Updation of attributes

Hi All,
Can you please help to confirm my below understanding :
FM - BBP_UPDATE_ATTRIBUTES is used to upload attributes in the "attributes" tab of Organsization structure by giving below inputs:
Org Unit Id or user Id
attributes & their value
Is it mandatory to use this FM via a report only .. Can we try to exceute it via trx se37 just for testing purpose?

hi,
The FM- BBP_UPDATE_ATTRIBUTES is overwriting the attributes if there are any for a particular user.
let us know is there any other way such that it should creates an entry if it is not there or else it should update if an attribute already there.
BTW, The FM is working in both ways 1) direct execution through SE37 2) through a Report program.

OIM Design Console Internal error while updating task attributes

Hi All,
I have installed OIM9101 on jboss, the set up is running fine. I am in the process of integrating a OID connector following steps given OID connector guide. In design console(Administration-->Task Scheduler) while modifying "OID Group Lookup Reconciliation Task" attributes, attribute value is not getting saved. When i click on save option it shows a pop up windows saying "problem in updating task attributes. update failed."
Any solution for this??.. Please help.

Thank you for the reply..I have tried to create a new scheduled task. But while saving it again an Internal error pop up window comes saying " Description:Could not execute database read.The database encountered a problem with the specified SQL Query.Remedy: Check the database query.Contact your system administrator."..
Is it any problem with my database.? I have checked database, its up and running??

I am facing above error when try to update any task in the task scheduler.

I would assume you are missing the jar file for your scheduled tasks. Try and create a new scheduled task with the same class name, if it won't let you save, this is your answer. You'll want to make sure you have the connector scheduled task file in the ScheduleTask folder in your OIM directory.

I would agree with Martin. You simply need to be member of Schema Admins
group. You can add that using dsa.msc.
By the way, why are you trying to do that? Lastlogon attribute should not be replicated as it maintained locally on each DC. CRM function module to update the attribute in the classification TAB of BP

Hi All,
Can any body let me know if there is any functionmodule to update the CRM function module to update the attribute in the classification TAB of BP tcode.
I have searched a lot i get FM to update the marketing attribute and not the attributes in the classification tab.

User interface for updating/adding attributes in OID

Hello,
I have not done the develop work in OAS10g (web, oid, +) though I have years experiences as DBA in OAS and Oracle database servers.
I need to develop a user interface for users to add or update the user's attributes such as sn, manager etc.
The IDM system is working in prod: OAS 10g r2, installed (upgraded to) with infrastructure and oid 10.1.4.3.
OID: user attributes have been loaded with: CN, UID, mail and etc.
The requirement
User interface: an app based Ohttp web 10g
I'd like the interface works like:
The user accessing the web interface, is prompted with UID and mail. if the user correctly fills the fields, then will be prompted with the attributes which user can add or update.
Because I have Not done any development in OAS (web, oid), I need know what skills I need to aquire. ANd how should I proceed?
I may know the skills would be Ohttp development and OID API (LDAP), but I need these be specific as much as possible.
Can any point the direction with examples and docs?

But at the stage of updating delivery attributes I get the following error message

Looks like the authorisation is failing due to a bad registration for some reason.
Would you be kind enough to clear out the registration to ensure we are dealing with a fresh start and no information is being used which may have become corrupt. You may do this by following this procedure;
Remove existing reg details
# usr/lib/cc-ccr/bin/eraseCCRRepository
List /tmp/RegistrationProfile.properties file
# cat /tmp/RegistrationProfile.properties
Attempt re-registration
# sconadm register -a -r /tmp/RegistrationProfile.properties

Update custom attributes in WebUI using 9iFS

Updating custom attributes of subclassed document in WinUI is

Yes. You have to write a servlet/JSP+bean to update the
attributes. You can also upload XML file to update your
attributes.

Forms Personalization: FRM-41017- Cannot set UPDATE ALLOWED attribute error

Hey All,
I have a requirement in Projects > Allocation > Allocation Rules which needs a few mandatory columns to be greyed out.
I think that the form is not getting query-able because of the “FRM-41017- Cannot set UPDATE ALLOWED attribute of non-enabled item RULE.OFFSET_METHOD” error when we open the form.
I was trying to set the required property to false for personalization’s done on mandatory columns and see if that can work in suppressing that error. But it did not.
Can anyone help me by telling how to avoid this and make the form query-able?

How do I update "Rendered" attribute property from VO in runtime?

I can override isAttributeUpdateable() in RowImpl for "updateable" attribute property of a VO in runtime.
Is there API to update "Rendered" attribute property? I need to set it based on some condition or business rule in runtime.

If you have a work flow there are several ways to do this. If the attribute is global, and can change on all resources, you can set user.global.<attribute> to what ever you want and it will usually propagate out fine. You can also update the attribute specifically on the resource with user.accounts[LDAP].<attribute>.

Update Marketing attributes in Interactive Scripting

I would like to know if anyone knows how to :
1. Display multi value fields in Interactive Scripting 5.2
In standard IS editor, there is a dynamic answer "Marketing Attribute 5.1". We need to create new ones. What it the process ?
2. Update Marketing Attributes (or any other multi value fields) in IS. In addition to that, IS Editor in 5.2 don't have "ABAP Call" and "RFC ABAP Call" type actions in the repository, where 4.0 comes with these types. I would like to make a RFC call to R/3 from IS, and display the returned value in the IS.

Yes, You have to clearly define what type of marketing attribute it is. i mean whether person or organization.
It is not possible to use marketing attributes which are valid for persons AND organizations for survey.
For eg. If the marketing attribute is of type person(you can see this in the trx Crmd_prof_templ) and the BP is of type Organisation then it wont work for you.
In this case either change the attributes to Organization type ,reattach them in the survey suite and then try.
If you have attribute of person type then the BP should be of the same type.Actually in the code there is a string which matches from both the sides.So in case of any mismatch the updation would not be there.

Update marketing attributes and send mBDoc BUPA_MAIN

Hi,
When I update marketing attributes in CRM there are three mBDocs sent into queues (MKTPROF_MSG and CHARVAL_MSG) and also BUPA_MAIN .
I'd like to know if sending BUPA_MAIN is an standard SAP solution or not.
If it's not where can I find how it's work (configuration, sap note)

Hi Robert,
As of the relationship beteween the three bdoc, it has been coded as of SAP is concerned. As any change in Marketing attribute has to be reflected in BP so that no inconsistency occurs.
You can obviously stop generation of one of the mbdocs, but the generation will not be conditionally stoped, but it will be stop permanently.

External lists for updating marketing attributes

I'm now working in CRM 3.1, but we're going to upgrade for 5.0 in the autumn. In this relation I'm working on a pre-project where I'm looking for the possibilities for using external lists for updating marketing attributes on existing BPs. How can I map this fields? Do I use advanced mapping fields or structure enhancement using appended fields?

Yes, this function become standard for CRM 5.0. CRM5.0 ELM provide different format types for create BPs (with marketing attributes), activities and leads. You need to define different format type when you create mapping format. For updating marketing attributes, you need to choose type "Business Partner" type so that all the marketing attributes will be available for you to pick to create the mapping format.
You can look at the CRM5.0 release note and document for more details

Updating Song Attributes for Multiple Users Sharing a Media Folder

I have 2 users on the same iMac, each with their own library but sharing the same media folder. If one user updates song attribute information (example - adding the song year), how does the other user update his library with those attribute changes? I tried to do File-->Add to library which is the way one user adds songs to his library that the other user added, but that didn't work. If I play the song, it updates the information. If I select File-->Get Info for a single song, it updates the information, but if I select multiple songs it does NOT update the information.

Got into the same issue today; I selected all the songs and updated the ratings. That helped to sync with the latest attributes. If you care about your song ratings.. then this might not help you.

Update TimeStamp Attribute

I want to update TimeStamp attribute (HistoryColumn) of entity with current time.
I have one VO based on EO
now from back bean I want to update TS in VO. I found that updatable property of TS in vo is Never.
so if I try to set its value as
java.sql.Timestamp sqlDate = new java.sql.Timestamp(new java.util.Date().getTime());
row.setAttribute("TimeStamp",sqlDate ) it gives attribute cannot be updated .(As its updatable property is set as Never)
I tried with History_column as modified on and refresh after Update . and tried to update some other attribute of VO still it dosen't work.
Any soultion for this?

ADF has built in support for history columns- Are you making use of it? In case if you want to override the default value set by run time,
1. either you can build your own history type - http://jobinesh.blogspot.com/2011/02/creating-custom-history-types.html
2. or override prepareForDML to set your custom value aafter super.prepareForDML (). - Mark the attribute as updatable

Update market attribute for BP

Dear expert, i need to update market attribute of bp in CRM.
At the moment i'm using function module CRM_MKTBP_ASSIGN_ATTRIBUT_TAB to create/update the attribute.
It works fine but there is a problem when I try to update the field ATWRT (characteristic value) on an attribute that already exist. For example if I have:

and I want to update in :

ATWRT

This doesn't work. I found another function to do it, CRM_MKTBP_UPDATE_ATTR_BP, but I don't know if I can use it instead to use CRM_MKTBP_ASSIGN_ATTRIBUT_TAB .
Anybody already found this problem ?
