Updating my BIOS, have stability problem

I have been told on a PC tech forum that my new motherboard may be compatible with this CPU I bought ages ago.

But they said I had to update my bios to 1.2 in order for it to work.

I am new at this and I don't want to damage my PC.
I've been reading about and I think my PC may be unstable and I hear that I shouldn't update because of that.
I occationally have hardware failure crashes (blue screen) and I was hoping that this new processor could change all of that (I have narrowed down the source of the crashes to my hard drive, RAM(maybe) or processor).
It might be the case that my BIOS is already 1.2 and I can skip all of this but I don't know how to check my current version.

I will give some info on my stability problem. I'm a novice when it comes to pc hardware so sorry if I come off a bit dense.
For a while now I have had the same anoying problem with my PC. HD videos and video games run really slow, it's not that I am unable to play them it's just that my PC struggles and they stutter, even though I have been told that my PC should be able to handle them no problem. And my PC keeps crashing sometimes with and sometimes without a blue screen hardware failure.
Over the last couple years I have been upgrading my PC, I added 3gig of ram, then I got an nVidia 8500, then PSU, motherboard, added another internal hdd but the same problem pursists. The only components I haven't upgraded are my CPU and my original hard drive. Everytime I upgrade, my PC runs a little bit faster, but still not as it should be.
I recently got Win7 from my university and I tried to install it on a partition but everytime I try I get a blue screen (hardware failure)
The weird thing is half the time when my PC crashes, it will crash again but if I'm lucky, if I can restart my PC after I get a bue screen, then my PC will run perfectly fine, HD vidoes work perfectly and so do my games. Usually to get my PC into this state, I need to keep restarting my PC just waiting for it to crash so my PC works properly.
I'm guessing that it's either, my CPU, hard drive or ram(maybe) causing the problem. I have tested each stick of ram individually but it didn't make a difference in my performance so I assume they are both fine (or it's both of them).

That would be the wireless number assigned by AT&T when the purchaser of the iPhone signed up as a customer with AT&T. If neither you nor your uncle ever activated the iPhone with AT&T, click the "non customer" button.
Note that jailbreaking often renders it impossible to get an iPhone officially unlocked, so don't be surprised if it fails. If it does, then you may have to buy a new iPhone, this time one that is officially unlocked.

Update to ios 8.2 problems

i am deathly afraid to update to ios 8.2 because I am reading that people are having multiple problems/issues and I do know that there is no going backward to go back to earlier ios so i am stuck hoping that a) folks have found workarounds b) a newer update will come along soon and bypass any problems or c) that the problems with update are now being fixed? Anyone have any ideas on this or are you also waiting to get to the newer update? I have heard problems ranging from battery drain to frozen screens and other glitches. my iphone 6 is working fine at this point with the prior ios update, but i do NOT want to invite new problems so I am trying to hang back. Also that whole apple watch advertisement that cannot be removed and is apparently embedded in this new ios update, any way to stop that, I am ocd enough so I don't want to deal with that. lol

There are many millions of iOS users. A very small percent are having problems at any given time. K7N2G-L Award Bios 4.0 Stability Problems

I recently updated the BIOS on my MB using Live Update. It updated the Bios to version 4.0. Since about that time, I have had severe stability issues (random program and windows xp crashes, even blue screens). I'm not sure if its a coincidence so I'm looking for any information anyone has regarding this BIOS version. BTW, if you go to MSI's download site, they don't even offer v4.0; just v3.9. Why does Live Update make it available? Also, please note that I have run a multitude of diagnostic tests and have found nothing. My temps are all normal (30-40 Celsius range). I have even wiped the hard drive and reinstalled Windows Xp, only to have the problems remain. Any help or input would be greatly appreciated.

Satellite L750D - BIOS update 2.1 and sound problem

I have little problem. I have been downloaded from your website BIOS 2.1 for Toshiba Satellite L750D (PSK32E).
I have been updated BIOS to 2.1 and start problem with sound. When I start game, music or something other only 2 first minutes sound plays properly but then it stops for no reason. No sound at all. I have been reinstalled op system but the problem is still there.
Sound works for 2 minutes only then is completely off. Every start application with sound plays 2 minutes and stop all quiet is. I have made a probe on my mother laptop its a twin laptop. I have been updated bios same problem 2 minutes and then no sound. My operating system is win 8 pro 64 my mother laptop is with win 7 x64 premium.
Two BIOS updated 2.1 ver on L750D and the problem is same. Please fix BIOS.

The BIOS seems to be very old. I was released nearly 1.5 years ago so to be honest I doubt its and BIOS issue.
I had the similar issue with my other notebook equipped with an Realtek sound card.
The sound appeared again after plugging and removing the headphone jack
But i could solve this installing the newest sound driver update from Realtek driver page.
But it seems that your Satellite does not support Realtek sound chip but Conexant sound chip.
Therefore the solution might not be useful for you.
However, I think you need to update the sound driver.I recommend you to google for Conexant SmartAudio HD driver and to test the newest available driver version.
In internet I could found the Conexant SmartAudio HD Driver version 8.65.9.51 for Win 7/ Win 8 / Win 8.1
Not quite sure if this is the newest version but you can test it.
In order to manually update your driver:
1. Go to Device Manager (right click on My Computer, choose Manage and then find Device Manager in the left panel)
2. Right click on the hardware device you wish to update and choose Update Driver Software
3. Choose to select the location of the new driver manually and browse to the folder where you downloaded the driver

Stability problems since the last update

It's really easy and intuitive to work with Muse but since the last update I am facing a lot of stability problems with the software, just wanted to know if some of you do so too or I should reinstall it. Here are the Major Problems,
- Zoning in further than 125/150 % will crash the program
-I am currently working on a 30mb (muse file size) big homepage about 8000px long. I didn't have any problems when stretching the page so long in the beginning but now the program will crash as soon I try so change the site length, including click an drag at the bottom and manual input via site->site properties.
I work with Windows 7x64, a I7-3770 and 16gb Ram.
I use the other products of the CC as well and didn't face any stability problems so far even though i think some of them need way more workingpower :/
So, what do you think?

If you have a large image on the page that was imported using File > Place or as part of a slideshow and it's being cropped in Muse, zooming in/out on the page can trigger a crash. I wish I could say this was newly introduced, but it's not. It's a bug we've been living with for awhile because the fix requires significant architectural changes. We've made those changes for the next major release (due out later this quarter), but this bug is still in Muse 7.
You can avoid this crash by resizing and cropping the image(s) outside of Muse before bringing them into Muse.

Satellite A40: How to update the BIOS because I only have half of the Bios

i went to the local computer shop with my satellite A40 because i only have half of the bios !!!
I sent an email to the german toshiba technical support and they said try a bios update (which baring in mind i still dont know how to do)then we sent my laptop to a local computer shop and told them the problem they told me not to update bios on a cempron processor.
Why not? What are the risks in need to know.
please help me because i want to in the future possibly upgrade to vista??

Whats wrong with the BIOS?
The Toshiba support said -> try a BIOS update.
On the Toshiba page you can download the BIOS for the Satellite A40.
It seems you didnt check the download page detailed because on this page you would find this instruction:

Standard troubleshooting...
1. Try a Restart by pressing the sleep/lock button until you see the slider. Slide to power off. Restart by pressing the sleep/lock button until you see the Apple logo.
2. Try a Reset by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.
3. Remove apps from Recently Used (multi-tasking) list...
- From any Home Screen, double tap the home button to bring up the Recents List
- Swipe up on the app preview card to remove it from the list
- Press the home button when done.
4. If still a problem restore with your backup.
5. If still a problem restore as new, i.e. without your backup. See how it runs with nothing synced to it.
6. If still a problem, it's likely a hardware issue.
