HELP!! Adobe Updater won't work and can't install camera raw 4.6

I just installed Photoshop CS3 Extended onto my new MacBook Pro running Mavericks OS. My Adobe Updater says "No Internet connection. Please check your Internet settings and/or firewall. Waiting for connection..." That's the first problem. I figured out how to manually update Photoshop and Bridge, but Adobe Updater still shows this message when trying to check for updates. Also, I've tried to update Camera Raw from 4.0 to 4.6 and I can't figure out how to manually install it. I knkow the website says to do the following:
Mac:
Exit Photoshop CS3 and Adobe Bridge.
Open the Finder.
Navigate to the root of the local disk (not the user’s home folder).
Navigate to Library/Application Support/Adobe/Plug-Ins/CS3/File Formats.
Move the existing plug-in to another location (for example, a new folder on your desktop). Ensure you keep this version in case you need to revert back.
Copy the Camera Raw plug-in, Camera Raw, from the download into the same folder as in Step 4.
Launch Photoshop CS3 or Adobe Bridge.
I nativagated to Library/Application Support/Adobe, but there is no Plug-Ins folder. So, I manually entered "Library/Application Support/Adobe/Plug-Ins/CS3/File Formats" and it says this folder doesn't exist. Can anyone help me update my camera raw?! PLEASE!!

Trying to update PS CS5 to camera raw 6.7 "installation failed" .

When using the downloaded zip version 6.7 or 6.71 from the adobe site the error message is simply "installation failed". When trying to update from within Photoshop itself the message reads "Photoshop Camera Raw 6.7 Update   There was an error downloading this update. please quit and try again later. Win XP sp2. What now?

Thanks for the link Jeff. The installer said to check the log files but gave no clue where to find them. There's PS files scattered all over the computer. if I'd looked for a hundred years I would''ve never found them. There were 2: This 1st one a plain text .log tilled "Adobe Setup Error.log"-

Update of Camera Raw and CS5 programs fails

I tried to update Camera Raw for my CS5 installation (Mac) and the update fails.
The Camera Raw update software asked me to update Adobe Application Manager.
After installing this software, the Camera Raw update says (in my local language)
that the updates cannot be applied and that I should contact the system administrator
for updates, since thet have been deactivated by the administrator.
After installing Adobe Application Manager I am furthermore no longer able to
update my other CS5 products (Premier Pro, Flash). When trying to update these
products I receive a similar error message as for Camera Raw. I would also like to u
pdate Extension Manager.
Before updating Adobe Installation Manager I updated Photoshop and Illustrator,
which seemed to work ok. After installing the recent version of Adobe Application
Manager, it appears as if updates are no longer possible.
I would appreciate your help to solve these issues.

and tried to install it, which resulted in a similar error message.
The procedure I have followed for installing the updates is
by downloading dmg files from the Adobe server and
trying to install these manually.
When I open Adobe Application Manager I only see references
to products in the CS6 suite. Do you know if that could be a source
to the problems?

Update ACR to support new micro 4/3 cameras RAW

I'm using micro four thirds olypmus and panasonic cameras. I usually shoot RAW. Do I need to update my ACR module every time I buy new camera in order to be able open RAW files from new cameras?

If the camera model is newer than the ACR version then yes, otherwise, no.

I get notice of Acrobat updates but when it tries to install, it rolls back and say "Installation Failed" Error

The error # I'm getting is 1603. Anyone experience this. I have a windows 7 system.

Shut down Microsoft Office and all web browsers. Then, in Acrobat or Reader, choose Help > Check for Updates.

Photoshop Camera Raw 6.7 Update Problems

When I attempted the Photoshop update for Camera Raw 6.7, it failed and the Customer Support link provided this web page (http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/error-serial-number-qualifying-product.html) which said that there was an issue with my serial number. However, I did not get any notificaiton of the serial number issue during the attempted install, so I have no way of addressing the issue. Is there a workaround as this update patches a serious vulnerability in Photoshop.

Camera raw update failed

I just got a new Canon 6d and shot in RAW. The raw files won't preview or open in Bridge and Photoshop CS6 (I am running it on Vista). I looked into the problem and realized I needed to update Camera Raw since I was running 7.0. So I went in Bridge and did Help > Updates and updated Camera Raw as well as Bridge and Photoshop. Adobe Applications Manager said the update was successful, but when I opened Bridge up again it still is using Camera Raw 7.0 and I still can't see my files.
I tried updating Adobe Applications Manager just in case that was the problem, but that didn't solve anything. Anytime I open AAM it doesn't say there are any new updates even though Bridge is still running Camera Raw 7.0. I tired manually updating Camera Raw with what I presume is the 8.3 update in the Files Format folder with the Camera Raw.8bi file (because I know 8.4 won't work on Vista). Yet Still when I open up Photoshop or Bridge Camera Raw is still at 7.0.
I am very frustrated since I have 1200 wedding photos to churn out and have already wasted 3 hours looking into and trouble shooting different problems. I would greatly appreciate any help to solve this problem as quickly as possible because right now I am at loose ends on what to do to solve it myself.

PS/Bridge not recognizing raw files - HAVE updated DNG Converter & Camera RAW

Had to re-install my Adobe CS3 due to hard drive crash.
Now that I have re-installed, Photoshop & Bridge won’t recognize my raw files.
I HAVE updated my Adobe Camera Raw (3 times in the last hour), and my DNG Converter (4 times in the last hour). Nothing works. Any ideas?

If in photoshop cs3 you go to Photoshop>About Plug-in and click on the words Camera Raw, which version does it show?
Since photoshop cs3 can only use up to camera raw 4.6 and the EOS 5D Mark II requires at least camera raw 5.2, cs3 won't open those files directly without some help.

You could use the 8.7.1 dng converter to convert the files to dng copies which then bridge should see and photoshop cs3 should be able to open.

Camera Raw update in CS5 fails (other updates in PS, too) OSX Lion 10.8.2

I cannot update Camera Raw in PS CS5. I tried both, via the menue in PS and the patch installer (I've already deactivated the firewall) - both fails with the update. I'm running on Lion 10.8.2.

Camera Raw 7.3 Update errors

I sought to update my Bridge and Photoshop CS5 programs to Camera Raw 7.3, but continued to get an error message when downloading. I need to make this update to read some files I shot on Nikon's "NEF" raw system. The error message reads "Updates could not be applied," and, "There was an error installing this update. Please quit and try again later. Error Code: U44M1I21"
Have you had any experience with this? I'm hoping I don't have to reinstall the programs.... Aything helps, thatnks!

I spent over three hours on the phone with Adobe's technician, and the problem is unresolved.
We un-installed CS5 Photoshop and reinstalled it as a "new user." Install stopped midway to say there was an ISP problem. We chose the option “install anyway." This message was the same on the initial CS5 installation. I upgraded from CS4. Never a problem with CS4.
Turned off all antivirus and firewall software.
Could not find other Photoshop applications running while watching the Task Mgr.Processes.
We manually download the updates and also let Photoshop Updater download them.
Photoshop starts and runs fine, but will not update Camera Raw and/or Bridge.
Error message: "another version of Updater is running. Try again later."
