Updating IOS Failed and stuck on recovery mode

i'd tried to update my iphone 4 ios 7.0.4 to 7.1, but it gave error and stuck on recovery mode i tried to restore it to previous ios but failed again, anyone have idea what i should do to restore iphone to previous ios or ios 7.1 ...

You can't restore to a previous iOS. Try this procedure:
Turn your phone off and connect your cable to the computer, but not the device just yet. Start up iTunes. Now, hold down the home button on your phone and plug it in to the cable - don't let go of the button until iTunes tells you it's detected a phone in recovery mode. Now you can restore to factory settings.

Hello, my problem is that I ran a firmware update, my Lenovo S850 was stucked in recovery mode.
When I try to install the update package, it fails, a red circled x appears.
I also tried erasing data and everything from the recovery mode menu, but it doesn't help at all.

Is there a chance that warranty doesn't cover the costs?
If you haven't tampered( the phone hasn't been rooted or flashed or nothing that could possibly damage it.) with the device a valid warranty should cover this.The service center should honor your warranty.
Please do provide an update on how things work out.

I just tried to update my iphone 4 to the 5.01. My iphone backed up and started update but now its stuck in recovery mode and will not restore. It gives me an error message of 1, but I have tried everything on troubleshoot list and still wont work!!!!

Issues updating iPhone5 to iOs 7. Stuck in recovery mode.

I have been trying to update my iphone 5 to ios7 using itunes. When I connect, it starts to download the software. After 1- 2 hours of downloading, it sticks and says it can't connect to itunes server and goes back to some kind of recovery mode and is unusable. There is no problem with the internet connection. It is timing out when it tries the last part, around 2/3rds of the way through. Can anyone help as I can't go back to ios 6.

Placing your device into recovery (DFU-Device Firmware Upgrade) mode:
Follow these steps to place your iOS device into recovery mode. If your iOS device is already in recovery mode, you can proceed immediately to step 6.
   1. Disconnect the USB cable from the iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, but leave the
       other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
   2. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds
       until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
              * If you cannot turn off the device using the slider, press and hold the
                Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time. When the device turns off,
                release the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons.
3. While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the
       device. The device should turn on. Note: If you see the battery charge warning,
       let the device charge for at least ten minutes to ensure that the battery has some
       charge, and then start with step 2 again.
4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen.
       When this screen appears you can release the Home button:

hello, i left my ipod touch connected overnight to my playstation3 to charge and the next morning i woke up to find the ipod disabled. i put it on recovery mode and tried to restore it, but everytime itunes downloads the file, a windows pop-up appears saying "network connection timed out error 3259" and now my ipod is stuck on recovery mode. what should i do ?

Blue screen and stuck on recovery mode (error 9)

Hello everyone!!
I have been having this problem with my iPhone 5s since the last two weeks. I thought it was a problem with my old charging cable but got myself a new one two days ago and the blue screen keeps happening.
Now I'm trying to restore it but it got stuck on recovery mode and iTunes gives me the error code 9. Does anyone have a solution for this??

Lost serial number and stuck in recovery mode

hello my iphone 4s stuck in recovery mode i try many time using itune but it wont work my iphone was eror acur 9 and the serial number of my device is n/a theres no serial number for my device it just missing

I have this exact same issue... when I try to restore my iPhone it gives me the dreaded error 4013.
Could this be dock related? I know the short answer is YES, but how can I be 100% certain?
Already changed USB cable and port. I tried cleaning the dock with clean compressed air (the kind that comes in a can to clean electronics...) and it did nothing...

IPod 4 only working when conected to mains after battery replacment and stuck in recovery mode when conected to power

i have replaced the screen and battery on my iPod 4 i then tested it and it was working so i sealed it closed. (still working after sealed) (when new batterys are installed it is normally reccomended that you give them a full battery cycle for optium battery life), so i let it die. after this i put it on charge and the lightening bolt sign for charging came on, i left it for a full day and no change in battery life and when disconected it died so i plugged it into the pc and this continued so i reset it a few times then it decided to loop the apple sign when conected to power. i put it into dfu mode (the only time the pc reconises it) and went to restore it and it came up error 21 (i think) and now is stuck in recovery mode and dies when disconected from power. Lots of probs

IPhone 4 Failed Updated to iOS 6, now stuck in Recovery Mode

I plugged in my iPhone 4 to update it to iOS 6. After the update was completed, it restarted and now shows only the iTunes Connect screen. Plugging the phone in now, iTunes says that the phone must be restored. It fails to restore every time. I've tried like 1000x.
Help would be appreciated. And please, assume I know nothing and have tried nothing. I'm pretty desperate to get my phone restored, even if for only long enough to get some of my information saved from my device.

Disconnect it from the computer's USB cord. Press and hold the home button while plugging it into the computer's USB cord. Continue holding the Home button while iPhone starts up. While starting up, you will see the Apple logo. I waited so long not to update of my iphone4 to 7.x.x because of bugs and not much stable for iPhone4 and many reviews from friends saying phone is very slow and many bugs but after release of iOS 7.1.1 of many improvements for iphone4. I tried to update my iphone4 to 7.1.1 through iTunes at last stage of firmware upgrading its showing an error occurred error (16). I checked in internet error16 is purely hardware issue before my phone is very good condition in iOS6.1.3 no problem with my phone, But after upgrading to how it will be hardware issues. why Apple engineers are not testing properly their software’s before releasing great updates to customers now my phone is out of warranty and I can’t use it anymore just showing iTunes symbol and charger on the screen while on/off showing apple logo. From the past September there is no proper solution for error 16. Don’t know what these people are doing about that error why apple is crashing customer phones by releasing useless update to phones what is the point of buying such a expensive phones don't know what to do with this phone. Tried many possible ways
Tried: presing home+power button at 95% of firmware update
          Disconnected battery and restored
          used DrPhone to restart
          tried to restore old version 7.x.x
          no luck.

Hi, to get your iPhone 4 back to normal, here're two ways for you.
1. Use Dr.Fone for iOS. The free trial version can fix iPhone screen of death. The free trial version can do that, you don't have to pay.
Just download and install this software on your computer and connect your iPhone 4 to computer with a USB cable. When it detects your iPhone 4 is abnormal, click Restart the device to get your iPhone 4 to be normal.
2. Use iTunes to fix it.
Step 1. Make sure that the latest iTunes is installed on your computer.
Step 2. Plug into a USB cable to connect your iPhone4 to computer.
Step 3. Press and hold the Home button and the Sleep/Wake button at the same time for about 10s.
Step 4. 10 seconds later, release the sleep/wake button. But continue to hold the home button until a message comes out, saying "iTunes has discovered an iPhone 4 in recovery mode, you must restore this iPhone before it can be used with iTunes".
Step 5. Click your iPhone 4 in the left sidebar to show the device control panel on the right. Then, click Summary.
Step 6. Go to Backups section and click Restore Backup.... In the drop-down list, choose a backup file and restore to your iPhone 4

Ipad is froze after updating ios it is stuck on recovery screen

My ipad2 is froze on the recovery mode it just shows the cord with the itunes symbol but wont go any farther.

IPhone not recognized by PC and stuck into recovery mode what to do?

Hy there staff and other friends.Yesterday morning I was playing on my iPhone and then instantly powers up and then power up into recovery mode(itunes icon and the data cable appear on the screen).The problem is that the phone is no longer recognized by itunes so I can recover it and make it work.When I try to connect the phono I get a popup window and the error that the device cannot be used and an error that I got malfuncion device so I cannot use it.
Please tell me what I have to do I tried a lot of things I made researches and no result.In my device manager/universal serial bus controllers phone is found as unknown device and when I try to install it`s driver it says that there is no driver required.
Please tell me what I have to do I am desperate.

The problem is that I have allready tryed all of this you told me on any forum and any issue solved is this answer but it`s not helpfull for me Now my iPhone when starts it`s starting with the itunes icon and data cable i cannot enter in the menu or get the start up bar for sliding as usual.Thanks for your hard work to help me but it`s not the right answer.:( so It starts as I said and nothing happened stays like that for a while and sometimes restarts in same mode.After a while the itunes dissapear and I get the battery on a red color and it starts chargind and after 10 20 minutes something like that it shows up again the itunes logo. My phone was killed by your update. AGAIN! Last time I had to deal with discourteous, uneducated, unhelpful, and downright rude customer service reps (who, by the way, seemed to ignore the fact that I had set up an appointment). Once the issue was finally acknowledged, I had to erase all content in my phone. I could have done that on my own. This time, the update has made my phone completely inoperable, so I can't even call or be called by Apple support?! This is absolutely unacceptable. I can't just have my only phone cease to work every time you feel like killing it.

Okay, I'm not very tech-savy sorry..
The warranty only last 12 months, I've had my phone 16 months so the phone line help isn't available to me anyway as my warranty's expired.
I don't actually know what "jail breaking" is, I've just seen it mentioned as a solution when googling my problem.
I previously synced my phone on itunes, if i restore it, do you think there's a way itunes may remember the information(photos) & back it up on to the restored phone?
I don't know if it makes a difference, but itunes on my laptop has updated itself, and i synced my phone on the previous version before it did so
