Updating iOS 5 iTunes with baseband 06.15

I have a 3GS with 4.1 iOS and baseband 06.15.00 (yes, the iPad baseband for unlock). I wanna upgrade to iOS 5 but I dont know if I can do this with iTunes update. I dont care if I'll lose the unlock and jailbreak, I just wanna be updated for now. Is that possible or iTunes will not recognize the baseband and will give me some error and lock my iPhone? I know that I cant downgrade de baseband or even clear everything that I need and going back to factory version, but I really wanna install iOS 5 from iTunes, following all the normal process.
Tks in advance

  • Can I update iOs using itunes without internet connection?

I am using an ipad mini 2, second generation. I plugged it in to itunes and there was an update avaible for ios 8. Can I update iOs using itunes without internet connection? Thank you

iTunes needs an internet connection to download the update if it has not already. Then it needs to verify the update with Apple servers prior to installation.
So in short, no, you do need at least some form of internet access to update.

  • Software update check via iTunes with error message (1664).

I had a recent experience with my new Ipad '4'. It is running IOS 6.0.1. When I perform a software update check via iTunes, it returned a message saying that an unknown error had occured (1664). When I connect my iPad 2, and did the same check, it returned the nomal "softawre is current version (IOS 6.0.1)" message. However when I checked the software update via Settings in my Ipad '4'. it returned the msaage "your software is up to date". I had completely rebooted (totally switched off) the Ipad '4' and it still gave me the same message via Itune. not sure what is truly going on here.

  • Updated iOS but iTunes still downloads

Hi! So, a few hours ago, I updated my iPod touch's iOS to 6.2 and after it updated, it showed me a screen that I should plug it in to my iTunes, which I did. And I had to restore it to install the updated iOS. As I was about to restore it, it still needs to download the update again, so, I did and waited. After it downloaded, nothing changes. My iPod is still on recovery mode and whenever I try to restore it downloads the iOS update again. I don't know what to do. Help anyone?

    Maybe:

Troubleshoot your USB connection. If the issue persists, out-of-date or incorrectly configured third-party security software may be causing this issue. Please follow Troubleshooting security software issues. .

  • Update iOS without iTunes.

Is that any other way to update without download it direct from iTunes? i have tried to download the IPSW restore file with my Download Manager  and hold Shift Key+restore menu on iTune but it doesnt work (Error 3002). If i download and update it directly via iTunes, it will stuck in the middle and error 3200. But when i check my network connection there is no problem detected and it can download other file so fast.

from where you downloaded ipsw file?

  • IPhone4 won't update iOS through itunes?

This is driving me nuts!  I have my phone plugged into my MacBook, and iTunes is open.  It just synced my phone, and I am on the iPhone iTunes screen, in the area where it gives you the option to check for updates to update your iOS software, and the button below to restore for issues.  Everytime I push the update button, it says contacting iphone update services, then it says "your itunes software is up to date" when I am not even trying to update my itunes, I am trying to update my phone-and right there next to the button it says your phone is not up to date, push update to update your phone to iOS 6.  This problem makes no sense to me, I already restarted my computer-and it still is giving me the same issue.  What kind of glitch is this and how on earth do I get around it?  Not only is it frustrating enough that my hotspot only allows OTHERS to have WiFi and my phone won't download over the wifi because I am only a provider of WiFi and it won't consider my phone on WiFi.  My boyfriend updated his phone through my hotspot, and my only option is to connect to my computer.  My iPhone is driving me nuts!!!

I have the latest version of itunes(at least it says its up to date with 10.6.1(7) when I check), and my itunes keeps telling me that everytime I try to update my iphone.  For some reason everytime I try to update to ios 6, it thinks im updating my itunes.  When I am clearly in the iphone section of itunes and my phone is plugged in.  This is how I updated my iphone last time with ios 5, since having a hotspot does not mean you have wifi(which is another major pet peeve I have with iphone)... It is just a weird glitch and I am so annoyed w it.  There seems to be no fix.  I wish I had freakin' wifi, oh wait I do, I wish iphones didn't suck so much with there stupid hotspots.  grrr...

  • Updated IOS and iTunes now songs are greyed on iPod Touch

    Hello,
I've searched all over for a resolve to this problem. I've tried everything from removing all my music from my iPod, wiping my iPod, to removing quicktime and iTunes and reinstalling. However the issue still persists.
    The Problem:
About a month ago I ripped an album and attempted to put it on my iPod. All the songs showed up, but only the first song was playable, the rest were grey on the iPod. I chalked it up to a user error on my part, no big I could fix it.
About a week ago I tried to add another album to my iPod, same story, all the songs show up, but only the first in the album is playable. I removed both albums at this time, and did a sync. After doing the sync A LOT of my songs wouldn't show up. Usually just the first song in an album would be playable, the rest grey. After my restore, and iTunes delet/reinstall my iPod doesn't even get that far. I think I'll have about 15 songs out of 3500 that are playable.
When I go to the music tab in iTunes under my iPod the songs that don't transfer have a little grey circle with arrows in it next to them. Not sure what that's all about...
I know that they songs are getting to my iPod because in the summary in iTunes it shows I have 23 gigs of music.
I'm using a 4th Gen iPod touch, newest IOS and newest iTunes as of Saturday, November 17th, 2012.
I'm at a loss right now. I go from having ALL my music on my iPod to next to none.
    So, what's the fix?
    Thanks,
    Jacob

That didn't really fix the issue. However I did half way fix it by deleting all the music in my iTunes library, then adding them again. Not sure what was going on, but it's fixed now.
    Thanks!
    Jacob

  • I cannot update or uninstall iTunes with Windows XP.

I have an older OS (windows XP) and have been trying to update iTunes.  I keep getting a message saying that Bonjour is on another network that I do not have access to.  It then tells me that iTunes.msi is not available either.  Now I am not able to sync my iPod.
I have tried to uninstall iTunes to fix the problem, but I cannot do that either.  I get the same message about this missing Bonjour.  I would really like to update, or at the very least get rid of this version to get the newer iTunes.
If anyone can help me figure out this problem, I would appreciate it more than I can say.
Thank you in advance (especially if there is some simple solution that I have either not seen or tried )

Also using Windows Installer CleanUp Utility is no longer an available option since Microsoft is saying that it damages files as well as fix them.
Nonetheless, it's the best game in town for this particular kind of trouble. So, just in case, I'll run you through my standard instructions for an itunes.msi variant (just in case).
Unfortunately, this sort of trouble has gotten more complicated to deal with ever since Microsoft pulled the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from their Download Center. First we have to find a copy of the utility.
Let's try Googling. (Best not to use Bing, I think.) Look for a working download site for at least version 3.0 of the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (The results from mydigitallife and Major Geeksare worth checking.)
After downloading the utility installer file (msicuu2.exe), scan the file for malware, just in case. (I use the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware to do single-file scans for that.)
If the file is clean, to install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you've downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove".
Quit out of CleanUp. Restart the PC, and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

  • New Ipod Classic How to update to new Itunes with older Mac

I have replaced Ipod Classic today, old one died. I have my library on Mac. New IPod needs itunes update and Mac OSX 10.5.8 can not support latest update. Classic needs update 9 or later.  How do I download an earlier Itunes to use new IPod?

That iPod classic requires Mac OS X 10.6.8 or newer. Mac OS X 10.6 DVDs are available on the online Apple Store; they require an Intel Mac with at least 1GB of RAM.

  • Update iOS using iTunes that has a differrent Apple ID

I have diferrent Apple ID's on my iPhone and Mac mini and I want to update my frimware using iTunes. Can I make backup and update it if it has diferrent Apple ID?

You can contact iTunes Support at: http://apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.html. I wouldn't expect a refund, but they can make it so that your subscription won't renew.
Or you can always just log your wife out under Settings > iTunes & App Stores on her phone, then sign in with your own Apple ID.

  • Was updating ios and itunes wont detect my phone and i cant turn it off or nothing

not sure what ios i was using

"i can't turn it off or nothing" - pretty vague, eh?  What EXACTLY do you see on the phone.  Did you try to reset? (Press both home and on/off buttons for at least 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears.)
