Updating/upgrading eMac that hasn't been kept updated
Let me start by saying I purchased this Mac 5-6 years ago. About two years ago the display started getting fuzzy kind of like your eyes are out of focus. Service man came out to fix it under warranty, couldn't fix it so they refunded my money. I bought it with the intentions of really learning about the Mac platforms but needless to say I haven't been very dilligent or sucessful at that.
Cutting to the chase my daughter who is 12 now had the mac and nothing has really ever been updated. It runs OS 9.?.? and OS X 10.?.? I want to move the computer to my youngest chlids room so they can see Disney stuff etc. on the internet but I cant upgrade to flash player 8 or higher which is what these sights require. The Internet explorer 5.1 (needs updating) keeps crashing.
Everything needs updating but I don't think I want to spend the money to update to OS X tiger just so my 4 and 5 year old can have usefule machine. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

If the eMac's CRT is irreparably fuzzy and out of focus, you really shouldn't let young children use it at all. Attempting to focus on such images can adversely affect development of the eye muscles.
You could use it with the built-in display masked off and using a US$20 miniVGA adapter to attach a standard VGA monitor. If you don't happen to have an old-but-serviceable VGA monitor lying around, ask around and call local businesses --- most people with old VGA CRTs stashed in a closet would be only to happy to give it away for free rather than having to haul it to a recycling center.
If your eMac has at least OS X 10.2 on it, you can download the OS X Update Combo 10.2.8. If the eMac has OS X 10.1.4, you can go through the Apple Downloads to upgrade to 10.1.5 but there are no current browsers I'm aware of that support 10.1.x
There area number of browsers that are still updated and will run under OS X 10.2, such as Firefox.

Example:
- BP credit limit = 100
- Create New Sales order with amount 90, doesnu2019t need trigger approval procedure, because the amount is still under limit
- Update the SO amount to be 110, approval procedure should be triggered
But in SBO, approval procedure is not triggered for update transaction even for SO has not yet been approved, is it a bug? Will it be improved in SBO 8.8?
Is there any other way to trigger approval procedure in update mode? May be through store procedure or add on?

I understand the concept for approval will not be triggered anymore for approved SO, because once a transaction has been approved, user will not be allowed to make any changes that related with the approval. And SBO has been made restriction for that. It is good
But, It doesn't make sense, for SO that even the approval has not been yet executed. And SBO still allow user to make any changes such as quantity and total amount. And SBO do not trigger the approval if the modification meet approval condition
If SBO was designed not trigger approval in update mode to avoid endless loop as what you said, why SBO still allow user to make any changes in unapproved SO ? it makes user can avoid the approval
Don't you think this is a bug ?

I have a new computer and a old iphone 4 that hasn't been updated in a long time. I logged into itunes on my new computer and plugged in my phone and there is no option to sync. ;( suggestions?
The ipod is not a backup device. The music sync is one way - computer to ipod. the exception is itunes purchases. Without syncing: File>Transfer Purchases
Copy everything from your old computer, or your backup copy of your old comptuer, to your new one. -

Because you must purchase major upgrades. I advise skipping Leopard and going directly to Snow Leopard:
Upgrade Paths to Snow Leopard, Lion, and/or Mountain Lion
You can upgrade to Mountain Lion from Lion or directly from Snow Leopard. Mountain Lion can be downloaded from the Mac App Store for $19.99. To access the App Store you must have Snow Leopard 10.6.6 or later installed.
Upgrading to Snow Leopard
You can purchase Snow Leopard through the Apple Store: Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard — Apple Store (U.S.). The price is $19.99 plus tax. You will be sent physical media by mail after placing your order.
After you install Snow Leopard you will have to download and install the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1 to update Snow Leopard to 10.6.8 and give you access to the App Store. Access to the App Store enables you to download Mountain Lion if your computer meets the requirements.

Upgrading to Lion

It's a download. You will get an email containing a redemption code that you then use at the Mac App Store to download Lion. Save a copy of that installer to your Downloads folder because the installer deletes itself at the end of the installation.

I have an ipod touch that hasn't been used in a while. We want to use it now, but the screen says "ipod disabled. connect to itunes". When I connect to itunes it tells me to enter my passcode, however the ipod will not allow me to do anything (and I don't know the code anyway). I tried to put it in recovery mode as someone suggested by holding the home button while plugging the ipod up from the computer, but I never did get the "connect to itunes" symbol, I continually got the same screen saying "ipod disabled connect to itunes". Help!
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

The password will not be sent to you, because Apple does not know it. They will send a link where you can reset the password. Has anybody successfully logged an online support request for an itunes card that hasn't been activated properly? I tried the camera to read it but still no good. Get the error about it not being activated properly so i tried to log an online support ticket twice on two seperate days but get another error saying sorry we can't process this request now try later. Very frustrated, my son has a $20 voucher from Christmas he can' t use.

It also says view updates, so select that option and see what it wants to update.

When I try to download a library book on my Kobo reader, I keep getting this message. First it tells me to change the computer's authorization to be associated with an Adobe ID. When I click on authorize after logging in, the message keeps telling my "you can only authorize this computer with an Adobe ID that hasn't been previously used to authorize any other computer or mobile device. I have no idea what this means. Help!
Sometimes ADE gets its registration/activation confused and in a semi-authorized state.
Uninstalling and reinstalling does not help, and indeed installation can even trigger this state.
Unfortunately, it often then gives misleading error messages about what is wrong.
A common incorrect message informs you that the ID is already in use on another computer and cannot be reused.
Another is "E_AUTH_NOT_READY"
This can often be resolved by completely removing any authorization using ctrl-shift-D to the Library screen on ADE (cmd-shift-D if on Mac).
Restart ADE, and then reauthorize with your (old) Adobe ID.
In extreme cases on the mac, the following extra step has helped some people. Navigate to /Users//Library/Application Support/Adobe/Digital Editions and drag the activation.dat file to the trash. there is no link with OBTD to OJDT and JDT1.
voucher number in obdt is different,
after posting voucher is saved as journal entry seperate
number is generated.
you can link OACT,OCRD WITH OJDT,JDT1.

im trying to restore my iphone and itunes doesnt allow it to restore without updating. problem is that i have the latest update on my iphone so why is it forcing me to wait for a 7hr update download when i already have the update and only need to restore?
Sadly, the iPhone 3G can not be upgraded beyond iOS 4.2.1.
