Upgarde to SRM 5.0 from 4.0

Hi All,
We are using SRM 4.0 - ECS scenario and backend is ECC 6.0. Can any one tell me about
1) What are business benefits we will get in SRM 5.0 compared to SRM 4.0
2) We want to know impact of upgradation on open workitems of end users. I mean if we upgrade to SRM 5.0 the open workitems in SRM 4.0 have any impact or changes after upgradation
3) We understand that Vendors will be not be part of Org Structure in SRM 5.0. So If we upgrade to SRM 5.0 those changes will be done to existing Org Structure automatically or not. If not how to do that?
4) Presently we are using P-Card (Custom developed) in SRM 4.0. We heared that in SRM 5.0, P Card comes with standard functionality. Can any one please confirm the same?
5) What are other changes will come by upgrading to SRM 5.0

Calling the SRM-MDM Catalogue from SAP PM

Dear SRM-MDM Experts,
We are trying to call the SRM-MDM Catalogue from ECC 6 Plant Maintenance module using tcode IW31. We have performed the following config in PM:
1. Define Catalogs
2. Assign Catalogs to Task List Types
When we create a Plant Maintainance order using tcode IW31, there is a Catalog button on the bottom of the screen. When we click on this Catalog button, it give us message u201CNo Catalog could be determinedu201D. What else do we need to configure to make this work?

I figured it out. Issue resolved. I had to link the Catalog to teh PM order type.

Purchase Order Response in SRM 4.0 from R/3 through XI

Hello Friends
Iam using XI Receiver Adapter in the communication channel between XI and SRM. Iam mapping ORDRSP IDoc coming from R/3 with "PurchaseOrderConfirmation" message type. Iam using the target interface as "PurchaseOrderConfirmation_In" (which I have taken from the SAP SRM SERVER which I loaded in Repository) in the Interface mapping.
I could see the message in the SXMB_MONI of SRM with a red flag. and the error says:

Hi,
Have you tested your Message Mapping? Looking at your error that is what sounds like the error. Either the cardinality has an issue or a probably and extra tag somewhere in your XML.

when create an outbound plug of Suspend type a parameter Url is automatically created,
fire the outbuond plug with the Url to a BSP page where you have JavaScript.
and fromt he BSP navigate back to WDA again which you can do using by reading the url parameter sap-wd-resumeurl, which contains the WDA URL

SRM 7 data from SC to Local PO

Hi,
As I am new to SRM, I wish to know how the data flow from SC to PO.
Here is my scenarion, we are in extended classic scenarion, we have 10 custom fields in SC and have the same 10 fields in PO also.
The moment a SC is ordered, approved and created our local PO will be created .
I want to know how the data for the custom fields and the standard fields flow from SC to local PO. Are there any BADI's that carries the data from SC to local SRM PO or will it happen using standard programs??

Hello Krishna,
Try method BBP_PO_CHANGE from BAdI BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI or method BBP_DOC_SAVE (filter BUS2201) from BAdI BBP_DOC_SAVE_BADI.
Inside the method, get shopping cart data in order to map the SC customer field to the PO standard field.

Pricing in SRM when coming from Ariba

Hi All,
We're having an issue at a customer regarding the different ways that Ariba and SRM calculate price formula. Ariba has the ability to show the Unit Price in one UoM, but have the Qty ordered in a different UoM. They utilize a "conversion" factor in order to get the correct Total Price.
As an example I have this data:
From Ariba:
Quantity = 10    (ordering quantity is pallets)
Unit Conversion = 150     (150 Rolls in 1 Pallet)
Price unit quantity = 1
Price = 4.50      (price per Roll)
Unit of Measure = pallet   (ordering UOM)
Price Unit of measure = Roll     (priced by UOM)
The formula for amount is Line Item Amount = Quantity * ( Unit Conversion / price Unit ) * Price
Line Item Amount = 10 * ( 150 /1 ) * 4.50 = 6750
The issue is that when this data gets sent to SRM via OCI, they only send Quantity(10), Price in Price per Roll(4.5), Price Unit Quantity(1), and a Unit of Measure(Pallet).
The equation that the SRM system therefore does is: Line Item Amount = 10 * 4.50 = 45 which is incorrect, as it doesnt recognize that the 4.50 is for a roll, while the 10 is a pallet.
Have any of you worked through something like this in the past? Is there a workaround utilizng mapping tables, or perhaps passing the conversion factor over to SRM?

The OCI structure is static, if Ariba performs some additional calculations in the Ariba application before it transfers to the SRM structure then why can it not be that only the data be passed to the SRM OCI structure which is expected by the SRM application?
Open Catalog Interface accepts:
NEW_ITEM-UNIT[n] 3 Quantity unit for item quantity
NEW_ITEM-PRICE[n] 15 Price of an item per price unit
NEW_ITEM-PRICEUNIT[n] 5 Price unit of the item (if empty, 1 is used)
NEW_ITEM-QUANTITY[n] 15 Item quantity
NEW_ITEM-CUST_FIELD1[n] 10 User-defined field
NEW_ITEM-CUST_FIELD2[n] 10 User-defined field
NEW_ITEM-CUST_FIELD3[n] 10 User-defined field
NEW_ITEM-CUST_FIELD4[n] 20 User-defined field
NEW_ITEM-CUST_FIELD5[n] 50 User-defined field
Any of these fields are applicable in the scenario, if additional logic is required this can be perhaps passed in the availalbe customer defined fields and a calculation performed in the BBP_CATALOG_TRANSFER Badi to suit the expected result.
In its simpliest form, the OCI structure simply expects that the data transferred from the catalog will match the definition outlined in the OCI Documentation in order for correct translation to the relevant BO fields in SRM_SERVER.

Reading SRM- MDM Catalog from R/3

We need to validate which Product Hierarchy a user used when adding an item to a cart from the SRM Catalog.
We are using Function Module BBP_PD_SC_GETDETAIL to get the key content of the selected cart(s) but this does not give us the required information.
Is there a way of 'reading' the MDM Catalog, particularly the Product Hierarchy from R/3?

You can configure MDM catalog in ERP at this path

SRM 7.0 - Avoid SRM PO creation from SC when the authorization WF ends

Hello,
We need to stop the SRM PO creation when the SC is approved. There is a background client process which creates the PO all nights so we need to stop the process and wait for the client process.
It seems that the event of approve the SC triggers the creation of the PO.
Any idea?

Hello,
You can set the shopping cart to be sourcing relevant.
Doing this, after approved, it will have flag SOURCE_REL_IND as item level as "X". Then, PO will be created only after sourcer processes the cart manually.
You can set a product category as sourcing relevant in SPRO ... -> SRM Server -> Sourcing.

SRM Reservation Grouping from Shopping cart

Hi,
We are creating a backend reservation for when a material is ordered in the shopping cart and at the moment the shopping cart creates one reservation per line. I would like the whole shopping cart to actaully create one reservation in the backend. Does anyone have any advice as to the best method to use to acheive this?

Hi Andrew,
I don't know your SRM release, but in SRM 5.0 the reservation split is executed here:
class: CL_BBP_SC_TRANSFER
method: SPLIT_RESERVATION
(you can check it in the transaction SE24).
Here you can see to logic why your reservation is spitted.
Anyway, you can override the standard logic and group the items in the BAdI BBP_RESERVATION_GRP.

Transfer purchase requisitions to SRM 5.5 from ECC 6.0

We have an issue with our program BBP_EXTREQ_TRANS to copy our pur requisitions to SRM 5.5 (setup as Extended Classic scenario) but it blocks weekly. We cannot identify a root cause for this - sometimes there is no error log via tcode SLG1 or most recently, it is "Business partner cannot be changed" on a new purchase requisition.
Does anyone know what this error message is trying to tell us and how to solve this?

Can you please check the ststus of Purchase Requisition in ECC whether it is released or block.This will not allow you to transfer the PR to SRM system.

Integration from SRM 5.0 to R/3 4.7

I have done SM59 configuration settings in SRM 5.0 and R/3 4.7. I am able to test remote login from R/3 4.7 to SRM 5.0 (I am getting new SRM 5.0 Login window when I click on Remote Login in SM59 from R/3 4.7 server).But I am not getting new R/3 4.7 Login window when I click on Remote Login from SRM 5.0 server - SM59 Transaction window.
Kindly guide me what should I do to get new R/3 4.7 window from SRM 5.0 - SM59 settings(Remote Logon test)
Kind Note: I have given correct User ID, Password, and Cliet of R/3 4.7 in SRM 5.0 - SM59 settings(under logon details tab)

I am able to login SRM 5.0 from R/3 4.7 window with SM59 - Rmote Login testing, I have done the following for testing:
1. I entered into SM59 transction in R/3 4.7 and completed the required settings.
2. I click on Remote Login (Application Tool bar).
3. I got new window where I can enter SRM 5.0 User ID and Password.
4. I received SRM 5.0 easy access window.
I tried to test SM59 from SRM 5.0. But, I am not receiving any new window to provide R/3 4.7 User ID and password.

Error in PO creation from SRM 7.01 to ECC 6.0

Hi Gurus,
Please throw some light on my isssue.
We are developing Plan Driven Procurement Business Scenario in SRM.
Current System details are ECC 6.0 EHP4, PI 7.1 & SRM 7.01.
We have done all the configuration settings in ECC, PI & SRM.
PR created in ECC 6.0 and External source of Supply tab generated in PR, processed through SAP PI successfully to SRM 7.01 and sent confirmation back to ECC. We are using ABAP Proxies and standard content for this PDP Scenario.
1) Using PurchaseRequestERPSourcingRequest_Out as an outbound interface and PurchaseRequestERPSourcingRequest_In as Inbound interface.
2) SRM we are using PurchaseRequestERPSourcingConfirmation_Out as an Outbound Interface and PurchaseRequestERPSourcingConfirmation_In as an Inbound interface in ECC.
3) Using PurchaseOrderERPRequest_Out_V1 as an Outbound interface and PurchaseOrderERPRequest_In_V1 as Inbound interface.
We are facing problem while getting confirmation back to SRM 7.01 from ECC as the interface is not getting triggered in ECC.
We are using
4) Using PurchaseOrderERPConfirmation_Out as an Outbound interface and PurchaseOrderERPConfirmation_In as an Inbound interface.
Please provide inputs to resolve the issue.
