Updating Intel HD Graphics 4600

Dear HP rep,
I've got a new HP Envy 17t-j100. I keep getting erros from multiple programs telling me my intel graphics driver is outdated. I've tried all of the HP driver updaters, as well as installing the driver from the intel website itsel to no avail. My coworker has a computer with identical specs, yet produces significantly better quality in both picture and framerate. This makes me believe it is this graphics driver. I know you will need more information than this, but I thought it might be a generic fix seeing as this is an out of the box problem. Thanks a lot for your time!
Tyler

  • Lenovo G510, the Intel HD Graphics 4600 and Radeon 8750M, will not work!

    Good evening,
    I have a Lenovo G510, 59401564, i7 with Intel HD Graphics 4600 and Radeon 8750M graphics card.
I have problems with graphics cards to get it to work permanently!
The installation of the graphics card driver works fine but after about 30 minutes an hour, crashes the laptop and a bright blue screen is shown "VIDEO_DXGKRNL_FATAL_ERROR".
After a restart, the Graffikarten are disabled, a small window says that the driver must be reinstalled.
I have the Windows 8.1 64-bit, drivers from the Lenovo website uses. To reinstall, I used Catalyst_13.12_WHQL_UnifL_R3.01.exe.
I've been trying to determine two days why.
I really need help, I think more users have the same problem.
I am grateful for any help!

    hi angefragt,
    Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!
Did you just got the unit or You got it some time around?
If you were able to use the comuter before you might need to push a system restore to a date when the crashes did not appear. Adn start a Windows Update.
According to this, It may be a conflict, Driver or OS issue,

  • Envy 15t (I7-4710HQ + Intel HD Graphics 4600) SSD Compatibility?

    Hi All,
I'm looking at purchasing the Envy 15t  i7-4710HQ Quad Core Processor + Intel® HD Graphics 4600.
When I try to select the 256GB SSD for the hard-drive, I get an error telling me that the Graphics chipset is not compatible with SSD and vice versa. Either I need to select a regular hard drive or change the graphics chipset which unfortunately would require me to change to a dual core 4510U processor which I'd prefer not to do.
    http://www.shopping.hp.com/en_US/home-office/-/products/Laptops/HP-ENVY/G0T95AV?HP-ENVY-15t
I'm not too phased about buying the SSD from HP directly, I'm happy to add one in after the fact.
So, does anyone know if there is a definite incompatibility between the CPU / GPU and an SSD?
Additionally, is the 15t able to carry both an SSD and a regular hard drive?
I've seen the 15t-j000 being offered with both by default - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00EWHJWLU/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A2TC87EJKQMY9O
Assuming the 15t above is able to run an SSD, does this mean I can buy the 15t above with a regular hard drive and add an SSD for my primary drive after I get it?
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi,
The Envy 15t with Intel HD graphics card probably doesn't have a mSATA slot. That means if the 256GB SSD is a mSATA one you can't have it in your laptop. I think it's the setup for the laptop from amazon. There is a 240GB SSD plus a 1TB HDD which is most likely a 240GB mSATA SSD and a 2.5" 1TB hard drive because the laptop has nVidia vga and also it's a 15.6" model with only one hard drive bay. Laptops with nVidia graphics chips definitely have a mSATA slot.
Yes, you can get the laptop with a hard drive and then upgrade it to a proper 2.5" solid drive.

  • Intel HD Graphics 4600 damage

Hello all,I bought a laptop G510- i7-4700 MQ @ 2.40 GHz. last years ( May-2014). I am sure that my Intel HD Grafics 4600 is damage because all the video´s outputs are off and  in devices manager-Intel HD Graphic 4600 appears error 37  " this device has a problem". I re-installled the driver but nothing happened. As the the card graphic is integrated to microprocessor ,  can i only replace the microprocessor? or should i replace all board ?, Which is my best way? Thanks,Jose.

    hi Jose,
    Welcome to the Forums.
When you said the video output is off, do you mean you're getting artifacts / discoloration on the screen?
Also, the Intel HD Graphics 4600 shouldn't show an error code 37 even with an inbox (generic) driver. If applicable, you may want to consider reinstalling the OS first to isolate an issue on the OS level and run a diagnostic test on the CPU (e.g., using Intel Processor Diagnostic Tool)
    More info:
How to Diagnose an Intel CPU with Intel Processor Diagnostic Tool
If the iGPU is indeed defective then you will need to replace the CPU.

    Hi p,
If you mean software, go to the Apple menu and select Software Update.
If you mean the actual hardware GPU, that is soldered onto the logic board and is not upgradeable.

  • Update Intel HD Graphics Driver

I am getting the following error:

    How do I update this????
This happens when I try to go into my project file.....
    Thank you,

    Jeff
The usual drill is to check the information about the video card driver at the web site of the manufacturer of the video card.
If the page information matches what you have, you might want to check the Intel web site and click on "automatically detect and update drivers and software" before the do it yourself tracking the HD Graphics 4600.
    http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/highlights/graphics/4cp-hd4600gfx
I suspect your card driver is up to date, but best check. Then we will go into the action of deleting the BadDrivers.txt file for Premiere
    Elements 11.
    Local Disc C
    Program Data
    Adobe
    Premiere Elements
    11.0
and in the 11.0 Folder is the BadDrivers.txt file that you delete. Be sure to have Folder Option Show Hidden Files, Folders, and Drives active so that you can see the whole path to the BadDrivers.txt file.
We will be watching for your results.
    Thanks.

  • Unable to update Intel HD graphics drivers on my new computer

    Hi,
I just recently bought a desktop HP Pavilion PC with Windows 8 64-bit which includes an Intel HD Graphics card but when I try to download the latest driver for my graphics (version 15.33.18.64.3496) on Intel's site it says I need to download it from PC manufacturer.
When I search for this update either on HPs site or using HP Support Assistant, it is not appearing so I cannot download it. This is causing me to run games in 'fair' graphics to lower the framerate and the games all say i need to update my video card.
    Please help, growing frustrated!!
P.S. i've now upgraded to Windows 8.1 but still not resolved the issue.
    Thanks,
    Admurphy85

Thank you for the additional information.
I normally recommend a PSU with at least 500W.  However, 600W is better for future upgrades.  Here is a Corsair PSU that will do a good job.  Corsair makes enthusiast quality products for a good price.  It is best to measure the existing PSU to assure that the new one will fit.
As for video cards, I like XFX, EVGA, Sapphire and PNY in that order.  I came to these preferences from being on many enthusiast/gamer forums over the years.  You should pick a video card and get the measurements.  Then, make a template the same size and to see if it will fit into the space provided.  You should add at least one inch if the card has extra power connector/s.  Normally, a card in the range of 9" to 9.5" will work fine.  Newegg is a good place to shop for cards.  Their specifications are more complete than other etailers.  It would be good if you find a card.  Post a link and I will review it for you.

  • Update intel hd graphics driver for hp pavillion p6210y desktop

I can no longer view some youTube in full screen.I hane nto had this issue before. I did all suggested: Updated Adobe (all products) and disabled hardware acceleration. The last recommendation is to Update the Intel HD Graphics drivers and I don't know how. I know almost nothing about computers (I should say I know nothing). Is there someone who can assist me?

    Hi:
The product specs page for your PC indicates it comes with a NVidia graphics adapter, not an Intel one.

  • Lenovo g570 - problems after updating intel hd graphics

    Hello!
I think i came across a small bug. Don't know for sure which software is to blame, but i think it's the Lenovo Energy Management's  fault.
I bought a lenovo g570, with intel integrated graphics driver. Installed w7 64 sp1, drivers from DVD. After a while windows update popuped with intel hd graphics new driver. After installing it, the brightness indicator (the thing that pops up when u change the brightness from the keyboard) got stuck at level 2 even if the display brightness was changing.
After 2 days i changed my mind and installed w7 32 sp1  after finding out it was a bit pointless to have it these days when lots of programs are running on 32bits. The same thing happened on this windows. The brightness indicator got stuck.
The mind**bleep** thing (or not) is that after reverting to the old graphics driver, everything was working ok and the brightness indicator got unstucked.

Same here in Lenovo G 470, I have tried three times installing and rollbacking, but the problem still remains same.
Actually before updating graphic driver if you keep your brightness indicator at 'x' level, then after updation, it will always stuck at the 'x' level, although the brightness is changing.
But I think it is not a serious issue if everything else is working file, So you could keep your driver updated.

  • 3d picture control fail with Intel HD Graphics 4600

I bought a laptop with Intel core i7 with Intel HD 4600 graphics. I'm testing a vi containing a 3D picture control. However when I run the vi, the 3d object that contains the 3d picture control displays a conflict, since the moving object, and this leaves no "clean" screen 3d object made. Any tips?, Thanks.

I too am having similar issues with 3d picture control paired with Intel HD Graphics 4000. Has this issue been resolved and what was the fix?
Additional information, my lap top also has a NVIDIA Quadro K3000M card. This display adapter is used when only external monitors are used and not the laptop display. In this configuration my 3d picture control works fine. When I switch to the lap top display the Intel HD Graphics 4000 is used and that is when I see the 3d graphics issue.
I have tried to turn off hardware acceleration and not given any acceleration option as suggested in the previous post.
I have the latest device driver for the Intel HD Graphics 4000.
    I am using LabView 2012

  • Code 43 error after updating Intel HD graphics video card

    Hello.
My HP Pavilion G6 laptop consists of 2 graphics cards:   1- Intel HD Graphics Family
                                                                                                              2- Radeon HD 6470M
I opened my device manager today, and i tried to update my Intel HD Graphics . Turns out there was an update for it, and after it was done, it displayed Intel HD Graphics 3000. That was after i rebooted my computer.
After the reboot, my Intel card updated. However I re opened the device manager, and i see that the Radeon HD 6470M has an exclamation mark on it. I opened the properties and i see a message saying: Windows has stopped this device because it reported issues(Code 43) . This occured after i updated my Intel card.
I fixed it with system restore. But can someone tell me why this happened? The HP Support Assistan said that there is no updates available, so the device manager should determine that the Intel card is up to date.
    Any help? Thanks.

Don't know what driver you have installed but the latest version is 8.882.2.0 Rev. released Jan 14, 2015
You may get this driver from here should you wish.
    http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-Pavilion-g6-Notebook-PC-series/5145704/model/5170...
Instead of using system restore you may right click the driver in Device Manager and Roll back the driver, makes it easier for you.

  • Intel HD Graphics 4600 Driver

I hesitated to purchase an HP product, but after checking into my choices, I relented.  Overall, things have been fine, but I've got a nagging issue for which I've re-installed the software (Minecraft) and I still have an ongoing flickering issue.
I have the latest video  video driver for the 4600 built in graphics, dated 2013-12-20 , Version10.18.10.3262 Rev. A,
There has been no video card driver update since 12/2013 and mainstream video card drivers are updated once a month or every few months.
When researching in the Minecraft support, they point to a known issue in Intel 4000 class onboard drivers and to upgrade to the latest driver.  Intel's driver is from 10/24/14 and is version 15.33.30.3958.  While the version numbers may not coincide, the posters noted that a driver update fixed it.
How do we get to the bottom of this issue?  I can understand the desire to look at software settings, but unless I hit a non-compatible setting, I should be able to set it where I want it.   Thank you.

4600 built in graphics are typically a part of the Intel 4th generation Core processors.  HERE is a page linking typical downloads for that.  Please bear in mind that there is a delicate balance in how those are implemented in OEM machines and that may be the reason HP does not show any updates for the driver.  You are at your own risk in messy with that balance, IMHO.  You can improve gaming experiences by installing a discrete graphics card, however.

  • Intel HD Graphics 4600 driver works as Intel Xeon E3-1200

I have intel 4770S series new processor. Its properties are listed in the link below:
    http://ark.intel.com/products/75124/
As you can see it is with "Intel HD 4600 Graphic"
I use latest intel driver with mesa.
but i receive as a output of lspci -v
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Xeon E3-1200 v3/4th Gen Core Processor Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 06) (prog-if 00 [VGA controller])
Subsystem: Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd Device d000

    What can I do now?

That listing shows two possible devices: Xeon E3-1200 v3 Integrated Graphics Controller *or* 4th Gen Core Processor Integrated Graphics Controller. And "4th Gen Core Processor" is Haswell, which can have any of these GPUs: HD (GT1), HD4400 (GT2), HD4600 (GT2), Iris 5100 (GT3), Iris Pro 5200 (GT3e).
So the listing is correct, you're just reading it wrong. Also, it's just text from a database that maps pci-ids to a human readable description. This text has no influence on how devices actually work.
