Updating markers in dynamic links?
Does anyone know if there's a way to quickly update markers in dynamic links?
ie. I add/delete/edit markers in a Premiere sequence that I'm using in an After Effects project, but unlike regular video edits, the markers don't change.
The workaround is re-importing the sequence in After Effects, which is easy enough, but I figured markers should update automatically.

After Effects CS5.5 will not open a Dynamically Linked Premiere Pro sequence in the comp. window
Hi all,
I'm trying to export a Premiere Pro sequence which is in 2K and the footage has been shot as RED 5K. Adobe Media Encoder will simply not work as I am having the quite widely discussed issue where it will just 'hang' at certain points and not complete the export.
The most popular solution to this problem is to export via the Render Queue in After Effects instead. However, therein lies the problem.
I go onto After Effects. Choose File -> Dynamic Link -> Import Premiere Pro Sequence.
The box pops up, I choose the Premiere Pro Project File then select the sequence I want to export. It then appears in the After Effects project panel window like so:
However - when I try and drag this to a new composition window, one of two things have happened. Either A) nothing happens (literally, NOTHING changes) or B) as the following example shows, it seems to add it to a new composition, but the video is entirely black. I have tried rendering it and it just produces a black video.
The other thing people seem to suggest is to just import the entire Premiere Pro sequence into After Effects. I've tried this, but any titles I have added in PP force the video to fade out then back in, in the place where the title should be?? So I can't export the video this way either.

Thanks massively in advance for any help that is provided!This is months old but I'm now having the same problem with AE and Premiere CS6 after updating last night: Dynamic linked sequence shows up in the project window in AE and even plays video if previewed, but will not drag or alt-drag into any comps, including a new comp (makes a new comp with matching settings, but empty).
Furthermore, I do actually have an earlier version of the same sequence placed in one of my AE comps, which I think was done using the same steps just prior to updating the apps last night. Did this break?
I'm a little concerned since the biggest reason I'm trying to use premiere is to eliminate the exports when adding graphics in AE. -
I have never had an issue with Adobe Dynamic Linked AE files before, but upon rebooting my computer this morning and trying to work on a timeline with AE generated Title files - they are not there - I just have the red "Media Missing" where my titles should be. They all reimport just fine - and work - until I restart Pro....then they are gone again. Help?

I'm a developer on the Premiere team, and we are aware of this issue. Most of you have already figured out that changing the offending clip somehow and undoing your change gets around the "media offline" problem. Unfortunately there is no way I know of to get the rendered preview files back.
A quick way to "reset" your timelines so as to work around the media offline bug is to turn off track visibility on the first track for all sequences that show the problem, then turn visibility back on (or undo). You will have to do this every time the project is loaded.
This problem will apparently be addressed in the Premiere Pro 3.1.2 update.
My dynamic linked AE Title files still appear as un-linked(Media Offline)upon restart - no matter if I re-imprt them or link them again via the right-click menu. -
Since updating to 10.4 I've been getting this error message on computer startup
'AppleSyncNotifier.exe – Entry Point Not Found
The procedure entry point xmlTextReaderConstName could not be located in the dynamic link library libxml2.dll.'.
Please help me fix this annoying problem?

This can occur because libmxl2.dll is not in your C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support folder.
There have been some issues with this and other dlls not being in the right place (or not being everywhere they should be) since the 10.3.1.55 iTunes update.
However, I note that the 10.4 iTunes update is now out - surprisingly quickly - so try installing that, rebooting, and see if your issue is solved.
If it isn't, though, here's the manual fix:-
With Windows Explorer, navigate to your C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support folder.
Copy the libmxl2.dll that you should find there, navigate to the nearby Mobile Device Support folder, and Paste it in there also.
Reboot and see if all is well.
I actually had the issue with SQLite3.dll, and the above fix worked for me (I found it in an April 2010 posting!).
I passed on the fix as above for the similar issue with libmxl2.dll to someone who had exactly your problem, and he reported that it fixed it for him. -
I have windows 7 and after updating Itunes to the latest version, I get this error message...
The procedure entry point uloc_getLocateeForLCID_4_0 could not be located in the dynamic link library icuuc40.dll.
I have tried repairing and reinstalling even deledted Itunes and did a re-install but keep getting the same error message.
what can I do to fix this error?Taken at face value, you're having trouble with an Apple Application Support program file there. (Apple Application Support is where single copies of program files used by multiple different Apple programs are kept.)
Let's try something relatively simple first. Restart the PC. If you're using Vista or 7, now head into your Uninstall a program control panel, select "Apple Application Support" and then click "Repair". If you're using XP, head into your Add or Remove Programs control panel, select "Apple Application Support", click "Change" and then click "Repair".
If no joy after that, try the more rigorous uninstall/reinstall procedure from the following post. (If you've got XP, although the procedure is for Vista and 7, just read "Computer" as "My Computer", read "Uninstall a program control panel" as "Add or Remove programs control panel" and assume the system is 32-bit, and you'll be doing the right things.)

I updated iTunes today (Windows). I restarted the computer but when I tried to launch, I get the message, ""The procedure entry point AVCFURLAssetInheritURIQueryComponentFromReferencingURIKey could not be located in the dynamic link library AVFoundationCF.dll".
I then did a new install of the latest iTunes version and got the same problem. No more iTunes.

I recently tried to update iTunes to 12.0.1 and got this error message:
The procedure entry point ADAdPolicyEngine_DidEnterStation could not be located in the dynamic link library iAdCore.dll.
After that, I get: iTunes did not install properly. Reinstall iTunes.
I tried downloading iTunes again (without uninstalling it) and it won't download.

I deleted, reinstalled, searched, enabled, disabled--EVERYTHING and yet iTunes will not open! This is exactly why I hate updates rom Apple because they do this time and time again. I deleted multiple .dll files and nothing has worked. This is a glitch from the newest update 11.2. It says: "The procedure entry point ADiAdID_AquireMatchSlotIfNecessary could not be located in the dynamic link library iAdCore.dll" and I have no idea what the heck that means!
If there is anybody that is having similar issues and know of what the issue might be, please help =[

Windows version 7. Auto update of iTunes to version 12.1 from 12.0.1.
At end of install process, message 'iTunes was not installed correctly. Error 7 (Windows error 127).
Tried to launch iTunes, anyway, but immediately got message 'The procedure entry point "CMBlockBufferCopyDataBytes" could not be located in the dynamic link library CoreMedia.dll'.
Tried downloading iTunes and updating manually - get exactly the same result.

The error hints at a similar pattern to those discussed in the first and third boxes of the user tip, suggesting that you've got an outdated .dll file that needs replacing. You should find CoreMedia.dll in the one of the following folders:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support
Delete it and then repair Apple Mobile Device Support from the Programs and Features control panel. If that doesn't work go for the full tear down and rebuild.

Tried to update iTunes. After downloading I get this message: Procedure entry point sqlite3_wal_checkpoint could not be located in dynamic link library SQLite3.dll ?? What does that mean?!
Found this several months ago when I updated ITunes. I don't know why they still haven't fixed this, but I had to do this again yesterday 10/13/2011 when I updated.
With Windows Explorer, navigate to your C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support folder.
Copy the SQLite3.dll that you should find there, navigate to the nearby Mobile Device Support folder, and Paste it in there also.
Reboot and see if all is well
In case that your OS is Windows 7 (64 bit)
1. Open windows explorer, go to location C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
2. Copy file "SQLite3.dll"
3. Open new windows explorer, to to location C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support
4. Paste file "SQLite3.dll" to the location.
5. Reboot your computer, it should not display that message, it should be clear. -
I received a message that an update of QuickTime was available. I decided to update. When I re-started my computer, a shrill noise (error noise) occurred and a message popped up in a box: The procedure entry point sqlite3_wal_checkpoint could not be located in the dynamic link library SQLite3.dll Does anyone know what this means and how to correct it? If the advice above doesn't resolve things you could try this alternate version:
iTunes 12.1.0.71 for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) - itunes64setup.exe (2015-01-28)
which is a 64-bit installer for the 32-bit version of the core application, similar to previous 64-bit releases.
Or roll back to the previous build:
iTunes 12.0.1.26 for Windows (32-bit) - iTunesSetup.exe (2014-10-16)
iTunes 12.0.1.26 for Windows (64-bit) - iTunes64Setup.exe (2014-10-16)

When trying to update flash..getting "procedure entry point setdiidirectoryw could not be located in the dynamic link library kernel32.dll"
this is a mere adobe bug - they changed the installer & it wont support installation on windows 2000 system any longer. adobe doesn't seem as it is going to fix this bug, see [https://bugbase.adobe.com/index.cfm?event=bug&id=3120661].

please note that mozilla firefox won't support the windows 2000 platform any longer after the release of version 12 of the browser & the system is no longer supported or kept up to date with security fixes by microsoft too. in order to keep your computer & personal information on it safe you may consider upgrading to a newer system.
