Updating PR 1.2 guide.

Hi all there, Since I m very new to this device and certainly don’t have much knowledge. Can you guys tell me what is the best and easiest way to upgrade the new FW PR 1.2. Im from Dubai, UAE and I believe it will be released tomorrow if im not mistaken, since the UK version is released today.
Do I upgrade via FOTA or use NSU. I certainly cannot used the flasher because im not good into  tech and commands. Please help.
How much memory is needed to download this firmware? How do reduce the memory from rootfs. I will appreciate if any  of you guys can help me step by step as im reading these posts ,you guys are genuinely smart with this device I wish i could have been too.
Thanks

  • Since updating to iOS 8 guided access does not work

I Was given a iPad mini at school to use for test taking on SofTest. Since updating to ios8, my guided access no longer turns on when I triple click.  But it worked fine before the update. I am not the only student having this issue. I tried resetting, without deleting all content. I rebooted several times, turned access on and off while rebooting, and still nothing.  Does anyone have any ideas or is this an ios8 flaw?

Are you still having this issue? SofTest's Guided Access seems to be working alright on my iPad, although I think there was a small stretch where it wouldn't work.

  • Updated LV NXT programming guide?

I see that there exists the "LabVIEW Lego Mindstorms NXT Module Programming Guide" for 2009.  Does anyone know if there is a comprable manual with maybe a different title for LabVIEW 2013?  Among other things I'm hopping for a complete list of Direct Mode Commands.  I am not sure if I've upgraded/updated properly.  I was expecting to see in my Direct Mode Pallet:  "Creat NXT Object" and "Destroy NXT Object".  Are these still part of the newer versions of LV NXT pallets?
Thank you for looking at my post
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hi dunnor,
Your best bet for getting code executing correctly the first time is starting from one of the examples in the Example Finder. Please note that all those examples will work for NXT or EV3.
I wrote a program to find direct mode VIs, and found 176 direct mode VIs from the palettes. The palettes are logically organized in a way that is probably more instructive than this list. I doubt this is exactly what you're looking for, but I am just trying to be as helpful as I can be, recognizing that the documentation for the module is lean. The most thorough and up to date documentation is the context help. Open the context help window using ctrl+H, and hover over a subVI or palette item to get a detailed description of its usage.
Attached is the program that creates a list of direct mode VIs available to you, along with VI description and icon. You can find the VIs by VI name using search (ctrl+s) or quick drop (ctrl+.), or navigate to them using the palettes. The VI takes a couple minutes to run.
If you encounter any difficulties in your project, do not hesitate to post them here.

  • In the latest update to Dreamweaver, tables guides/guidelines are missing when the border is set to 0. Before they used to show a guide in design view. Any idea on getting this back?

I noticed that under VIEW > VISUAL AIDS there is a table borders option. But that whole menu is grayed out.
For designing e-mails, this would be extremely useful.

Are you in Live or Design View?

  • Request for documentation update: SDK 3.0 Guide

Multiple custom metadata tagset definition tables can be returned as elements in the returned table. The documentation only indicates a single tagset definition table being returned.
I wasn't sure if this would work - since multiple files can be returned, I thought maybe that was the way to define multiple tagsets instead of nesting in a single file, but nesting works, two - similar to the other similar return tables for export and menu items (which you can not specify multiple files for...)

Hi, Kevin & welcome to the forums.
    I'm a bit confused, sorry.
iPhone SDK 3.0 - is that what you are discussing here?
iPhone SDK 3.0 is still in beta - and there is no fee that I know of...also no activation code.
You must be a registered developer to download and use the SDK, but there is no fee for that. There is a fee for developers that want to use the App Store.

I have checked the code. There is no problem in the current portion of the code, you have provided (I was wrongly thinking it should be insert into....!! mistake)
I have tested with Oracle Database and classes12.zip in classpath. It ran smoothly.

  • New Channel Guide is Even Smaller Than Before

We have two TVs connected to Verizon FiOS. One TV is on a DVR and the other is simply on a set-top box. The TV on the set-top box has a channel guide that shows seven channels over 2 1/2 hours in full HD (9x16) format. It has always been superior and doesn't seem to have changed with the Feb. 4 update. The channel guide on the TV with the DVR used to show only six channels over 1/12 hours in old 3x4 format. The Feb. 4 upgrade made it even worse, now it only shows five channels over 1/12 hours in 3x4 format. All we want is for the channel guide at the DVR to be as good as the one with the set-top box. I tried and tried to change settings on the TV and DVR but cannot fix it. I phoned Verizon technical support and was told that our Motorola DVR simply cannot accommodate the guide that our Motorola set-top box does. He added that the service in our area cannot change to Cisco or other DVRs that might support better guides. We should not pay the premium for a DVR when it has a poorer channel guide than a set-top box. It is hard to understand why Motorola would produce a better set-top box than DVR, if the set-top box and DVR are really the culprits.
We like to view at least six channels at a time so we can see all the broadcast channels in our area at a time; we like to view more than 1 1/2 hours at a time so we can see later times without shifting so much; and we prefer to have a full 9x16 HD guide when we are paying for HD service.
We were told that our Motorola DVR cannot support a channel guide that shows seven channels over 2 1/2 hours in full HD format, like our Motorola set-top box does. Is this correct? What can we do about it?
Do other regions have better guides with their DVRs? Why?
If you can provide us with an effective solution, we would be appreciative. If not, then please submit this as a complaint to your closed-loop corrective and preventive action system and notify us accordingly by email.
    Thanks, Tom {edited for privacy}

So I just checked my STBs.
    I have a 7100P2 HD STB and a 7232 HD DVR.
    Both show 7X2.5 hours.
What model DVR do you have.
The 6416 does not support a HD guide and will show less channels that a 72XX series DVR.

  • Cannot update Camera raw 5.7 on PSE 7

Anyone can help me on this update process?
I purchased an PSE7 and sucessfully installed into my pc(window XP SP2), Since I am using a newer camera and tried to open raw file. and it said 'did not support this type of file", I immediately update the camera raw by clicking help>update and found 1 update shown in the window box. I clicked update and download procedure follow, after that they installed automatically and finished updating in less then a minute. I closed the PSE7 and opened it again, it still cannot open the raw file, i check the help>system info, and I still saw camera raw 4.5, that means it was not updated , so anyone can guide me this or help me out what happen? I am not very good at computer, please explain detaily so I can try step by step. Thanks

ACR 5.7 only works with PSE8+.
According to the updates page, the latest version that works with PSE7 is ACR 5.6.  And I have both PSE7 and PSE8 on my computer and can verify that PSE7 gives an error message about the ACR 5.7 being incompatible if I overwrite ACR 5.6 with ACR 5.7 in the PSE7 directory.
An issue with the originally posted version was it was missing the CameraProfiles.exe that installs all the file-based camera profiles and that the instructions referred to PSE7 for the install location even though it was talking about PSE8 in the rest of the instructions.  Both of these mistakes have been corrected, but this won't make ACR 5.7 work with PSE7.

  • Guided access in iOS 8 on iPad air not working

I got an iPad air and after updating to iOS 8, guided access, which I use several time a day to my 1-year old son.
I haven't tried to reinstall the device, but I have tried to restore to factory settings and I have tried to turn off guided access, then reboot the iPad and here comes a strange thing. Before I restarted the device, I turned off guided access as earlier mentioned but when I rebooted the device, guided access was turned on..
Well I tried to see if it had helped, I opened Safari and triple clicked the home button and happily guided access started. I then stopped voided access and tried starting it in the Synology DS Video app where I normally use guided access. I triple clicked and nothing happens.
I tried going back to Safari, triple clicked, nothing happens.
Again I tried to turn off guided access, reboot turn it on again but it was already turned off.
As for now, my son can't use the iPad until a solution the this appears.
Anyone got some kind of solution?
    Have a nice day!
    - Mark

Guided Access had worked fine for me in iOS 7 on my iPad 3 and on my iPhone 4s. However, since upgrading both devices to iOS 8 Guided Access has ceased to function for me. I have tried hard rebooting both devices (turning off Guided Access first), and it seemed to work briefly on one of the two devices -- the iPad I believe, but then the function failed once again. And now I can't get it to work at all on either device. I do hope Apple fixes this relatively soon as it is critical for the fun that my toddler grandson and I share together on these devices!

  • TV Guide fails - router problem?

When the guide failed on our main TV is the family room, I tried trouble-shooting it -- no luck.  Then I "chatted" online with Verizon's "Raul" for two hours, trying everything he asked, including swapping the box with the one in the bedroom -- Raul thought it was the biox and gave me an 800 number to call to get a swap in boxes.  However, before the weekend is over, all but one TV has the same problem.  Right now, we get the guide on one TV and no guide on four TVs.
I've worked on this all day so far today.  Verizon's In-Home Agent reports that none of the TVs have connectivity with the router.  So I've concentrated on that, I've unplugged the router and the boxes, reset the router, accessed the router's control panel to see it seems to be working well.  The only thing I can see wrong is this:  The router's "WAN Ethernet" light stays dark, though its "WAN Coax" light stays lit.  I wonder if this could be the problem; and, if so, how could I fix that?
One thing worries me about a router problem, though: Why would I still have the guide on one of the six TVs?
Anyone have a clue if I'm on the right track?
    Thanks,
    George

Yes, sounds like a router problem.
The STB has to download the program guide via the router. Each box should download 10 days worth of programing. So when the router goes out it could take as much as 10 days before the guide disappears. So the one box that still has the guide, was the last one to update and had more guide data stored than the others. It will go as well just given time.
If you have rebooted and reset the router, then the problem is either you have a bad router or possibly a bad splitter. Either way, you need to call tech support so they can get a tech out.
