Updating software e71

I was updating my software as my the nokia software sugested and suddenly an error ocured, so I tried to reset the phone or hard reset but it was totally dead, for sure wasnt the battery because I had tjust charge the phone, so I took it to the "Nokia care point" I payed so they could find out whats happened, then they told me that was a software problem, so they asked if I wanted to repair it and of course Ii said yes ...
Today I called back because they never called me and now they are telling me that the phone is dead it has no repair!!!
How is possible that a NOKIA SOFTWARE screw up my new Nokia??

did they give you a report ask to exactly what was wrong?

Fail to update my E71 device software

I m trying to update my e71 software update but it is failing everytime. In ovi suite it is showing 105 mb. Once 105mb downloading complete, it continues increasing till 250mb and so on.
Still I haven`t update the software.
Even in NSU same problem is coming.
Kindly help me out over this.

What antivirus/firewall are u using?
Disconnect from pc, reboot the pc and turn off AV and FW.
If not you might need to manipulate the Antivirus/firewall.

Problem with iTunes and/or updater software??

I just bought a brand new 30gig iPod video. I followed apple's "instructions" and installed iTunes and the iPod software off of the included cd. I then connected my iPod and it charged but itunes never recognized it. Windows can find it (it appears as an external disk drive in my computer and iPod in other places) but iTunes doesn't recognize it at all. I have tried resetting the iPod, uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes/ipod software using the install cd, i have tried downloading the latest software from apples website and installing it that way, I have tried everything but restoring the ipod because the updater software won't even work. every time I try to use it, it just says "Service Error". I really have no idea what to do. The iPod seems to work fine, it turns on, turns off, windows seems to recognize it, but iTunes won't recognize the iPod and the iPod updater software doesn't seem to work at all. The last thing I am going to try is wiping my computer harddrive (it needs it for other reasons, not just this iPod problem) and starting completely fresh with nothing or very little installed besides iTunes and the iPod software.

Downloaded Update Software now Ipod is not working - Please Help

I downloaded Update Software onto Ipod and now Ipod is not working. It is stating "Itunes detected an Ipod in recovery mode. You must restore this ipod before it can be used in Itunes". Here's the deal I did that now the Ipod just blinks the circle with the line through it and says do not disconnect. Nothing happens. Has the new software corrupted my Ipod? Can anyone Help

Disabling the computer's antivirus and firewall during the download and update usually resolves the timeout error.

I can't open my iPod library in iTunes, the app doesn't show the device at all, no error message, nothing, but windows 8 opens it like it would a flash drive. It has worked for me before just fine and both have the most updated software versions.

My iPod Touch will not function with certain updated apps ie MindTools, YP.com, Mint, Ymessenger etc and I get the error message that I need to install updated software to load these apps to my iPod Touch; however, I have double checked and all the software updates have been loaded in obht the iPod touch and my computer. The iPod Touch is using 3.1.3 software and it tells me that is the current and updated software version.

You are correct in that your 1G iPod Touch has all the latest software updates. It can only be updated to version 3.1.
However that Apps you are trying to download and install likely require iOS version 4.0 or later, which is not compatible with your iPod Touch. So either you'll need to buy a newer iPod Touch or find other Apps that are suitable replacements if possible.

TS1394 Installed iLife11. Now iPhoto wont open. Says to update software. Software update says no new software available.

Seems to be a catch22 situation. After installing iLife 11 from Install DVD I tried to open iPhoto. Received message that I needed to update to the latest version. Selected Software Update from Apple Menu and received reply that no new software is available.
What do I do now?

It sounds like you are unable to open iTunes after it updated recently. I would check for 3rd party plugins that may have lost compatibility when the software was updated first:

you can disable any third-party plug-ins by opening iTunes in Safe Mode:
OS X: Hold down Option-Command.
You should see this message before iTunes starts up: "iTunes is running in Safe Mode. Visual plug-ins you have installed have been temporarily disabled."
Note: This is different than Safe Boot or Safe Mode for Mac OS X. You may need to test both at the same time to isolate all third-party interference.
Click Continue and see if any issues persist. If your issues are resolved with iTunes running in Safe Mode, check the following:
Consult the vendor of any plug-ins you installed to see if they're compatible with your version of iTunes and check for any updates that may be available.

I am having the same problem. I even changed my password and updated all of my security information. Now it just gives me an error and retry message, which of course also does not work. Went to support and was going to open a chat (seemed the simpler option) and received a message that my support has expired for this serial number unless I want to pay $29.00. So I chose the option to call later, which was the exact time suck I was trying to avoid. Why wouldn't the new operating system also update the apps that were already part of my old platform?

I updated software on my computer, now Safari won't open

I updated software this morning on my computer. Just did it automatically and didn't pay attention to what was being updated. Looks like Safari was one of the apps. Now, Safari won't open, mac Mail won't open, not even my Skype will open.
It must have something to do with the new dumb**** screwups with the switchover to "mobileme". I have OS 10.4.11.
I'm able to use Firefox.
On www.me.com I can't access my mail, but I can access my account information.

I sounds like you tried a Safari restart. I don't know what it takes to generate a new .plist. Might try log out and back in or restart computer.
Might try reapply the 10.4.11 combo updater—sometimes miraculous results.
While you wait for someone more vast than me, see below, it would be helpful to update your 'My Public Profle.'

we have 2 iphone 4's synced to the same itunes account for apps and music since the day we bought them, but each has a different icloud acct. they have both been updated on the same itunes account with every update that has come out since we bought them in december of 2010. nothing on either phone has ever been lost or duplicated. having said all that, maybe i'm missing something here, but we have had no problems. we do have itunes setup to sync manually. i do believe i'm a piker compared to lawrence finch, but i'm just telling you what happens in my house. maybe check with apple? is there a store near you?
