iPhoto doesn't run on Windows.
There are 9 different versions of iPhoto and they run on seven different versions of the Operating System. The tricks and tips for dealing with issues vary from version to version and OS to OS. So before anyone can help, they need information to work with. Basic stuff:
- What version of iPhoto.
- What version of the Operating System.
- Details. What were you doing when the problem arose?
- Did it ever work properly?
- Are there error messages?
- What steps have you tried already to solve the issue.
Anything else you can think of that might allow someone else to understand your issue.
With this kind of information somebody can develop a starting point for troubleshooting the issue.
Posts that consist of "iPhoto doesn't work. Help" or "iPhoto won't print" or "Suddenly I have no photos!!!!!!!!!!" mean that any helper is simply guessing. Blue screen of death after Windows 7 update-cant get into safe mode or anything else to fix!Help please?!

Hi My windows 7 professional did an update 2 days ago as i logged out of windows to go back into os x and since then i get a BSOD when i go into windows which flashes so fast I can't see the error message- -I've tried system repair, restore, image, safe mode, booting off my bootable USB with windows 7 install disk on it- nothing will get past BSOD!!!
I'm on a macbook air OS X 10 and windows 7 professional - any ideas besides completely wiping hte bootcamp partition using disk utility and reinstalling windows how I can roll back that update please?!

I'm on 10.6.8
I use reFit to boot into Windows so after my last time shutting down from Windows it did an update- since then when I go into windows i get the splash screen a pause then a flash of BSOD and the whole mac restarts (back to reFit menu!)
I tried doing F8 in the windows and did every option- repair, enable boot logging, scan, safe mode- no joy
I plugged in bootable USB (i installed from bootable USB originially also but the current USB im using I installed Windows 7 from onto a Dell no probs last week so its fine!) - went through F8 options on that too (booting into the USB windows via reFIt again) - but same issue!
When I do the system image it just doesnt see the USB drive at all with the backup on it

I haven't seen anything from Apple on the Maps App being only in Chinese after iOS5 upgrade. Does anyone know anything?

This issue is all over the forums, and google claims they are addressing it with Apple, the developer of the Google Maps app. However, still nothing has been done, the thousands of users that depend on this app to get around in China are desparate, and we hear nothing from Apple.
Can anyone at Apple comment on this problem, or does anyone else know anything?

I am running 10.4.11 tiger and out of nowhere firefox decides to crash everytime I launch it, I have submitted crash reports is there anything else I can do? It is a Power Mac G4, should I update my system software to Leopard?

I downloaded Aperture and now I'm getting a "There was an error opening the database for Library " and I can't do anything else. How can I fix it so I am once again able to run Aperture?

I Downloaded Aperture from the Apple Website then proceeded to download all my picture's frp, IPhoto. The very next time I opened Aperture an error poped up stating, There was an error opening the database for Library "blank". I can't do anything with the program but hit the cancel buttom which closes the program. How do I fix it?

Is "blank" the name of your Aperture Library? If not, then Aperture is pointing to the wrong Library. Hold down the option (⌥) key while you launch Aperture by clicking it in the Applications Folder. Then select the correct library and press the "choose" button.
If that does not help, try to repair your library:
Locate Aperture library in Finder. Holding down the keys option (⌥) +command (⌘) and double click on Aperture Library to show the First Aid dialogue:

Haven't Seen anyone else with this problem

I installed the iTunes update that everyone seems to be having problems with, but my problem is different from everyone else's.
My iTunes launches itself a couple of minutes after I quit it. I made sure I wasn't accidentally opening it by exiting everything I was using, exiting iTunes last and then leaving my computer alone. It still launched itself for no apparent reason.
I think I'm going to go back to the older version of iTunes until this is solved.

This behavior has plagued users long before iTunes 8. It's usually caused by a third-party application or widget that's attempting to communicate with iTunes for some reason. This can include the iTunes Dashboard widget. Try disabling such items and see if the behavior stops.

HT4623 I clicked on "update all" on my app , however my TRX Force app has yet to update and keeps asking me to retry. Yes, I am connected to WIFI and yes, I am updated to the latest version of itunes. anything else I may be missing?

I clicked on "update all" on my apps and all updated but my TRX FORCE App. it kept asking me to retry even after I connected to WIFI and downloaded/updated to the latest itunes. Am I missing something else? This was an expensive app that I use everyday for my line of work. ??

HT1414 I have the iPhone 4s. I have tried restoring my phone and cleaning out the ports, but I still cannot hear music or my videos playing. This happened after I did the last update on my phone. Is there anything else I can do? This is really irritating.

I have the 4s. I have recently restored my settings and cleaned out the ports. I still cannot hear my audio for music or videos. My volume on the side of the phone does not work either. Everything workds in the setting menu. It is not a speaker issue because the ringtone works when people are calling and I can listen to the different ringtones as well. My notifications and text message audio does not work. My phone does not say that it is on a dock. When I try listening to music, the volume adjustment appears, but it is gray and unusable. Everything works when headphones are in plugged in and when it is on the dock. This started with the last iPhone update. What else can I do... this is becoming very frustrating.

Really strange problem you have there. I have a few questions though.
Please try again and try to make the phone as a new without restoringen with you iCloud-data or backup-data from iTunes. Maybe it is something wrong with the data (strange).
Anyway, i think you should call Apple Support or visit an Apple Store, don't forgot to make a Genius Bar reservation.

Firefox will install, and open the FIREFOX home page--------------but then is unable to download anything else-WHY

Win7 on DELL XPS9000-----64bit. Successfully run IE, Safari and Chrome. Download Mozilla Firefox 17 (and other versions before 17)
Firefox home page loads----------but nothing else loads! i.e., can not access other pages, such as nbcnews, etc.----Nothing.
My laptop runs firefox nicely; I like firefox--------but I can't wait for the thing to never load.

A possible cause is security software (firewall,anti-virus) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

IPhone4s is stuck on screen with itunes imblum and plug into icon to download new itunes update from computer but will not do anything else...totally froze up....

Hello crawford1968, your efforts are appreciated! Was there any physical or water damage on the phone? The factory reset is the last resort option. Have you tried letting the phone's battery drain and then charge the device to see if the power on will respond? We can definitely look into replacement options since the device is not responding. Connect to itunes with my ipod, this screen comes up and then i can't do anything else?

I reset my ipod touch back to its factory settings, plugged it back into my computer and the following screen came up which of course i was expecting, however, whenever i click on the summary, music, apps, video tabs etc, nothing happens and i am still on this screen.
The only way i can get back to viewing the libraray is to eject the ipod altogether so my ipod is now completely useless, i can't get any music back on it..
SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME.

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

I can't restore my iPod: Haven't seen this on any of the forums!!

I will try to make this brief to save time.
I connected my 4G iPod Photo.
iTunes started up.
Got the "corrupt iPod" message.
Clicked "Restore".
Connected to charger to complete the restore.
Restore completed fine.
Connected the iPod again.
iTunes started up.
Got the "corrupt iPod" message again.
I have done every possible troubleshooting step, both here on the Apple site and on the wonderful WWW.
NOW, here is the issue I have, that I haven't seen anywhere else...please read and understand this part!
- When I plug the iPod into the computer, I hear the USB connection sound.
- I check My Computer and there it is; Drive E: IPOD
- I go to iTunes Help > Diagnostics > iPod, and the green dot is there.
- I check the Diagnostics report, it shows my iPod is "truly mounted", has the correct serial number, correct iPod software version etc etc
- Here's the kicker: After all this, the iPod does NOT show up in the pane on the left side of iTunes!! I have uninstalled then reinstalled iTunes, I have version 7.1
- I cannot restore it again, because it doesn't show up for me to restore! But the Diagnostics in iTunes say it is there and mounted. I also cannot format it in My Computer...I click 'Format' and nothing happens. So I am stuck in a loop.

What model was the old iPod?
What model was the new iPod?
The new one has to be same or newer model than the old iPod
First just set the iPod up as new.
Then update the iPod by going to Settings>General>Software Update
After upodated go to Settings>General>Reset>Erase all Content and Setting. \When done setup by restoring from iCloud backup

Aperture 3 - stuck "Updating Library" Processing images

My Aperture 3 Library says it is Updating Library Processing 93,182 items. It gets stuck at 268 of 93,182 and stops. If I try to Export anything the Activity Monitor shows it is processing the Export, however nothing happens.
I have to Force Quit at this stage and then open Aperture.
I have tried the Option + Command on open and done all three options, however this does not seem to fix it.
This may also have something to do with not being able to view all of my images in iWeb photo browser.
Any Suggestions?
On importing my Aperture 2 library I did a complete re-build of it and made sure it was as clean as possible.

I have fixed this problem....for now at least, I deleted A3 renamed library folders and system folders and anything else I could find that said aperture, then did another install and it all seems to work again and it kept all my adjustments etc...so I obviously didn't rename everything! Of course I did a superduper backup first, I was just so pi@#ed off with it not working. I manually down loaded the updates and have opened and closed several times and it still works. It did however work fine when I first installed it so I won't be surprised if it stuffs up again. Anyway at least it is working for now. hope this helps

I start my laptop and can get to the main menu. I see all of my icons and can click on them, but then it will not do anything else. It is like it is frozen.

Itunes keeps crashing when trying to update library

Every time I try to open itunes, it automatically tries to update my library. It gets about two thirds of the way through doing this, then the program stops working altogether, and "encounters a problem and needs to close".
I've tried reinstalling the program, but it still has the same problem.
Is there anything I can do to fix this?

So when you start iTunes with an empty library, does it open OK and then crashes when you try to import the xml file?
If so I wonder if you have one of your files upsetting iTunes. You could try adding files a bit at a time. See this article:
