Updating to 6.1.3 causes Sync issue

After updating to 6.1.3 now the sync starts and then generates a warning that the connection has been lost, even though it is plugged in via USB. Same goes for wireless sync, same error.
Also noticed, that when I first connected it thought I only had 6GB free, 2nd re-connection was 15GB free, 3rd connection was accurate and back to 27.41GB free. However when trying to sync it will jump to an error message of, "Over capacity by 351.1Mb", then the lost connection error message appears.
Finally managed to get it to sync of a 4th USB re-connection, so this upgraded version is really buggy for one of my iPads (version 3).
Is this a known bug?

New Apple ID email has caused sync issues between iPad and iPhone

I changed the email of my Apple ID and made sure to save photos and delete old iCloud backups. The calendar noon get syncs but instead eats any new events. Photos from my iPad appear on my iphone but it doesn't work the other way around. Instead my iPad still has an iCloud photo album from my previous Apple ID email. I've made sure that my email is updated on both devices and that everything syncs to iCloud and has been recently backed up. I even deleted the new backups and did it again. I turned off photo steam and turned it back on. Any help would be greatly appreciated. One more detail, even in iTunes, I do not have photo albums being synced from my computer. I just have photo stream with iCloud.

I'm not sure what caused the issues but backing everything up and restoring both devices has fixed photo stream as well as notes/calendar icloud issues. It even syncs to my computer again! The icloud photo album from the old apple id email is also gone.

Wondering what the offical word is on the Palm OS 5.2.1 sync issue? Is there an ETA for the upgraded conduit?

Import of mp3 file suddenly causing sync issue with existing files. CC 2014

Hi all,
I imported an mp3 audio file and dropped it into my comp which contained other Video (422 ProRes) files that contained audio. When I RAM Previewed the audio for the entire comp slowed down and fell out of sync. I can't seem to find any way to correct this. I have tried both Comp Settings and Interpret Footage but I can't seem to find a fix. Anyone know of (or have experienced) this issue and know of a fix? P.S. I know mp3 files are not optimal for use, but I used it anyway, and have in the past without issue.

After rendering out two sequences that had the audio sync/slowing issue, it appears that this is an issue with RAM preview. The renders' audio are in sync and play at the correct speed. The issue of the RAM preview remains. It seems like a bug at this point. I updated to latest (13.2) version of AE CC 2014, reopened project, RAM previewed the comp and the audio was playing correctly. I RAM previewed again immediately again, and after a spinning beach ball, it plays back out of sync and slow again.

Exiting out of X causes sync issues.

I've just installed Arch onto my laptop and after a couple of hours I realised I couldn't get X to run because xf86-input-mouse and xf86-input-keyboard weren't installed when I installed the xorg suite, I found that odd...
Anyways, X runs fine but when I exit back to the command line the screen is flickering, probably due to hsync and vsync issues; and I have to reboot to fix it. I have a Dell XPS M1210 and I'm running the nvidia driver.

I certainly understand why those issues would be annoying. I searched our resources and I have not heard of either of these issues as known issues after the update. It sounds like you are having an issue with the back arrow itself. To take a screenshot, you would press and hold the back arrow, then press the power button. So the phone thinks you are pressing the back arrow, and that's what causes the phone to take a screenshot. When your phone exits out of applications, do you get an error or does it just go back to the main screen? Do you have any installed task killers that are set to auto kill apps? If so, I would suggest removing.
I would recommend doing a factory reset for this issue. A factory reset will erase all data on your device and set it to factory default settings. It will not erase anything on your memory card. You will need your Gmail address and password to setup your device again. I would also suggest creating a backup of your contacts just in case they are not all in Gmail or backup assistant. You can save them to your memory card by going to Contacts>Press the Menu button>Import/Export>Export to SD card. You complete the master reset by going to Settings>Privacy>Factory Data Reset>Reset Phone.

Kernel update (3.9.5-1) causes graphics issues, X11 "no screens found"

Earlier I updated my system with pacman -Syu. Everything went smoothly. I rebooted and immediately noticed something was wrong with the console framebuffer - printing and scrolling are very, very slow and jerky, an error flashed by after fsck too quickly to read (since disappeared), and startx gave me the "no screens found" error. I do not have any custom X11 configuration.
This is an MSi laptop with the (awful) nVidia Optimus (hardware mux).
IGP is an Intel Ivybridge Mobile (GT2), don't know the exact chipset model, X logs indicate it's the i965.
DGP is an NVIDIA GK104M (GeForce GTX 675MX).
(New) Kernel: 3.9.5-1-ARCH #1 SMP PREEMPT ... x86_64
(Old) Kernel: 3.9.4-1 ...
I should mention that I use the acpi_call package to shut the DGP down, the command runs automatically at boot (but does not work! An AE_CALL error message is given, I have to run the turn_off_gpu.sh script manually after login). Nouveau is still being loaded into the kernel, regardless. I have tried removing the .conf file used by acpi_call from /etc/modules-load.d/, there was no effect. I also tried downgrading from the latest xf86-intel driver package, again, no effect - under either kernel. Additionally I tried using nomodeset and i915.modeset = 1 kernel parameters (which were necessary with a previous kernel version or Arch was unbootable, but not with 3.9.4-1). No effect. Each change was followed by a reboot, just to be sure. Systemd is loading everything normally except that it complains of no display-manager service ... because there isn't one.
It may be trying to use the DGP, for which there are no drivers installed, as I have no desire to use that card with Linux, ever; I've no idea why/how a kernel update would change this, as I mentioned I have nothing fancy going on with kernel 3.9.4-1 and the graphics setup and X11 work just fine out of the box.

No, the i915.modeset parameter was necessary with an older kernel.
I've now also tried kernel 3.9.6-1 and nvidia drivers, with AND without an xorg 10-monitor.conf file. Running kernel 3.9.6-1 seems to fix the console framebuffer issue, but the "no screens found" issue remains, xserver logs complain of not being to find intel module when using nvidia drivers (which require removal of intel drivers), and both sudo and netctl are broken - logs list pam-unix "conversation failed" error and time-out/failed dependency waiting for wplXXX - the wireless NIC - to start.
Just to see, I tried the nvidia drivers with kernel 3.9.4-1 and got the "no screens found" error.
Because I couldn't access the internet under kernel 3.9.6-1, I didn't get to test it with nouveau but I can't see how that would be any different - it has no Optimus support, anyway.
One more probably unrelated thing: all indicator LEDs (except power button) and touch-button LEDs no longer light up, under 3.9.4-1 with no changes to packages in a few days.
I'm stumped.

Updated to 10.4.10 - cause display issue?

I just updated to 10.4.10 and now my text is blurry on my monitor.
I have a 20' cinema display and this happened as soon as I restarted. Both the monitor and G5 were purchased 3+ years ago.
I'm not nuts - I work on the box 8 hours a day - it's my personal computer I make my living from.
Could the update have made the graphics card screw up? I really don't know too much about the technical side of things. Looking for suggestions.

You will need to reinstall from the disks that came with your computer, and then install the 10.4.9 update. No, you cannot revert.
Yopu might try reinstalling 10.4.10, with a Combo version, first.

Compressions causes syncing issues

My exported MOV is fine and synced
when i compress to DVD Best through compressore
the audio becomes strangely out of sync but what seems to be about 5 frames
does that make sense at all?

Thanks for the question. I may be able to save you the headache of re-configuring your device without iTunes Match. When I travel outside of the country, I simply turn off “Use Cellular Data” in Settings > iTunes & App Stores. This, along with turning off Cellular Data and Data Roaming should help you accomplish your end goal of ceasing cellular use while out of the country. Any music that you downloaded from iTunes Match prior to leaving the country will still be available for “offline” listening.
By default, when you add an iOS device to iTunes Match, the option to download over a cellular network isn't enabled. To enable downloading over a cellular network for iTunes Match, choose Settings > iTunes & App Stores > Use Cellular Data > On.

Will Apple offer another update SOON that will FIX the syncing issues?
I have tried EVERYTHING: backups, restarting phone, uninstalling/reinstalling iTunes, etc. . NOTHING WORKS
I look forward to having my phone sync to my computer so I can save all my information on my external hard drive.
This issue has been occurring ever since I downloaded and updated the iOS 6.14 software.
Everyone is having this same issue, if anyone knows a way to "fix" it please let me know, if not. . . APPLE I need you to begin working on a solution. Thanks!

IPhoto 9.4.1 does not solve all sync issues

The 9.4.1 update does not solve all the sync issues.
It may have fixed the duplicate Events that you can see in iTunes when syncing to an iDevice, but it has not resolved the duplicate Faces.
I still have many duplicate Faces showing, even though in iPhoto the Faces are only there once.......

Try the following:
1 - open the library package with the Finder as follows:
2 - Find the AlbumData.xml file and move it to the Desktop.
3 - close the package and launch iPhoto.
See if the above will get rid of the bogus events.

Sync issues after iOS 8 update

Hi,
I have an iPhone 5S, 64 GB. After updating to iOS8 I got sync issues. "Waiting for changes to be applied" never disappeared. Also the storage usage in iTunes 11.4 is wrong. iTunes said I had 6GB free, when I had in fact 20GB. I restored the phone back to firmware, restored the backup. All was fine until I made setting changes in iTunes what I want to sync. The same issue in iTunes is back again. I already deleted my voice memos as someone recommended in another threat but that didn't help.
Any ideas how I can solve the problem, would be appreciated. Thank you!

10.6.5 update causing network issues

Variations of this have already been posted but when I described my particular issues to Apple support the advice was roll back to 10.6.4!
I have 3 Macs, and this only appears to be affecting my MBP 13". Updating to 10.6.5 causes:
- ethernet to stop working; it shows as connected and shows correct IP but there is no acccess to web, offsite ping, or email. Reboots very occasionally get it to work but when changing any aspect of network config (eg switching on wireless or changing location) it fails again. Booting with ethernet cable plugged in usually results in the spinning beachball.
- wireless works reasonably, but any change to config causes loss of network as described above. VPN under wireless becomes very temperamental
- when the network fails, finder also crashes and restarting it only gets it going for less than a minute before it crashes out again.
- waking from sleep also appears to cause the network problems
I can replicate the problems easily; works fine up to 10.6.4 but as soon as a later upgrade is applied then it fails. To clear the problem I only have to reinstall the OS over the existing installation, I don't have to do a clean install. The problems occur on both my home network and my work network
I'm afraid that I can't get any logs from the failure because that would mean me breaking it and having to reinstall. I'm currently waiting for the next upgrade but wonder if anyone else has seen this - any thoughts/pointers welcome!

I have the exact same problem on two of my imacs, both have the 10.6.5 update and have been having networking problems since November of last year. I have pinged both IP addresses successfully so they are active.I have also tweaked the proxy settings for our network, trying all combinations, to no avail.
I have at least succeeded in getting one of the macs to connect to email and Safari but the connection in Safari times out after about 10 minutes and then hangs and you have to force quit. Thereafter only a reboot will restore Safari.
The second imac is in a worse state, in that it does not connect up at all even though the network is active and IP has been successfully pinged.

Sync issues after update

I "unfortunatley" updated to itouch version 3.1.3. I am on iTunes vers. 9.0.3
After the update my iTunes library will not sync. All other apps, email etc are just fine.
After a very long sync session I get
"attempting to copy to disc "itouch" failed. Unknown error occured (-69)
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

That one can be a content file issue. In the course of your troubleshooting to date have you checked through the following document?

Can you help me fix an Ovi Suite sync issue?
the Ovi suite will only sync when I select the time range as 3 weeks into the past (or less)
if I select 4 weeks into the past (or more) the Ovi suite crashes about 10 seconds into the sync

I've tried all the obvious: uninstall / reinstall / reboot, updated to the latest version on softtware on both the phone and my PC.
I've uninstalled my previous Nokia PC Suite
I'm at a loss at to what else to try to get this working?

Could you please try this?
1. Please, check on Task Manager (press ctrl+shift+esc) if you see NokiaOviSuite.exe process twice on the process list? If yes, kill all the instances of NokiaOviSuite.exe, nokiaaserver.exe and NokiaMServer.exe. If not, a reboot should fix the issue.

2.Choose from Sync menu “Repair sync”. This operation may create duplicate entries in case the sync engine is not able match the records from different end points with each other. Also, all the deleted items which have not been removed from the other end points will be restored to the end point where the item was deleted.
