Updating/Installing Apps on the phone...great way to corrupt!

Well documented that one bad download over the phone will hose it. No response from Apple?

Also.. If you find yourself starring at an update gone wrong because the icon states it is installing for over 30min.. The way I have found is to shut off the phone by holding down the top button down and sliding the power off on the screen.
Then power back on and login to the App Store. It should ask for your App Store login before you even see another screen. Enter login and wait. A screen will pop up again stating it could not finish. Click cancel and then hold the icon (or any) down until an 'X' appear above the troubled program. Delete!
That is what I had to do..
