Updating podcasts: Full menu not available

I cannot force my podcasts to update by choosing the menu on the podcast when there is no specific podcast available on my iTunes. The full menu is available when the Podcast gropu has at least one specific podcast in it.

I had the same problem. I don't know if Apple screwed this up and its a bug or something but how I fixed it is instead of using the list view you have to view the podcasts in the "cover" view {the middle button in the view options} and then you can click on each podcasts and the full menu is there for each one.

Subscribe to podcast that is not available outside a country?

Does anyone know if/how I can subscribe to a podcast that is not available outside its "home" country?
More specifically, I'd like to subscribe to this podcast:

I can subscribe to it, but I only get "episodes" that say that it is available only in Switzerland.
Is there an easy way to still obtain the episodes?
(Setting up a proxy is probably too cumbersome to me.)

You need to be in a country to use its store, so unless you are in the US with a US billing address on your account then you can't buy from the US store - you can only use the South African store. You can try requesting that the song be added to the South African store, but unless the rights-holder agrees to it then Appl won't be able to sell it there : http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunes.html

With everyone and their iDogs trying to update at the same time, things are gonna be a bit bumpy off the bat trying to update and/or activate.
All anyone can really recommend is to keep trying or wait until a bit later, after the hubub has died down.

"Estimated time left to full charge" not available on lock screen after 5.1 update

Hi,I am glad Sony is pushing the new updates faster than the others. However, there seems to be a lack of testing. Till today I wish I could go back to Kitkat officially, especially for the reason that equalizer/music controls worked on all apps including youtube. But after lollipop, the volume is too low for youtube and other music streaming apps. Anyways, with a recent update, now I am not getting to know how much more time my phone will take for a full charge as the msg on lock screen is no more available. I am not disappointed with the hardware but Sony, kindly provide a single stable bug free build of lollipop which can match the quality of Kitkat. Thanks

Mozilla edit menu not available. Customize does not provide way to turn on menu bars, still don't have view or edit

My edit toolbar is not available. None of Google help's suggestions work. Customize does NOT have a tab to turn on menu bars - I have reset Mozilla and I am not on full screen. Thanks for any help

The classic Menu Bar is not displayed by default, so after Reset, it will not appear immediately. To turn on the Menu Bar, try one of these:
* right-click a blank area of the tab bar
* right-click the "+" button on the tab bar
* tap the Alt key to display the classic Menu Bar temporarily, then View > Toolbars
* in Customize, try the Show/Hide Toolbars button

Firefox keeps wanting me to update & License agreement is not available. How can I get Firefox to stop this behavior???

Firefox strongly suggests update but when I get to the license agreement it says it's not available...go to home page.. Can't find it there..can you either provide license agreement or stop asking me to update!? Thanks

Do a clean reinstall and download a fresh Firefox copy from http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html and save the file to the desktop.
Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
You can skip the step to create a new profile, that is not necessary for this issue.

Third generation ipod shows incorrect language and settings menu not avail.

My thirty gig., third generation, Ipod shows the German language and the "settings" menu is not available to change the language back to English.Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I finally found that "settings" menu by trial and error and I was able to change the language back to english. It was a royal pita lol.

"New root object" menu not available

I'm using SJS Directory Server 5.2patch3 on Solaris 9, installed silently through state file and all seems to work fine (even if I don't understand why I have to repeat the installation more than one time since the first one doesn't create the proper directory structure inside the installation directory).
Through the Server Console, I created then a new subfix (o=people,dc=my) with its individual database under the userRoot (dc=my) and now I'm trying to create a new root object under the configuration panel (o=people which would reference to the dedicated database created in the previous step). That menu option is not available, which appears a bit strange since I'm logged in as cn=Directory Manager, which should have the proper rights to complete this operation.
The only solution would be to initialize the database through an LDIF file but I don't have a clue about all the attributes I should assign to that organization, acis ecc. It would be simpler to use the console; at least, I'm curious WHY the console doesn't allow to accomplish that step.
Any help greatly appreciated.

The "New Root Object" task only appears if you created a new suffix.
Have you done a right-click on the server or on the "dc=my" entry?
Tested this for you some minutes ago with DS5.2Patch3 on Solaris9/SPARC and it worked out fine.

AppleWorks color menu not available

I've tried to find the color menu and was told to trash preferences and restart but prefs is not available either. Please let me know what I can do to get my color back and also what could have happened to the
file preferences. Thanks.

The "Text Color" menu, at least when we are working in a text document is available at the very bottom of the menu "Text".
I never saw a corrupted preference file removing this menu item.
If you are missing the Text color BUTTON, it is an other story.
You may have a corrupted "AppleWorks 6 Button Bars" preference file.
Or you may have removed the button from the button bar.
If you did that, look at the help for the chapter beginning with:
Adding or removing Button Bar buttons
AppleWorks comes with many preconfigured buttons for common tasks. You can add these controls to the Button Bar.
To add a preconfigured button to the Button Bar:
1 Choose Preferences from the AppleWorks menu, then choose Button Bar from the submenu.
2 Drag the preconfigured button from the Available Buttons list to the Button Bar.
Tip: You can also double-click the button in the list to add it to the Button Bar.

Itunes doesn't delete my old Podcasts which are not available anymore !

Here's the problem:
We used to podcast different feeds, it was working very well, each feed was available on Itunes with its own logo/graphic.
Then we changed URLs and re-apply on Itunes: different URLs, Different Category (government&organizations: United Nations). But everyfeed was on Itunes: The old one+logo and the new one+logo. After useless attempts, I've decided to tell Itunes to delete the old URLs (to avoid any confusion, the old one is not updated anymore), giving the right ones. I repeated my request 2 times on the form(more than one month ago). Still no change.
I don't know if I'm clear (because of my basic english, sorry by the way). Can someone from Itunes contact me ?

Which form did you use to ask them to remove the old feed? If you just contacted iTunes Support using the website, that might not work. What you need to do is go to your old feed's page in the iTunes store, hit the "Report a Concern" button, and in the "Choose Reason" list, select the "is mine and I would like it removed from the Music Store" option.
Then you need to describe (in the message) that you have moved URLs and have new listings in the Store, and that you would like this old listing deleted. You need to do this for each of the old feeds.

SCANNER UPDATES FOR EPSON v500 not available for maverick?

OK - I updated to MAverick and have no scanner. You know, the little white circle with the line through it, indicating that the woftware and drivers will not work on Maverick. So, I went to Epson (I have Epson perfection v500 photo scanner), and they direct me to Apple Software Update at Apple Store. The Apple Store has no update for the epson. And, in an article, says that third party software need be gotten from the maker. so, how do I update. anyone know? Since apple insists that all updates go through apple store, they should be up to date on everything as they try to corner this market. a little upset.

Has actually been removed from the Epson sites.
Only the old drivers and the ICA Scanner driver (very limited and thus with poor performance) remained.
I think Epson is only interested in selling new stuff (look at the questionnaire they ask you to fill in when you visit their sites).
But the question remains: what to do with my precious EPSON PERFECTION V700 PHOTO scanner?
Buy a cheap WINDOWS machine and tranfer the results to my iMAC?
Weird, but in the given circumstances maybe the only workable fast solution with guaranteed results.

Software Update for Nokia 5800 ---Not Available In...

On the Nokia-Asia Website it clearly states the V31 Firmware update is available, but when i try to Update my phone, it does not pick up that the update is available( i have tried both Nokia Software Updater & Using the phone's updater)
Is this just for Australia,or is there a problem with my phone?
