Updating SPAM : Warning , No Response

While Updating SPAM on my IDES SAP ECC 6.0 server , i got this error log and the update process doesn't respond at "DD IMPORT finished with returncode 4" . Here is the error log file .

Return code 4 is a warning so you should be able to proceed. Did you restart the SPAM import process (just re-run transaction SPAM and restart the import from the menu)? Having to restart the SPAM import is fairly common.

Yes your cabinet 10 on the Crediton exchange has already been installed and linked with a FTTC DSLAM cabinet (making it able to provide FTTC fibre broadband) and has been Accepting FTTC orders since December 2013. PCP10 (with it's DSLAM cabinet within 100meters of it) is locate on the junction of Commercial Road and the A3072.
However by the looks of things your are just too far away to obtain a FTTC (VDSL2) connection, meaning FTTC fibre broadband is not available to you.

Your best bet is to talk to Connecting Devon and Somerset to see if there are any further plans to get a fibre based service to your area via https://www.connectingdevonandsomerset.co.uk/contact-us/ (as your area may not be inscope of any further deployment). Best give them your full address and landline number too as they can check if you are within a NGA area.

How to update SPAM

Dear All,
Since, i was not able to find a forum for basis, i'm using this forum for my query.
I want to update SPAM inmy system.The current version is 9 and i want to update it. I have downloaded the current version sof SPAM, BUT UNFORTUNATELY I don't know how to update SPAM !. Can anyone help me out with a step by step procedure to update SPAM?

Hi Naveen,
The procedure on how to update SPAM is described in the Support Package Stack Guide (http://service.sap.com/instguidesNW04). The following procedure is extracted from this guide:
The Support Package Manager (SPAM) imports ABAP Support Packages into an ABAP system.
Before using Support Package Manager, see SAP Note 672651.
We recommend that you always use the latest version of Support Package Manager. You can get it at SAP Service Marketplace http://service.sap.com/spmanager --> Download SPAM/SAINT Update.
To import Support Packages, proceed as follows:
1. Log on to SAP Web AS with client 000.
2. Start the Support Package Manager by choosing SAP Menu --> Tools --> Maintenance --> Support Package Manager or use the transaction code SPAM.
3. Load relevant Support Packages.
4. Define a Support Package queue.
5. Import the defined Support Package queue.

UPDATE SPAM/SAINT TRANSACTION (SAPKD70023)

I am trying to Update SPAM/SAINT transaction in Client 000. The log reports finished with return code 4, but the transaction still runs and the message below is: DD IMPORT finished with retyurn code 4. But it is working, yet.

Problem updating spam/saint

Hi all,
While updating spam/saint i m getting following error.
- Error in step: CHECK_REQUIREMENTS
- Reason for error: TP_CANNOT_CONNECT_SYSTEM
- Return code: 0212
Any idea how to resolve this. This system is connected to another system in tms , the latter being domain controller. The tp versions in these 2 sys are diff. Can this be the prob..

Hi,
You didn't say what system you using ? Anyway, go into SM59 and find the RFC connections used for TMS(usually two) under ABAP connections, try do a connection test, is it successful ? ..if not check technical settings are correct.
See note 96907 for further troubleshooting.

SPAM update generally not took tooo much time , in your case please check the log in
\usr\sap\trans\log for better understanding , there you can track the changes / update / error .

With this user-exit we would like to trigger a WF to the user to carry out transaction YE22N, with the WF the user(PO creator) can execute and update the PO.

Sorry for the confusion., try to explain here.
During the updation of PO from inbound ORDSP IDoc, we have a transaction YE22N to confirm if the changes in ORDSP is accepted or not.
So we would like to automate this so that after the PO is update/saved from ORDSP IDoc, then we can trigger a workflow to send email to the PO creator.
If its still confusing then, "I would like to know if there is a user-exit or if Workflow can be triggered after updating PO" ?

Please let us know which version of oracle you are running. Assuming it
is 10, please review the following notes :
- 1028220 - ORA-01031: Insufficient privileges despite SAPCONN role
- 985607 - ORA-01031 Creating views after upgrade to Oracle 10g;
It is probable that the database user does not have required privileges.
After executing SAPCONN_ROLE.SQL, restart the SAP system. Otherwise, the
connected WP still will use the old authorizations.
After you try the above, continue the SPAM import again.

Hi,
Contract mass update Process starts when an RFx response or bid is accepted. Where items in the RFx response or bid have the same suppliers, the same currencies, and the same products as one or more existing contract, the contract(s) is (are) updated with the prices and other header/item information from the RFx response or bid. If the RFx response or bid contains new products, these can also be attached to existing contracts with the same supplier and currency (append function), or a new contract can created.
Coming to configuration part:
Define process parameters: Where you can define whether you want to update zero price quoted items to existing contracts or not (include / exclude options are available)
Set default parameters: Where we can control contract parameters for updated (either default / from RFx or BId), following SAP explanation will give you more clarity on it.
In this Customizing activity, you define which parameters are, by default, part of the contract mass update from an RFx response or a bid. To do this, select the Default Indicator.
You can select the Lock indicator to prevent the user from doing the following:
Deselecting a parameter that has been defined as a default parameter in Customizing
Selecting a parameter that has not been defined as a default parameter in Customizing

Hello everyone, I update SPAM (KD70037), the old version is KD70026, in the step current action: SPAM update import , spent about six hours, Not completed，is normal? , The system no error message. SPAM status IS RED.

Its not normal. It should not take more than 5-15 min to update SPAM.
Did you run update statistics before applying SPAM update & also plz check if missing statistics available in you system .Please check with these two points & rectify if any missing statistics are present in DB02old Tcode.
After this your SPAM update will work fine.
