Whats wrong with updatingsystem. I tried to update my CS6, its stucked in 70%, PS Camera Raw 8.3...
You need to add a criterion to it that changes. I'd suggest "Last played is not in the last XX days". You can adjust the number of days depending on how much you listen to your music. However, then you run into a problem. I'm assuming that you have it set to "Match any". So, what you need to do is set up a second playlist with the criteria "Playlist is <first playlist> and "Last Played is not in the last xx days". Make sure you select Match All.
You can also do it manually by just selecting all of the songs in the list and pressing delete. The playlist will then repoplulate with new songs.
