Updating In Elements 9

I have been able to update Elements 9 since installing it, and even re-installing it.
When I click on Update, the updater box searches for updates and then says it cannot connect to the update server.
This has been going on for weeks. I have checked the firewall settings.
Help please.

Yes, the Old Master file has a folder for each year where I find all photos from that specific year. I am attaching a screen shot of the file.
In the meantime i have managed to download all photos (it did not download any video files though in mpg, avi, 3gp, m4v,mp4 and mov format) to a new iphoto library. Unfortunately the photos are quite mixed and often doubled up. I ma considering to purchase iphoto library which checks all duplicates in iphoto. this will save me a lot of time. What do you think?

Where is the program after updating Photoshop Elements 9?

After updating Photoshop Elements 9, I can't find the program. I'm using Windows 7 and the program is not in the Start Menu, on the Desktop or pinned to the Taskbar. There are no .exe files in the Program Files (x86) folder, there is no Adobe folder in the Program Files folder, and there are no .exe files related to Photoshop Elements 9 in the ProgramData folder. Last of all I did a search for exe files on the C drive and went through all 5936 items - no exe files related to Photoshop elements.
Please help.

Camera Raw update in Elements 11

Camera Raw update in Elements 11
I have installed Camera Raw 8.3 in Elements 11 to use RAW files from Canon EOS 70D
However when checking the about in Elements 11 it still says installed version is 7.4 and it will not open RAW files from camera.

I know nothing about Photoshop Elements. But, according to this list, Photoshop Elements can only work with Camera Raw through version 8.0.

Need to update WBS element in Additional data tab of an order

Hi all,
I have a custom program -> which creates service order against notification. My program uses BAPI_ALM_ORDER_MAINTAIN to create orders.
When these order are created - i need to update WBS element in Additioal data(CAUFVD-PSPEL) tab of on order. In which paramenter and how should we pass to acheive this.
Even i could not go for BDC as the order number at this point is not created.
Please let me know.

Every time I try to update Photoshop Elements I get this message:

Is there any way I can get this update installed?

I don't know what to tell you. I get the same crap. I have been into computers for about 25 years now and it really ticks me off that after all these years these companys can not put out something that works. It seems like they put it out then expect the buyer to fix there screw ups. Why should we have to do there jobs and have to pay for it too?

that's often caused by using a system utility that removes 'unused' language files.
to remedy, re-install pse 13 and then update.

I’m running Photoshop Elements 12 on a MacBook Pro and OS-X 10.9.5 and when I try to update Photoshop Elements 12 to 12.1, I get the following messages.
Adobe Photoshop Elements 12.1 Update
Installation failed. Error Code: U44M1P7
Adobe Premiere Elements 12.1 Update
Done with Errors. Error Code: U44M1P6
During the update process, it asks that I shut down:
ElementsOrganizerRevelAgent
A search of my computer doesn’t find this item. I hit “continue” and get the errors above. Any ideas on how to correct this problem.

Go to applications>utilities>Activity Monitor and you will see the revel agent and be able to kill it there. You can also turn it off permanently in the organizer preferences:

Update photoshop elements catalog did not preserve people tags

I recently bought Lightroom, having been a long-standing user of Elements. I tried to update my Elements 11 catalog, but many of my pictures have People tags which failed to make it through into the Lightroom catalog. In other words, many of my pictures, when looking at them in Lightroom, don't have the tags for the names of the people in the pictures, even though this information was present in Elements 11.
Is there something I can do to get the People information across from Elements 11 into Lightroom 4.3?

I see you have already tried the usual methods.
One thing that puzzles me is the screenshot with the file 'thumbs.5.cache'.
That file is the cache storing the thumbnails : it's an sqlite database just like the main catalog : catalog.pse11db.
Normally, when you 'optimize' the catalog, that cache file is rebuilt, but sometimes the only way to replace it is to delete it, and wait for the Organizer to rebuild it (several hours in your case...)
It would not hurt to do so in PSE10 before trying the conversion.
The conversion in PSE11 also converts (or make a copy ?) of the cache file.
In my tests, the conversions in PSE11 do work even if the cache file is missing, and even if there are missing files. So, trying to convert without the cache file and let the Organizer rebuild the thumbnails in PSE11 is possible.
