Updating multiple entries in NAST table

Hello ALL,
I would like to get your suggestions regarding one tricky requirement.
As we know we can have multiple sales orders per one customer purchase order and normally we send order response Idoc per one sales order, due to some circumstances we decided to send one Idoc for all sales order generated for one customer PO. We have done config settings not to generate order response immediately after creating sales order. I copied standard FM IDOC_OUTPUT_ORDRSP to Z_FM to include all sales order related data as per our requirement. I'm able to generate IDoc as per customer requirements but how can I insert NAST entries for all sales order which was included in my previous IDoc? is there a way to do it? Because system should not pick up as it is already sent to customer as IDoc.
I really appreciate your help in this regard.
Thanks in Advance.
Prasad

    Hi,
    Steps to insert multiple entries to BAPI table.
    1.Create an instance for BAPI input
    2.Bind the instance to the Node of the BAPI input
    3.Create instance of the Structure(BAPI table) to which input has to be added.
    4.Set the input values to the Structure instance.
    5.Add the instance to the BAPI input.
    6.Execute
    From the given example,I assume Z_Recr_Apply_Point_Input  is the BAPI Input and com.epiuse.us.recruitment.models.veteranpoint.Zrecr_Aplno as Structure
    Step 1:
    Z_Recr_Apply_Point_Input request = new Z_Recr_Apply_Point_Input(WDModelScopeType.TASK_SCOPE);
    Step 2:
    <b>wdContext.nodeZ_Recr_Apply_Point_Input.bind(request);</b>
    Steps 3 & 4:
    int size = wdContext.nodeApplicants().size();
    for(int i = 0 ; i < size ; i++)
    String isselected = wdThis.wdGetContext().nodeApplicants().getElementAt(i).getAttributeAsText("Appl_Number");
    if(isselected == "true")
    com.epiuse.us.recruitment.models.veteranpoint.Zrecr_Aplno appid = new
    com.epiuse.us.recruitment.models.veteranpoint.Zrecr_Aplno();
    appid.setAppl_Number(wdContext.nodeApplicants().
    getApplicantsElementAt(i).getAppl_Number());
    <b>wdContext.currentZ_Recr_Apply_Point_InputElement().modelObject().addRecr_Aplno(appid);</b>
    Step 5:
    <b>wdContext.currentZ_Recr_Apply_Point_InputElement().modelObject().execute();</b>

  • What is the procedure to create entry in NAST table for particualr document

    Hello ABAP GURUS,
    I need to know how to create objectkeys in NAST table for particualar document number.
    My requirement is i need to check my smartform output for Goods Receipt.IN nast table,i dont have any entries for Goods Receipt.So i need to create entries in NAST table.Please help me to solve this problem.

    Regards

    Hi!
    Ususally it is not neccessary to create manual entries in NAST.
    You have to print the document from its transaction. Naturally there may be some other settings which are required after setting transaction NACE.
    If you understand the Letter of delivery on the Goods Receipt, which can be printed from VL02N, then you have to set some automation to your printing using transaction VV22.

  • Multiple entries in the table cabn

    Hello,
    Can Anyone tell me how is it possible to have multiple entries of the same "atnam" field in the table CABN.
    It has something to do with changing number.
    Because I used a wrong select-instruction e.g.
    select atnam in charact where .... IN ....
    So, I shoud used
    select DISTINCT atnam in charact where .... IN ....
    So, I'm gone need to try to put multiple entries in the table to check, if it's working well.
    Thanks a lot.
    Best Regards,
    Kais

    If I understand your Q - you mean there are two ATINN for the same ATNAM in your CABN table?
    I dont think that's possible. If you check CT04 and try to create a new characteristic with same name as an existing one - it will give you a warning and prevent creation.
    Since you say it's a standard characteristic - please mention the characteristic name (ATNAM)?

  • Updating multiple rows in a table in ADF

    Hi
    How do we update multiple rows in a table.
    Onclicking a update button the changed rows must be updated.

    Hi Prince,
    currently I am selecting one row from the table and rendering a region at the top of the table and capturing the user entered data with the following code:
    ViewObjectVOImpl vo = getViewObjectVO1();
    Row CurrentRow = vo.getCurrentRow();
    //After this I perform the checks like user entered value is not null or check input as per business logic.
    if(CurrentRow.getAttribute("attributeName") ==null){
    //Add what message you want to display
    //Add other business logic.
    After making all the checks, i commit it.
    getOADBTransaction().commit();
    Now in my new page I am capturing the user input in the table itself like an excel sheet. Suppose there are ten rows in my advanced table on my page, and each row has one editable field. I have one save button at the bottom of the table.
    Now on clicking the save button I have to capture the user input, check whether there is any null value and if all the entered data is correct then only I should commit it.
    Can you please let me know how we can accomplish that.
    Regards

    Hi,
    i have two tables test1 and test2. i want to udpate the column(DEPT_DSCR) of both the tables TEST1 and TEST2 using select for update and current of...using cursor.
    I have a code written as follows :
    DECLARE
    v_mydept1 TEST1.DEPT_CD%TYPE;
    v_mydept2 TEST2.DEPT_CD%TYPE;
    CURSOR C1 IS SELECT TEST1.DEPT_CD,TEST2.DEPT_CD FROM TEST1,TEST2 WHERE TEST1.DEPT_CD = TEST2.DEPT_CD AND TEST1.DEPT_CD = 'AA' FOR UPDATE OF TEST1.DEPT_DSCR,TEST2.DEPT_DSCR;

              UPDATE TEST2 SET DEPT_DSCR = 'PLSQL2' WHERE CURRENT OF C1;
         END LOOP;
         COMMIT;
    END;
    The above code when run says that it runs successfully. But it does not updates the desired columns[DEPT_DSCR].
    It only works when we want to update single or multiple columns of same table...i.e. by providing these columns after "FOR UPDATE OF"
    I am not sure what is the exact problem when we want to update multiple columns of different tables.
    Can anyone help me on this ?

    oops my mistake.....typo mistake...it should have been as follows --
    UPDATE TEST1 SET DEPT_DSCR = 'PLSQL1' WHERE CURRENT OF C1;
    UPDATE TEST2 SET DEPT_DSCR = 'PLSQL2' WHERE CURRENT OF C1;
    Now here is the upated PL/SQL code where we are trying to update columns of different tables --
    DECLARE
    v_mydept1 TEST1.DEPT_CD%TYPE;
    v_mydept2 TEST2.DEPT_CD%TYPE;
    CURSOR C1 IS SELECT TEST1.DEPT_CD,TEST2.DEPT_CD FROM TEST1,TEST2 WHERE TEST1.DEPT_CD = TEST2.DEPT_CD AND TEST1.DEPT_CD = 'AA' FOR UPDATE OF TEST1.DEPT_DSCR,TEST2.DEPT_DSCR;

    UPDATE TEST2 SET DEPT_DSCR = 'PLSQL2' WHERE CURRENT OF C1;

    COMMIT;
    END;
    Please let us know why it is not updating by using using CURRENT OF

  • Programmatic updating multiple records of a table in ADF

    Hi,
    I am using Jdeveloper : 10g 10.1.3.3
    Problem : I need to update multiple records in DB using ADF feature.
    The senario is like user is shown records of item consisting of item name, item code, category code, price etc. then user clicks "change category code" link availabe against each record. In next page user is shown current code and provided a text box to enter new code. Once i get this in my bean i need to update all records as:
    update item_info set category_code = :new_code where category_code = :current_code. Means to udate category code in all the records where category_code is :current_code.
    I have Entity and View Object for this table.
    How do i update multiple records using created view which is entity based?
    Have A Nice Time!
    Regards,
    Kevin

    In ADF you don't use update statement directly. This is done by the framework.
    You have to search for the records which match your condition category_code = :current_code using your VO based on the entity.
    Then iterate over the result set and change each row to your need setCategoryCode(newCode);
    When you commit the changes they are persist them in the DB.
    To see the changes in the UI you have to update the display using PPR or execute the query again.

    Hi Giri,
    Thanks for getting back to me.
    If I understood correct, sample example updates a rowset which is bound to datatable and changes are committed to database using datatablemodel.
    In my case rowset is not bound to a datatable and user is not updating the rowset.
    PageBean has to update few rows in a table when a new row is inserted in to that table.
    Please correct me if I got it wrong. Is there any other solution ???
    Thanks very much

  • How to update multiple records in a table using procedure?

    Dear All,
    1 am using 11.1.2.1.0
    my question is i have a table like
    emp id(primary key), empname,location
    1                             damby      blore
    2                             rocky       kormangala
    3                              biswa     india
    my question  is i need to write one procure that at a time i can update empname and location(wat the value are there in empname and location i  need to change at a time).
    thanks
    Damby

    Hi, Damby,
    That sounds like what the UPDATE statement does, exactly.  Just use an UPDATE statement to change any number of columns in existing rows.  You don't need a procedure, but, if you're using a procedure for some other reason, you can do the UPDATE in the procedure.  UPDATE works the same in SQL or PL/SQL.
    Sometimes MERGE is more convenient than UPDATE.  Like UPDATE, it can change any number of columns, either in SQL or PL/SQL.
    I hope this answers your question.
    If not, post a little sample data (CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements, relevant columns only) for all the tables involved, and the results you want from that data.
    In the case of a DML operation (such as UPDATE) the sample data should show what the tables are like before the DML, and the results will be the contents of the changed table(s) after the DML.
    Explain, using specific examples, how you get those results from that data.

    So my need is the record should not be overwritten.
    it(2nd record ) should be displayed after the 1st record.
    Any one can help me and send the coding plz....

    instead of using set attribute you should use bind table method to display/update the records in table view.
    step1 ) collect all the data in a local table
    step2 ) and the bind that lacal table with your node
    search1 = wd_context->get_child_node( name = `TABLE1` ).
    search1->bind_table( lt_detail)
    here lt_detail is your local table and TABLE1 is node which is bound with table ui element.

  • Updating multiple rows of a table at once

    Hi All,
    I am writing a stored procedure which fills out all columns in a table, say Table A with one query except for one column, say column 'ABC' in that table. I have to load this left out column using a different query that is referring to some other tables. How can I update this column 'ABC' with all its rows of data coming from a different query?
    Many Thanks!!

    If you post an update with a create table and insert statements it would help... I think you want to update a table with a select from another table using a join... is that correct?
    update customer c
    set customer_name = (
    select customer_name
    from another_customer_table a
    where a.customer_id = c.customer_id_from_original_customer_table
    where c.customer_id in(select customer_id from another_customer_table)
    The where clause is only needed if you don't want to update missing customer_ids to null.
