct procedure for upgrading from an lower VS SKU to a higher VS SKU? Should I uninstall the Professional before installing Ultimate? Or will
installing Ultimate simply overwrite Professional?

I believe you'll have to uninstall Professional, then install Ultimate.
This is because the VS installer doesn't have an upgrade option, and you cannot have two "full" VS 2013 editions on the same system.
I've never done this myself, so if I need to be corrected, I hope someone else will jump in.

My e-banking software e.g. requires a minimum of 10.7 to be able to further use the secure banking software... You have App store in 10.6.8 and that will enable you to go directly to Mavericks or Yosemite. The latter is a big download so be patient. Going to Lion (10.7) is a waste of time in my view.

actualy we work with NW 7.0 and plan to upgrade to 7.4.
It is a small system for CO & FI. ERP is a non-SAP-System.
Primarily we use Data from external Datasources (some SQL - Server).
Now we plan to use BPC, which is not running on 7.0.
Now my question:
Is it possible to transport a complete Infoarea with all IC, Cubes, DSO, Transformation, and and and from a NW-7.0-System to an NW-7.4-System ?
If this is possible, we can save a lot of time for the Migration-Procedere. All raw-data are saved on a SQL-Server in front of the NW-Server, so that we can load it again.

OliverIt is not recommended practice to move objects from a lower version to a higher version but it works....
We have moved objects from 3.5 to 7.3 and they work fine...
Things that you might face are :
1. All Objects moved as part of the transport would be classified as objects from another system - any subsequent change to them would go into a "repair" transport and not a workbench transport. You would have to ensure that your change control system allows you to add repair transports. For instance if you manage transports through solution manager etc , you might not be able to create repair requests .
2. AFAIK - 7.4 does not have ABAP runtime for queries - if you are transporting 7.0 queries created in the old query designer , they might not work
3. You also have to check if your authorizations have been migrated to analysis authorizations
Another option is to possibly create all business content infoobjects - especially 0CALDAY , CALMONTH etc directly in the 7.4 system , it will help you with future development if any. We had a nasty time with the repair requests especially for the time characteristics.
And finally - test one transport for every component - IOBJ , DSO , UPDR , TRFN , ISTC, ISCS etc whichever is valid for your instance. -

Check to make sure you don't have two firewalls (i.e. a Windows firewall and one on your router).
If that's not it, you may need to dig deeper ... like temporarily changing your router's DNS to use Google's DNS or OpenDNS instead of your ISP's DNS. Or maybe open up a certain port on your router (not sure which one that would be though, sorry). Or, if your computer is connected to the internet over wi-fi, try connecting to your router (or modem) via Ethernet, I heard of that solving a problem like this (though I can't confirm if that was real). -

iTunes won't install everything it needs to run. I remove it from my computer and reinstall it and it keeps saying it. I am using Windows 7 and the latest update from iTunes.
What does the error message say when you install iTunes and it fails?

When you install 10.7 or later, a Recovery HD partition is created taking a small part of the bottom portion of the BootCamp partition so it will be slightly smaller.
However upgrades can go bad and you need to backup regardless.
Most commonly used backup methods
If you can only upgrade to 10.7 on that machine and can't go to 10.8, then really it's almost a wasted effort really.
You should know your PPC based programs that are running under 10.6's "Rosetta" are NOT going to work if you upgrade to 10.7 or later.
Be prepared to buy all new programs.

Also there is a performance issue especially after you software update 10.7 to the lastest version, it's more defined on older machines.
If it's not a Early 2011 or later, I would stick with 10.6.8 on it as it has about 30% version share, almost the same as 10.7 has. Apple is paying attention to Snow Leopard, recent security updates have been issued.

Moving transport from Lower ERP Version to Higher ERP Version?

I got a quick question regrads to Transporting object frpm ERP 6.0 SP 13 and ERP Ehp 4.0 SP 3.
Currently, We went Go-live with ERP 6.0 with SP13, as part of Release 1 Landsape.
ECD ---> ECQ --> ECP
For release 2, which is starting in few months, we are planning to Build a Project Landscape seprate from Support landsacpe.
ECD --> ECQ

2 = Release 2 SID name
Our Support landscape will be on ERP 6.0 with SP 13
and Project landscape we wanted upgrade to ERP 6.0 ehp 4.0 with SP 03. To keep the landscape consistent, whatever work we do on ECD (R1 lanscape), we would like to import to R2 E2D as well, so when we Go-Live with R2 implementation, then our DEV and QA systems will be consitent.
My Question would, can I move/transport object from R1 (lower ERP version) to R2 (higher ERP version)?
My answer is BIG-NO, since version and objects are differenent, all transport will fail.
I want to hear what you Experts say about this?

As per your query it can be moved but you will face some issue in this, there are two type of trandport 1. workbench 2. customizing. If you want to move customizing then your abaper will check this will be transport, but workbench will have some issue due to variotion of verion. But you transport this in your new dev server and do the configuration again in new dev serve then test in your qac. The job is very tipical but its posible.

Sorry for my english, i am from Russia.I have a similar issue. I recently purchased an iPad Mini, and I started off by backing it up from the apps I had on my iPhone. Now, I have a number of apps that never downloaded and that I don't want on the iPad. Some of these are apps that I don't need, while others are the iPhone versions of apps. There are something like 23 apps that I have no use for, but iTunes tries to install every time I connect. I've also tried clicking the 'Will Install' buttons. There's no way to delete these apps from the iPad without first installing them, as far as I can see, and there's no way to NOT install them, in iTunes.
It''s not just annoying, it's causing problems with installation of larger files and movies. Now, every time I sync to the computer, I get a warning that I'm over capacity by 580 MB, and larger apps will not install! Clicking Revert and a bunch of other things doesn't work, either. And I can't just delete some of the apps, because I or my wife use them on our phones! -

I have the following table with parent child relationship which I would like to roll up starting from a lower to a higher level. The catch here is as I move up the level i should replace the amount for a parent with the aggregate value of its children and grand total aggregated amount should be in C
For example; In the given sample data c111 rolls up to c11 as 16 (please note: the amount for c11 is 7 should not be added to 16 rather replaced by 16) which should further roll up to c1.
This means c1 = c11c12; c11 = c111 = 16 so, c1= 1612 instread of 16712.
Since this is a interim table, i do not have any control on how many levels it might contain.
