Updating viewer app to include entitlement

We currently have a multi issue app working nicely in the app store. The learning curve being we were prepared to give away some content while we fine tune the how we work and how DPS works. We have a large subscription base and are in the motions of incorporating an entitlement call to allow current subscribers free access leaving the old freebie isses available for free. I am in the viewer builder and am trying to update our app for new tool sets, bookmarks etc with the main aim to incorporate access and entitlement.
The problem is when I try and start a new update to the current version I assume I should be changing the viewer type from the current "multi-issue" to "multi-issue with entitlement and access and entitlement" but this option is greyed out unless I start a brand new build.
This is not something want to do as we have shared the iTunes URL and the current issues (about 12) will need to be re-uploaded again. (of which I dont have all the files)
SO......how do I update my current multi viewer app. to one that includes entitlement?

You can't use Edit to change the viewer type. You need to use New and create a new viewer (then delete the old instance to keep things tidy). When you do this, you don't create a different app. If you use the same credentials when you build the viewer, it will act as an update to the existing app.

Why not simply remove yoru payment info by selecting None at top?

Considering Adobe dont (sic) even make Flash Player for iPads, this seems about right. How can you download something that does not exist?

Download error message - I can't view apps or updates.

After a failed attempt to update photoshop the apps panel in my creative cloud window says download error and won't refresh. \
I can't view apps or updates. I quit Creative Cloud and reinstalled but it still displays the same message.

Sounds like the credit card you have on file is probably invalid/expired. You'd need to correct that or set the payment method to None.

Folio producer tools update required to use folio builder but content viewer app not available

Hi,
I have a problem with DPS Folio Producer tools.
We are unable to use Folio Builder to update our iPad presentation to the cloud because we keep getting this message: An update is required to use Folio Builder. Please click here to download Folio Producer Tools.
We have previously done this only to discover that the new version of Folio Producer Tools is incompatible with the Content Viewer and the new Content Viewer app is not yet approved, or available from Apple.
So we have done a rollback to a previous version of the Folio Producer Tools which worked for a few hours, but is now prompting for the update again - but as explained above we cannot download the update until the Content Viewer app is available.
HELPPPPPPP!!!

When a company thinks first about monetizing solutions instead of making it an extra option.
You are not free anymore to use the tools you want, you must follow Adobe's decisions to update online apps.
Online apps are everything but good.
You will have to wait until the Viewer gets approved by Apple.

Need Adobe Content Viewer app update

I am trying to view my publication on the Adobe Content Viewer on my iPad through
1) syncing though creative cloud
I then get this message. However when I go to the App Store, it says all my apps are to date.
I deleted the Adobe Content Viewer app from my iPad and reinstalled it. I still get the same message.
2) previewing through Folio Builder
Can someone tell me how I can update my Adobe Content Viewer when the App store says there are no updates available???
There is nothing wrong with my App store app. I have already updated other apps in the mean time with no problem.

You'll have to wait for Apple to approve the new viewer.
In the mean time you should create folios as version 24.

I have a new email address which I have had verified, but when I try to update an app it asks for my password with the old email address and always comes back telling me it is an incorrect password.

It was created originally with pre v20 tools. In both the ACV and a published app this folio showed that "Please update your app..." message when trying to download/view the updated version of the folio. When I got the first update message I was viewing the folio, then I affirmed that I wanted to download the update so it took me to the library view. After trying to initiate the download/update it shows the "please update" error message. I tapped "OK" and then it let me download and view the updated folio. Basically it's showing an error message that doesn't apply. We know it isn't a v23 folio trying to be viewed by a v22 app because my folio version is not even v20, and also because it still lets me download/view the update after it gives the warning. When I've made the mistake of trying to view a newer folio with an older viewer in the past it doesn't let me download/view the new folio, it just gives the error message. Apparently, something went way wrong SOMEWHERE, SOMEHOW... and now I'm afraid of losing ALL MY MEDIA considering I have NO ITUNES ON MY LAPTOP! I followed all appropriate steps found in trouble shooting, when I reinstalled iTunes though, the reinstalled music on my pc was a handful of songs that were triplicates, even listed some five TIMES! And maybe a total of 20-25 different songs, a fraction of what I had initially!

1, you can't at the moment, though with iOS 5 in the Autumn, from http://www.apple.com/ios/ios5/features.html#photos :
Even organize your photos in albums — right on your device
2, by removing it from you synced from and re-syncing. Only photos taken with the iPad, copied to it via the camera connection kit, or saved from emails/websites etc can be deleted directly on the iPad (either via the trashcan icon in the top right corner if viewing the photo in full screen, or via the icon of the box with the arrow coming out of it in thumbnail view)
3, the location of the photos that you synced to the iPad should be listed on the iPad's Photos tab when connected to your computer's iTunes.
4, you can copy the photos from your iPad to your computer : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083 . You should also be able to delete them from the iPad as part of the transfer process to your computer, and it's then your choice whether to add them to your sync photo list so as to copy them back to the iPad. Copying them to your computer would allow you to organise them into folders and therefore be able to sync them back into separate albums.
5, I don't use Dropbox either. There are some third-party browser apps in the iTunes App Store that allow you to download pages so that you can view them when offline e.g. Atomic Web (the whole page is saved within Atomic Web, it doesn't place a photo into the Photos app)
6, deleting content should help. If you remove an app from your iPad then you also remove the content that it's got on the iPad - so if you then decide to reinstall it back onto the iPad then you will need to manually add back any content that you want in it. None of the Apple built-in apps (including Photos) can be removed from the iPad

Cannot update blackberry app world. It shows some weird error.

Here is the story. I was using os7 and and 2 days back I upgraded it to 7.1. As usual after upgrading the os, I updated pre installed apps. Like Facebook and bbm and did a re start. After re staring I found that there is no Facebook and bbm icon. I went to app world and searched for it. At the bbm screen there was no button, no re install, delete or anything. On facebook page there was a re install button through which I re installed it and again did a re boot. But again the same thing. So I though of re installing the firmware. I wiped the device via bbsak and installed the firmware via loader.exe (later I also tried with blackberry desktop manager). Now after upgrading when I went to update my app world, it re directed me to browser where I clicked download and then an error came up. I have attached a pic. Now I am unable to upgrade my blackberry app world. I tried several things like removing app world and again trying to Download it from browser, re installing firmware, downgrading and then again upgrading to 7.1 but all in vain. Please help, as I don't have any clue what's wrong and what to do. 
P. S: It's my first blackberry, and I bought it unlocked 5 days back. And I don't use BIS. I tried downloading app world via WiFi and via mobile data. 
 
Here is the error shown 
 
Error: Invalid manifest or application descriptor. 
 
The "MIDlet-Name" attribute is missing

Please try this sequence:
1) Remove both AppWorld AND the Identity App from your BB
KB10040 How to view or remove installed applications on a BlackBerry smartphone
If it requests that you reboot the BB, do so
2) Do a Batt-Pull reboot (power on, remove battery, wait, insert battery, wait), even if redundant to the one you did in step 1.
3) Install (on your BB) a fresh copy of AppWorld (during which a fresh version of the Identity App should also install)

Again, if it requests to reboot, do so.
4) Do another Batt-Pull reboot
5) See if it now works.

Cannot update purchased apps.

I recently change credit card detail in my apple ID since the old one stolen. Now, I cannot update purchased apps the one I bought with my old credit card. Please tell me how to resolve this problem.

Are you trying to access ITunes or the App Store? You can also try to change it through iTunes.
1. Go to iTunes
2. Click on the ITunes Store on the left hand side.
3. Log in if it wants you to.
4. If you look at the top of the iTunes window you will see your apple ID. Click on it.
5. Login again. This will let you access your account.
6. Click on View My Account.
7. You can see all of your info now, including your payment options.
See if you can edit it this way.
If you can't get with those three options, try calling Apple. Those are the only ways that you can yourself, but if you call I bet they can resolve it relatively fast.

Help on DPS viewer app

Hi all, I'm completely new to the DPS world and publishing world in general. I'm a french iOS developer.
I need some help for a magazine publisher client.
First of all, my client wants an app on the iOS newstand and the Android Google play which is able to get the content of it's inDesign folios and display this content as rich content (meaning videos, sliders, nice looking navigation ...)
Second he wants to manage his already paper issue clients. Meaning that he wants to allow his clients who already paid for a subscription outside the app (paper subscription) to be able to re-download content inside the app freely.
And finally he wants the app to connect to several RSS feeds and display some news about the company and their job offers inside the app.
So my question is pretty simple : is there a way we could include all of these features inside one adobe viewer app ? Or should we build our own app for both platforms (iOS/Android)? And if we do develop our own app (without using the viewer builder) is it possible to publish content to it via DPS ? and How ?

for your requirements you would need a enterpise license, for all the features you would like to implement into the app, like custom storefront/library, itunes subscription, google play store and entitlement. additionaly you need an entitlement server which connects to
the already existing print subscriber database to provide the issues for free to thouse customers.

As a trigger is executed in the db and not in your app it's really hard to help as you did not give any useful information.
