Updating the Site

Hi all,
Just wondering when Adobe will be updating the Flash Lite
Exchange and the list of flash lite 2 phones on the player purchase
page?
I have sent an application a few weeks ago to be included in
the exchange but its not been updated in ages....
Anyone from Adobe able to give us an idea on when things will
be updated on the site?
Thanks
Mark

I am getting this too and since the message sounded odd and I wondered WHY they would do this on a Friday afternoon, I checked using another PC, and guess what - one PC has that message and the other one doesn't. I therefore suspect some malware is actually redirecting us to another page entirely. I do not think this is an Itunes problem at all. I was able to download and install witht he other PC jsut fine. I'll check back here - please post if you get any mroe info and I will too.

  • DW 8 Crashing on updating the site cache

This is a site that I've been working on, on and off, for a
year or more and suddenly in the past week or so DW has been
hanging whenever I try and load this site. It seems to do it when
updating the site cache. It doesn't crash exactly, but will hang on
the splash screen, and won't advance beyond that point. I've
reinstalled DW, removed all extensions, deleted the Configuration
folder, but it keeps coming back. I've discovered that if I copy
all the files in that folder somewhere else, load the site, and
then copy them all back, it will load; but obviously this isn't a
    workable solution. I don't know WHICH file is causing it to hang;
I've tried removing only the file that it seems to hang on, but
then it hangs on a different one (and so on).
Any suggestions on how to resolve this?

  • Getting "Stop updating the site?" message after DWT change

Made a change to a template and as expected got a message asking if I want to update all pages with the template.  Repond "yes" and get the Update Pages status window with the buttons "stop", "close" and "help".  "Help" does nothing, "stop" stops the update and "close" displays the message "Stop updating the site?" (yes/no)
If I hit no DW goes back to the previous message (update pages).  If yes, it appears that not all pages that use the template are updated.

    Beth
Thanks.  What appears to have happened was the update was taking much longer than I had ever seen in the past.
I ran it again (made a small change in the template) and waited a bit.  It then displayed "done".  All the pages seemed to be updated.
Not sure why it's running longer but I'll be patient in the future.

To answer the post title FireFox save all downloads automatically in the download folder, which you can find in the Documents folder. If you want to choose where to save your downloads go to tools>options>check always ask me where to save files.
Secondly, I am assuming you have IE 8 installed as this is the only version that supports this fix that is currently not in beta. Go to control panel>internet options>advanced tab and reset the settings at the bottom. This may or may not fix the problem but it is a good first step.

  • "busy updating the site" message: something wrong with comp. or real update

    Hello
I bought a nano yesterday and I never had iTunes before...yesterday night i wanted to download iTunes and there was a message: "We are busy updating the site, please check back in an hour or so...." at http://www.apple.com/ca/itunes/download/ and at http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
The message is still there. Is it just me or is there anything wrong with my computer? I went to the Apple software update program and am downloading iTunes version 7.4.3. Is that alright? will I be able to use it? Or should I wait for apple to finish updating their site (assuming my computer is fine)?

I am getting this too and since the message sounded odd and I wondered WHY they would do this on a Friday afternoon, I checked using another PC, and guess what - one PC has that message and the other one doesn't. • Once I publish my site with a web hosting site can I still edit and update the site in Muse?  Can I add and delete pages to the site?

Very confused about publishing the Muse site.  It sound like I won't be able to edit a lot of it once it is published.  I need to be able to add and delete pages and edit the content on existing pages over time.  It is saying that the temporary version of the site will delete after 30 days.  Am I misunderstanding?

It sounds like you didn't upload the css files folder that Muse generates. There is also scripts file, assets file/images file that Muse generates

  • Updated a page and now the "Publish Site" stays gray and can't update the site. What's up?

Updated my iWeb page and now it won't publish. "Publish Site" stays gray. What to do now? I'm not using Mobil Me. FTP published. Workd before. Haven't a clue now.

Try making a minor change to that same page, like moving an object a couple of pixels one way or the other, and see if the File ➙ Publish Site Changes menu option will work for you.

  • Update the sites from two computers

    hi,
i created my sites from a mac in my office. now i want to update it from home, or - if that is not possible - get it completely on my computer at home. how can i do it??

This is asked so often it really should be included in an FAQ. The secret is on your office Mac at Users/yourUserName/Library/Application Support/iWeb. There you'll find Domain.sites (extension hidden by default). Make a copy and move it to the same location on your home machine. When you launch iWeb you'll see everything you created in the office.

  • When I update my site, do all the assests have to upload again?

I have created a website that includes music. However, if I update the site, is there a way to update just the revisions so that the previous content does not have to be reloaded? I find it takes so long each time I re-publish, so I assume that everything (all music and pictures) are being loaded all over again. I thought there might be someplace that all the music and pictures could be saved in a central location rather than having to spend so much time each time I make changes.

iWeb 09 only updates the changed content.
So if you do not change your music but just some text on the page or move the position of the music file on the page, only the page will be uploaded.
But if you re-publish then the whole site is uploaded.
If that does not fit your situation, then you can store your music separately on the server and create links to the files.
Either by pasting the <object> code in a HTML Snippet or a link to a page with your tune and then use the <iframe> in the HTML Snippet.
Both options are independent of iWeb.
Here you can see samples with code you can use :

  • EBS Supplier best practice to update vendor site code, update or create a new one

I have a question related to EBS Supplier vendor site code. Application lets you update the vendor site code, but what is the best practice to update the site code?....would you inactivate the exiting one and create a new one? or would you just update the existing value?

    Ok,
My workaround was to put in my TaskFlow an action to commit. After that I put two more actions (execute) and then back to my page. This way works but I would like to know if there is any more efficient way to do this just when I am inserting.

  • How can I efficiently update my site?

I work for a small, regional print magazine that operates a Dreamweaver-managed web site.  The web developer left the company, and I need to update the site with recent articles.  The site format is very simple—there is no syndication, nor any type of linked feed (I think).  I’d like to learn, as quickly as I can, to update the articles myself.
I’ve copied the site from the server, so I have local files to examine and manipulate.  I envisioned simply dropping the new articles in the appropriate location on the server, but I find that they are referred to by script text such as, http://[site address]/Class.asp?ID=137 .  I think I’ve identified the files containing the text of the articles (in the site root location's \Data folder).  Adding articles seems it should be very basic, but I’m not sure where to start learning.  I don’t mind taking an 80-hour Dreamweaver course, but meanwhile I’d like to quickly start by understanding the structure of the site, and bringing the articles up to date.
How can I most efficiently learn what I need to know?  Thanks in advance for any advice.

I don’t mind taking an 80-hour Dreamweaver course
You'd do much better to take a course in HTML and CSS, than one in DW.  The more you know about the former, the faster and easier your learning curve for the latter will be.
Given your link, the site is definitely using server-scripting methods to load the desired information on the page.  Whether that information is saved in a database, or simply read from a flat file is yet to be determined.  If you have found a file containing the text of the articles, then you may have a flat-file arrangement.  The way to know for sure what you need to do is to have someone familiar with ASP/VBScript look at the pages and determine how they get at that information.
Is there any way for you to contact the ex-employee?
Failing that, you could post some of your code here for examination.  A link to the site won't help much since that will only allow us to get at the HTML, not the server scripting (which gets stripped from the page after execution by the server and before uploading to your browser).

  • Reg:: Determing the Site Title Change date

    Hi Techys,
I have created a SharePoint 2013 team site on 07-july-2014, and according to the customer requirement I have granted the permissions for some users. But, today(05-Aug-2014) I have recognized someone has changed the site tile. Now, I would like to know
who was changed the site title and when it was happen.
This is a huge escalation from my customer, could you plz help me....
    Many Thanks,
    Madhu

If you have enabled audit log then you can view the reports, if you haven't enabled it then you can not get the details that who has updated the site title. You can view audit log reports from top level site settings --> Site Collection Administration
    --> Audit Log Reports.
If it is not enabled then you have enable it for getting audit reports (for future use). Check below link for reference.

  • I've tried to update my i-Tunes version after the site suggested I should following my i-Pad being plugged into it for the first time. The update seemed successful but the program would not open at all despite switching off the PC and re-starting several

I’ve tried to update my i-Tunes version after the site suggested I should following my i-Pad Air being plugged into it for the first time. The update seemed successful but the program would not open at all despite switching off the PC and re-starting several times. I then tried wiping the original software from the computer and re-downloading from scratch. Each time I tried the download failed with a message saying “Service “Apple Mobile Device” failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services” At this stage, the only way forward was to “abort” the download. This I have done now four times and the same thing happens. When I did finally manage to get an i-Tunes shortcut on my desktop, the program wouldn’t open saying: “i-Tunes was not installed correctly. Please re-install i-Tunes. Error 7 (Windows error 193)” Any ideas to resolve this?

  • How can I update the 'Top Sites' display on Safari on my MacBook Pro?

Ok, so, up until fairly recently (around 2 weeks) when I opened Safari my topsites would be displayed as nine 'thumbnails'. And they used to show the current site, so if I had CNN, it would show the top stories of the day, yet now it has stopped and hasn't updated for weeks, so is showing old news, until I click it. Also, for NBA.com, it shows an old picture, until I click and open the site. I know this is a very trivial thing, yet it's annoying. So basically, how can I add a new tab and see the Top Sites' thumbnails updated? Thanks in advance.

    Hi.
now it has stopped and hasn't updated for weeks,
The TopSites.plist file may be corrupted. There's an easy fix.
    Quit Safari.
Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type this exactly as you see it here:
    ~/Library/Safari
    Click Go
Move the TopSites.plist file from the Safari folder to the Trash.
Relaunch Safari. See if that made a difference.
