Do I need to upgrade Arch from CD when a new version is released?

The subject is pretty much self-explanatory.
I installed Duke. Should I upgrade to Don't Panic? Or I will get the same effect if I just upgrade the packages regularly?

Can't upgrade itunes from 1.4 to latest version

Can anyone help - downloaded the latest itunes and tried to install. Get so far and following error comes up
error 1324. The path contains an invalid character.

Can I upgrade FCP from 7 yrs.ago with my new comp purchase?

I bought the full out FCP in 2001. I am about to buy new mac but cannot drop $1000. Do upgrades work that far apart? I have the same situation for Photoshop too. I don't really want to buy the cheaper abbreviated versions. Thanks!

I've tried to open my iPhoto and a message box opens up and reads "To open your library with this version of iPhoto, it first needs to be prepared. To prepare the library, use the iPhoto Library Upgrader available from Apple." I update this and this message continues to pop up. I've even tried to rebuild it, but no matter what I do the same message appears and iPhoto still wpn't open. Can somebody please help me?!

i'm having the same problem with my iMac (Mac OS X 10.7.5) . i haven't really made any updates to it and yesterday when i tried to access the iPhoto library of my MBP (from my iMac) is when problems started. The iPhoto on the iMac initially said I need to install the recent version of the iPhoto. Since I can't find a 9.0 download, I went to buy the iPhoto on the App store.
When I tried to install iPhoto (version 9.4.3) to the iMac, I got this message:
The iPhoto Library Upgrader is a tool that prepares libraries from iPhoto 5 or earlier, so you can upgrade them with the current version of iPhoto. You can download the tool here.
Note: If your library is from iPhoto 6 or later, this tool is not required."
I then installed the iPhone Library Upgrader, but I got the same prompt:
'You can't open your current photo library using this version of the iPhoto. You have made changes to your library using a newer version of iPhoto. Please quit and use the latest version of iPhoto."
I guess this takes me back to square one? I am inclined to buy the iLife on eBay with the iPhoto 9.0 version, but needed to know if this is the case before I unfortunately bite the bullet.

Clients upgraded with CU3 still shown with lower version from SCCM console

A couple of months ago, I upgraded all my clients with CU3.
As I still have about 2% of clients not shown as upgraded to CU3 when I look in the console, I started to investigate on client side. It appears those clients properly got the upgrade. From control panel, I can see the CU3 version is displayed.
Any idea why the version is not correctly reported from the console ?

The client should provide that information after a heartbeat discovery. Could it be that those clients missed a few heartbeats? If so, trigger them and the information should update.

Hello, I hope this is the correct place for asking this question. We upgraded our business objects version from 5.6.1 to version 6.5 and we can no longer refresh reports that were previously run in version 5.6.1. By the way I'm using this within Ericsson. The error we get is: Connection or SQL sentence error: (DA0005) The details of which are:Exception: DBD, (Server CNOSS!) (Procedure DynamicSQL) Must declare variable `@select`. State: ZZZZZ The error code gives the following error:Cause 1 You may get a connection or SQL sentence error after changing the date formatin the sbo file.Action 1 Verify that the Oracle NLS_DATE_FORMAT parameter is set to the date formatthat you have set in the sbo file. Check your Oracle documentation for moreinformation.Cause 2 Your ODBC drivers have been moved, deleted, renamed, or damaged.Action 2 Install the Microsoft ODBC driver again. Can't see any problems with this. Also I have refreshed the report with the new time format. This might be more Ericsson specific. Regards,David

Whether you need to buy Mac OS X 10.7.3 depends on what version of OS X you have now.
If you have OS X 10.6.x or lower it is a paid upgrade from the Mac AppStore.
If you have OS X 10.7.x it is a free upgrade you get using Software Update on your Mac.

Open the Mac App Store and try downloading Yosemite. If you get told it's incompatible, the computer's also incompatible with Mountain Lion and Mavericks; if desired, choose About this Mac from the Apple menu, check if the computer has at least a Xeon or Core 2 Duo(not Core Duo) CPU and 2GB of RAM, and if it does, click here and order a download code for Lion 10.7.
Back up your data and check your applications for compatibility before upgrading. In particular, Mac OS X 10.7 and newer don't support PowerPC programs such as versions of Microsoft Office prior to 2008.

Just upgraded from FrameMaker 7.2 to version 12. When I try to create a pdf of a book using .ps file, this crashes. When I use the SaveAsPDF option, the graphics either missing or only partially shown in the resulting PDF. Any ideas?

1. Check to see whether you're fully patched (the latest release is 12.0.4 - you need to install the patches in order).
2. Use the RGB option instead of the CMYK (unless you are creating output for press production).
