Updating links on erstwhile Sun Microsystems web pages

For example, the JMF home page:

Has a "forums" link to
http://forum.java.sun.com/forum.jsp?forum=28
which needs to be updated to
Java Media Framework
Some (all?) link addresses on
http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/index-135148.html
have been updated, but the link text still refers to the java.sun.com domain. Quite confusing, that.
I'm sure there are many others like that.

Since the update loaded on my computer my web pages will not load and i get invalid url message

Ever since firefox updated to 17, my web pages will not load. When I type in the search bar and hit the enter button, the address switches to https and i get a message stating that my page is an invalid url and the following message

I have cleared my histories and cookies and restarted my computer but cant get it to work.
I can type in www.google and go directly to the google page and then gain access to my pages, just not through the firefox address bar.

How do I send a link and not an entire web page in

Open the web page.
Click the "Share" button. Select "Email this page".
Mail will open up with the page selected.
In the header, on the rightside under the address, there is a box for "Send web content as:".
Click in that box and select "Link only". Link should appear in the mail.

Linking Flash Banners to a Web Page

I've had a bunch of Flash banners created.
In DW CS3 (on Mac OS X 10.5.8), they display just fine, but I can't link them to a web page, like I can with any other graphic.
Some old info I saw (three years old) says I have to create an invisible button in Flash (which of course I don't have) and place it on top of the banner. Can that be true?
It seems to me incomprehensible that there isn't a reasonably simple method to link ANYTHING in DW to a web site.
Can anyone guide me? Thanks.

I haven't seen any Flash affiliate banners. But I'm not hugely active with affiliate advertising.
Basically, you want to give your affiliates a snippet of JavaScript or HTML code they can copy & paste into their web pages. The code retrieves an image (most often a Jpg or animated Gif) from your server. When someone clicks the link, your site collects and tracks the affiliate ID using cookies and most likely stores this info for later use.
If you're new to "affiliate marketing," there are tools & services to help you.

After updating my java plugin all my web pages look screwy?

I checked my plug ins to make sure they were up to date, and I updated the ones that werent. Now my webpages are missing a ton of things (color, advertisements, pictures,etc). Some of the text will overlap itself, and most web pages just list there features in a vertical list down the left side of an all white screen. Please help?

Try clearing your browser cache.
Tools > Clear Recent History... - hit Details and make sure only Cache is selected, then select Everything and hit the Clear Now button.

Linking from SWF files to web pages

I'm using the latest Flash CS3.
Basically, I want to link from the SWF file to a webpage.
Here's what I've done so far.
Created the FLA file, imported the quicktime movie into it
etc etc.
I've then added a behaviour by clicking on the inserted
movie, then BEHAVIORS >WEB> GO TO WEB PAGE> and filled in
all the relevant text for the link.
Then I have saved the file. Then I have published then OK.
I have embeded the SWF file in a web page, but when I click
on the movie, it shows there's a link, but it won't link to the
webpage.
What am I doing wrong? I dont understand.
Can't get my head around this!
When I go to the FLA file, then publish preview > flash,
and the movie appears on its own, the link works... but the SWF
file doesn't.
Basically what do I need to do to make it work.
The coding I am using in my web-page is:

you could use a BSP for the selection conditions.. ad as for web enaling the transaction itself .. check whether you can use WEB ITS for the same... or maybe a web dynpro...

I recently updated to version 12. Now when i click on a web link from outlook 2010 the web page opens in an existing tab. I want it to open in a new tab.

Win 7 Pro updates to Internet Explorer 11 every web page has blank frames and radio buttons. Updates show only IE11.

Sorry for the annoying issue you encountered and our develop team are trying our best to improve the performance of MS products, As I know, IE 11 was published after many technical tests, thus I suspect that it might be an individual case. I used to run
IE 11 in my win7, and it works perfectly,
Here’re some test you may take into consideration:
Make sure that you’ve installed all latest updates.
Since your Monitors keeps suggesting that the web sites are not running because it’s a compatibility issue, I suggest you add one site to the compatibility view list for a test, (if you can find the settings in Tools>Compatibility view settings)
Or click Win+F12, launch the F12 developer tool, click the last option, change the user agent string and document string to “10”, check whether the page can revert to normal.

OS UPDATE / Invalid Checksum / Appstore / Main Apple web page

Hi.. I know this conversation closed many months ago but I am having the same problem. I have just turned on one of my Macbooks and it indicated via the MacStore that I needed the recent update of IOSX software. Currently I am running 10.8.2... and it showed that I needed the new update of 10.8.3
I clicked on the download button and after download it came back with a message to say the file had been corrupted during download. I tried to download it again via the App Store but it then said that there are no current updates or all updates are current. I checked to make sure that the existing software had not updated and it had not. So I went to the Apple webpage where you are able to download files directly from the site. http://support.apple.com/downloads/
I then tried to download the 10.8.3 combo software... After about 35 mins I tried to install it from the Download file
After validating the file which is normal.. It cam back with an error - "Invalid Checksum" So I deleted the file from downloads and tried again.... Same thing...
I then tried to download the smaller update file (the one below in the image) -
Less time to download but came back with the same error.
So in short I am unable to download this update... I am getting the same error message "Invalid Checksum" when I use either the AppStore or the main Apple software update page on the web..
Anyone suggest anything? I have tried to download this a couple of times now and am getting the same results.
Appreciate any help or advise.

Interesting. I went to apple.com and dragged the url to the dock. There is a clickable space created, which displays "Apple" when you hover over it. I can click on it successfully, as you say. And I can drag it off the dock as usual. But there is no icon! I tried a couple of other websites -- same result!
A small bug, I guess.
This behavior persists in all my user accounts.
Can others confirm?

How to add "return link" when integrate with other web pages

I integrate the BI charts use GO url like:
http://host:9704/analytics/saw.dll?Go&Path=/Shared/Test/SB2
But when drill down by click the pie chart, we can not got the "return" link.
The user must refresh the page to drill up?
It is not user friendly.

GOTO t.code CRMC_UINBLINKS select the business role ,Goto existing group id and add the logical link .
Then Goto crmc_ui_profile selct the same business role and group id add the logical link and click on the visible button to make the link visible.
