Updating itunes is taking round in circles! HELP!

I have attempted to update itunes but everytime I open it, it prompts me to go through itunes set-up, choose language etc. no idea what i am doing wrong. i've tried to uninstall it but it will not let me as says that i have the latest version of itunes on my computer. why cant i open itunes then? and just constantly get taken to install it which is then followed by this error?? im probably missing something very simple but its getting very frustrating.
please help...cant cope without my ipod!!!

Bump! Why am I always getting taken into the setup of updating itunes but it recognises that my ipod is up-to-date? It tells me to reboot, which I do, and then why I try to open itunes we start the whole circle again.

I updated Itunes last night. Now it will not open when I click on it. I have uninstalled it and reinstalled with the same results. Any ideas?

Same problem here - Click to open iTunes and an error box (grey with red X) pops up with the following message:
"iTunes cannot run because some of its required files are missing. Please reinstall iTunes."
Please help! It's doing my head in! Advice on other threads is to uninstall QuickTime and install the previous one (QuickTime 7). I did this and it has made no difference whatsoever; same error message pops up. An alternative solution is apparently to uninstall iTunes and then reinstall a previous version. I have not yet tried this - if i uninstall iTunes, won't i lose my music?!
Apparently this is a common error with Windows XP and Vista users after an update but it has never happened to me before.
Can anyone help please?

Ever since I have updated my software to iOS 7, I cannot download anything from the AppStore app and I have tried resetting my password and updating ITunes, but nothing works! Also when I try to sink my mini with my iTunes account it says you cannot sync because the sync session failed to start.

It sounds like to me you're trying to sync using the computer.
Try these things and see if it helps before you try your next syncing session. If none of the things below work then you might consider trying to sync using iCloud only.
Try a Restart.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
Resetting your settings
You can also try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your device settings again.... All of the settings in the settings app will have to be re-entered. You won't lose any data, but it takes time to enter all of the settings again.
Resetting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Apple recommends this only if you are unable to restart it.
Or if this doesn't work and nobody else on the blog doesn't have a better idea you can contact Apple.

HT5654 How do you update ITunes now? There is no help option in the menu anymore for Windows.

The article that tells you how to update ITunes says for windows you should go to "Help-Update ....." but that series is not available anymore. I can't even tell you what version of ITunes I am running because the About ITunes file is just a summary of the newest features, not the version I have installed.

Use Apple Software Update in the start menu, download directly from http://www.apple.com/iTunes/download, or via the iTunes application.
To update directly in iTunes, turn the menus on by pressing Cntrl + B

I just bought a used mac laptop. I have NO idea what kind this is, or even how to use the operating system. I'm trying to update the itunes to 10.5, but it asks me for a password to do that. I tried entering my apple store user id and password, and that didn't work. So, now what? please help. the message i was getting seemed like the system was asking for a password for any changes to the computer, but since i'm not the original owner, i don't know.....????

It seems the system is still asking for the password of the former owner. I believe you need to reset the Adminitrators account password. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1274

Unable to update iTunes on iPhone 5. Please Help!

i am unable to sync my iPhone 5 to my iTunes on my laptop (windows OS.) First, it asked me to update the laptop iTunes, so I did. Next it asked me to update the iPhone's iTunes and here lies the problem.
my iPhone 5's iOS is up to date. I went to settings>general>software update) looking for updates, but it told me that it's up to date. However when I connect it to the laptop and open iTunes, a message appears saying that I need to update the phone's iTunes.)

Reset the iPhone.
Disconnect from the laptop first.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
Restart your laptop.
Reconnect the iPhone then launch iTunes, select the Summary tab.
See if it says: iOS 7.1.2

thank youUpdates with subqueries can be slow. Get an execution plan for the update to see what SQL is doing.
Some things to look at ...
1. Are you sure you posted the right SQL? I could not "balance" the parenthesis - 4 "(" and 3 ")"
2. Unnecessary "(" ")" in the subquery "(sum" are confusing
3. Updates with subqueries can be slow. The tqtr5 value seems to evaluate to a constant. You might improve performance by computing the value beforehand and using a variable instead of the subquery
4. Subquery appears to be correlated - good! Make sure the subquery is properly indexed if it reads < 20% of the rows in the table (this figure depends on the version of Oracle)
5. Is tqtr5 part of an index? It is a bad idea to update indexed columns

I imagine a ton of people are attempting to activate after the update, and the server is getting overloaded. Simple patience, maybe keep trying, and if possible, try a little later. Think of it as all those people lining up at Apple Stores + about a million more.

Are you using a Mac or PC? If it's a PC, have you tried changing the iPod's drive letter or plugging the iPod into a different high powered USB 2.0 port?

If your 4th gen says you need an updated iTunes then it's talking about the iTunes on your comptuer. For iOS7 you need at least iTunes 11

Updated iTunes and now can't remove songs from my iPod - please help

I've updated iTunes to version 11.0.0.163 and have an iPod Nano 16gb 5th generation.
In iTunes, I'm no longer able to manually select songs to remove them from my iPod - I can't even see the list of music that's on my iPod. The only option it gives me is to sync, and I don't want to do that. Before I upgraded iTunes, it was easy to move music between my iPod and iTunes, now I can't - what's happened?
My iPod is full so I want to remove some music, not all of it. Any advice? Please help - I'm going round in circles!

itunes will now look more like itunes 10.
You can click on your device in the lefthand window as before
You may prefer to use the Music Sync page to select or deselect Playlists, Artists, Albums etc and click apply.
Delete your files is enabled by ticking the Manualy manage music option on the Device Summary page. You may have to scroll down to find it

Time Capsule With Windows 7 Please Help Going Round in Circles!

have just got a 1Tb time capsule for Xmas. I have a 13" Macbook unibody and have installed the time machine and airport utility through this, thinking apple computer + apple time capsule will be easier. All went well and the Macbook sees the Drive and has backed itself up nicely. So very pleased.
Then the problem i have a windows 7 machine and went off and installed the airport utility on the machine. All went fine, but i cant see the HDD, i can see it in network places but all i can do is read it, i can't write to it from my windows machine. Have looked at loads of posts about mapping drives making sure latest firmware (7.5) etc but am totally lost as i read so many different things that i just ended up going round in circles!
What i wanted to do was put all my media, documents and pics on the TC and allow both machines to share from it and use it. But no matter what i try it seems i can only write to it from the mac. I have seen in the airport utility on the windows machine under disks (after selecting manual setup)> file sharing that the secure shared disks is set to "with device password", now i have the passwords, i just cant seem to see where i can see that drive in windows and where to enter the password!!! Should that be set to something else? File sharing is enabled.I assumed once i had installed the airport utility on the windows machine the HDD would just pop up in my computer or something like it popped up easily on the mac! Or am i being stupid and it doesnt work like that?
The windows machine is connected via ethernet and the mac is wireless.
Please can someone help as its driving me mad and i just cant seem to figure it out. Am not that computer savvy when it comes to things like this and am probably missing something really stupid but you know what its like when you have stared at something for hours. Any help would be most appreciated or SIMPLE guide or something

Just an update to the above i can now no longer see the time capsule in network places!! All i have done is retstarted!!! I can still see the time capsule from my mac and access it!!!
