Updating my Nokia E72 (RM530)

Hello everyone.
I saw a few threads saying there is new version out for nokia e72 (052.xxx)
But for some unknown reason I can't install it or even see it in nsu.
Can anyone help me?

am unable to update my phone. I bought my white E72 in Finland in summer 2010 with CASH from verkkokauppa.com, not operator locked.
The phone package says "Made in Finland".
PC Suite says: Your device software is already up to date.
*#0000# says the same. It also says I have the latest firmware. I do not!!!

No one is able to help at Nokia Flagship Store, Aleksanterinkatu, Finland. They only claimed I must have hacked my phone. I HAVE FUCING NOT"!"!"!"!
Repair Service says I have to GIVE AWAY MY PHONE FOR 2 business days to get the **bleep**ing update.
This is a business phone and I CAN NOT **bleep**ING GIVE THIS PHONE AWAY AS I NEED IT FOR BUSINESS.
THIS SUCKS!!!!

Pushed Update to Nokia E72 - MEANS MUSIC STOPPED W...

Today Nokia pushed an update to my Nokia E72 and since the update when I try and listen to music most tracks just skip onto the next without starting to play OR play for 4 seconds then moves onto the next song. Super annoying! Tried to format memory card. Still the same, hard reset, still the same... What happened Nokia!?!

Version Date: 10th Dec 2009 (downloaded 5th Feb 2010)

The best method actually for the end user is via NSU or Ovi Suite. It seems certain settings on your computer may be affecting the installation. Please uninstall NSU, and clean out your PC of all Nokia instances using Nokia PC Suite cleaner. Turn off you antivirus and firewall (I have mine set to recognize Ovi Suite as friendly, maybe you could do that as well), and install PC Suite, NSU and retry the update. Do not run any app as you do this, and keep AV and FW turned off.
If you find that you still cant update properly, you can have your phone updated at a Nokia Care Center. Its free if you are still under warranty.
There is no guarantee that your problems will be solved. Updates will only solve bugs. However if your problem is corrupted system files, the fw update may not help unless the update replaces those system files. However if the files are on the memory card, an update will not help and the only solution for that is a card reformat.

Dictionary Update on Nokia E72

Hi,
I've been using Nokia E72 since dec 2012. Today, I've formatted my mobile by using code *#7370#. Now it is working good. But, I am unable to download other language for dictionary uses as I was using Hindi n English Language in my mobile.
Please help me as it shows an error says 'expired certificate'.

Not certain at all but since release upon 021.024 there have been updates 022.007, 023.002, 031.023, 051.018, 052.005, 053.001, 071.004 and latest 081.003 which is considerably more support than most devices receive in their lifespan!

I want know about blog changes..
I only noticed that the digital watch of desktop is in big view. And the performance of phone better than before. But the email is not cofugiring....

Urgent firmware question (nokia E72)

i just update my nokia e72 firmware to 031.023...
but don have chinese in it....
do this new firmware got chinese + english version?
if got how i gonna to flash back to get it?

The product code of your device determines the language support for the firmware update. If you want to change the languages, you have to bring it in at a Nokia Care Point. Remember though, that at the next firmware update, the languages will be set to the original product code.

That being said: Are they all trying to connect to the same user account? Are they different users? It might be an issue of users settings. Make sure the users are enabled on the groupwise connector first. Then mobility. If they are both enabled. Check the monitoring tab and make sure there are no errors in the sync status for the users.

Nokia E72 firmware/software update

Hi all,
I am having problems in opening the Gallery contend: sound, pictures, videos....as soon as I try to open it, it stays as opening and after an hour of "opening", I have to remove the battery.
I did twice hard reset. Formatted the memory card, and twice reinstalled the firmware 053.001 using Nokia software updater, still having the same problem.
Firmware version is 053.001, E72-1, RM530. I cannot update to any recent firmware, it says that the phone is up to date.
I do not understand the way this update works, some gets it some not. I think that any firmware is, or must be and improvement of the function of the phone for all!
I would like to update to the latest one, or at least the 081.003 which I have on different E72 and works well enough.
Any help is welcome

I see now, a bit of google search and found out what debarnding means:
"De-branding basically means removing the firmware set by the operator,
and replacing it with the manufacturers original firmware. Hence
converting your phone to the full spec as it was intended by the
manufacturer. (the way it should be)
...Once your mobile has been de-branded, you will notice all the menu
systems are clearer, un-restricted, and often faster too. The process
will also install the latest firmware to date, which will hold
improvements on your old firmware. This often removes any software
faults & bugs that your phone previously had."
So, the 0591365 = E72 RM530 E-Plus DE Zodium Black Free Navi - V2 - MR, the only firmware available is 53.1 this gap to the latest one 91.4 is missing, the operator just stopped supporting it.
...If I am not wrong.
This phone I bought it from eBay and, and needs a new firmware, at least a better one, this one is not working well.
Maybe this is the reason was sold.

Nokia E72 - How much free mem after update to 91.0...

Hello!
Obviously there are not too many still using the Nokia E72 around here. But of those having updated to firmware version 91.003, could anyone please tell me how much free mem there is after startup, i.e. with PhoNetInfo or a similar application? Would be much appreciated. With 73.001 I have about 40 to 41MB with unused apps deinstalled or turned off.

Nokia E72 - Set up Hotmail, Gmail and Yahoo accoun...

I bought my E72 3 days ago and the first impression i got was disappointing.
The first action you do when switching on E72 for the first time is to set up your email accounts.
Remember, E72 is Nokia's top email phone!!!
I chose hotmail. I enter my email account and then my password as requested.
And the next screen i get is nothing but the previous one!!!
The same happens with Yahoo accounts.
I found a way to work around the crash and set up my account through the "other" tab available on the wizard.
I am really disappointed that i have changed my beloved E71, to get an even more proffessional solution that in the end needs a total update to set up our emails.
There must be a solution in the next software upgrade and must be installed for free in all Nokia's stores.

How to enable instant messaging in Nokia E72?

Hello,
As per Nokia E72 user guide, the phone does support IM(Instant Messaging). However I am not able to locate it? Could someone help me with IM set up?

Since IM is firmware it must be somewhere. Did you check all other folders for IM? Reset the phone or update with Nokia Software Updater. There are alternatives like Fring. Download with OVI store. You can find IM there too.

Nokia E72 custom theme problem

well i faced a wierd problem recently ,
i don't like the original theme of the phone so i shearced for a black theme on ovi store and i did find a black theme and installed successfully and i made sure it's 4 e72
so when i'm on business mode i go to themes > general to select it so it works just fine
but when i switch the mode to personal then go to the themes menu it autmatically change my them from black personal to golden business so i reselect black personal again the go back to my business mode > themes menu ( when i click on themes the theme changes to also from my custom theme to original golden business) so i must reselect it again
so it seems that i have to customize only one theme if itry to customize the other it would corrupt
have any one noticed this.

well yes it's me and my current firmware ver is as listed in my sig.is 053.001 of the 26 of nov 2010
and the wallpaper issue of the modes happened after i updated to the new firm ware
it wasn't there when i first bought the phone fw 032**** i cant remember actually
and the firm ware was installed succesfully by me and by nokia care centre as i went 3 times
(i miss my old firmware actually, but unfortunatlly i can't get it any where
[ i also asked nokia care to install my older version but they told me it's no longer available ]
and i haven't restored any system files that would corrupt the software
i use the ovi sync just to sync contacts and calendar and notes
and for the theme issue which i mentioned in that topic it's realy annoying u can`t modify both themes just one theme only
and for ur phone it nokia e73 with different firmware version that does'nt have corruption .
mine 053.001 is a big mistake and i did the biggest mistake for installing it.

Nokia E72 Wlan coonection

hello i got the nokia E72, and i have a wlan connection at home, so it always connects automaticaly and downloads the emails, and the wlan connection symbol is always on in the bottom of the screen, how to turn this off? cos it will consume more battery power

I have the same problem. A pop up window appears "asking for select connection, WLAN, Access point etc" after few minutes. Its very frustating as every time i have to use phone i have to close that Pop up first and keeps on coming even i have selected the Packet data connection set "When needed" and Show WLAN availability set to "Never". My present 031.023 dated 31 March 2010. Phone Model E72-1. I am not sure if this problem was in previous version as or not as i update my Phone Software version from Nokia Centre on same day right after i bought the New phone.
Please advise what should i do for this issue. If it is a software related problem or any other settings need to be changed. Your help will be appreticated.

they need to update the now v40 to a higher version,its slow.. They need to remove fade effect of menu, even if effects are off,fade is still obvious. Please do contact nokia customer care.coz i think they will do everything to solve as long as u will explain the problem.like my e72 app manager problem,they fixed it after an update. So can someone please submit a report to nokia? Thanks!
