Upgrade 11.5.10.2 to R12 on Windows

Hi,
We are planing to upgrade 11i to R12 with below environment.
Operating System : Windows 2003 64-bit.
E-Business Suite Version : 11.5.10.2
Database : 10gR2
Please suggest the Methodologies used to upgrade ebs on Windows.

Please note that 12.1.x is not certified on Windows 64-bit for fresh installation so you will need to install on Windows 32-bit then migrate to 64-bit.

Steps to upgrade OBIA source EBS 11 to R12

Hi,
We have a specific requirement that our EBS source got upgraded from 11.5.10 to R12.
Earlier OBIA Financial,HR Analytics is running successfully. Now we need to map it to R12 source.
Can any one had done this already please suggest required steps.
In my openion changing folders in DAC to point to R12 adaptors and changing files with latest R12 data would work.
Fyi..We haven't done any customizations in the OOB adaptor.

You will need to install 11.2.0.4 into a new ORACLE_HOME, apply the latest 11.2.0.4 PSU patch to the new ORACLE_HOME (see MOS Doc 1454618.1) and then follow the steps in the Upgrade Guide

1. OS . Redhat 4 32-bit have the EBS 11.5.10.2 .
2. OS . Oracle Linux 5.3 64-Bit have the DB 10.2.0.5 .
i want to upgrade the EBS to R12 and migrate it on another server 64-Bit .
Can you provide me please with the steps for this with the notes number.
and should i run the upgrade first or migrate first.
should i download R12 32-bit or 64-bit for linux .
where should i run the rapidwiz .
Note : the DB will stay on the same server and wont change anything on it.

Note: Please make sure you back up your 11i Apps tier files before you install 64-bit OS on Node 1. In case you have CUSTOM_TOPs you need to copy them to Apps R12 Apps tier (APPL_TOP) which can done before or after the upgrade.

1. What version of R12 should we be looking to upgrade to? Latest version?
2. Since R12 uses forms/reports 9i or so now, I expect all forms and reports (including customised ones) to be upgrade to 9i during upgrade. Is that right?

You need to upgrade first 11.x to 12.1.1 than need to apply 12.1.3 patch

Does anybody have successfully installed EBS R12 on Windows 7 Professional or Home Premium (32 or 64 bit)?
If the answer is yes, please share your experience.
It is not important at this point whether Oracle has certified Windows 7 or not.
I just want to know if this can be done.

F. AmorsoloWindows 7 is not certified as you mentioned above, and I have never heard of any successful installation of 11i/R12 on Windows 7 Professional/Home (32-bit or 64-bit).
You could create a VM, and use a certified OS (Windows or Linux) then install R12.

Windows 7 is NOT certified as an application/database tier node, the list of certified Windows OS can be found in (Note: 761567.1 - Oracle E-Business Suite Installation and Upgrade Notes Release 12 (12.1.1) for Microsoft Windows Server (32-bit)). So, download the Windows version of the 12.1.1 files from e-Delivery website and install it on a certified OS.

Installing oracle R12 on windows 2003

i downloaded the suite for windows server 2003.
now i need the complete set of instructions for installing them.are there any documents that can guide me with the installation steps.
i have 160 gb harddrive and 2 gb ram in my system.will this configuration enough

Do not write them to any DVDs. Just download all to the same stage directory on your PC, like c:\stage12r.
Unzip all files from edelivery.oracle.com in that directory up to the documentation CD.

You will need to use disk compression on your c:\ drive before starting the installation, or you will not have room for the installation of Vision R12, which takes 160GB itself, leaving no room for your OS, or staging area.

R12 on windows 2003

hi,
i have a 32 bit H/W.
i want to install r12 on this 32 bit H/W. it's going to be a Single Node.
R12 installs 10g Database. to my knowledge 10g is supported by 64 bit H/W and O/S. if i am true, then r12 is not possible on 32 bit H/W. then should i migrate to 64 bit H/W.
suggestions please.........

R12 Windows 32-bit installs fine on 32-bit Windows 2003, and will use 32-bit components for the entire technology stack and applications. You just need to have cygwin or MKS Toolkit, MS Visual Studio 2005 and gnumake. Detailed instructions are in the Metalink Doc:

Install R12 on Windows XP

Gurus-
I have a Windows XP sp2 , 1gb RAM and 40 GB internal HD with 500 gb External HDD. Trying to install R12 on windows.
Also I have all the set of CDs/DVDs sent by Oracle. Please advice on below items
1. What are the required CDs?DVDS that I need to use to install R12 only?
2. Can I install all the CDs for the above configuration?
3. Can I install R12 on the Exteranl ( 500 gb) HDD? ( any specila steps to be followed for External HDD).
4. Any links( urls or Forum Links) for the easy step by step installation procedures
Please advice as I am new to R12 and installation procedures and have worked just as Apps Developer.

I have complited installation of R12 in my laptop.
I am able to use databaes.. but i am not able to use application.What is the error you get?
Please make sure you have a proper entry in the hosts file.
even also help me to setup $APPL_TOP and related TOP Paths..Source the env file under $APPL_TOP directory, this will set all environment variables for you for the application tier.

Problem to upgrade Lightroom 5.2 to 5.3 in windows 8.1 pro

I have problem to upgrade Lightroom 5.2 to 5.3. I have download and extrakt the down load file on desktop and started the installation as administrator. The computer can not find the Adobe _Lightroom _x64.msi. Is it someone who can solve the problem? Hans

Thanks for at fast replay.
The message is in Swedish and I try to translate:
“The function you are traying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable”. And the massage says also that I shall use: AppData\Local\Temp\{F4C4486E-6739-4CEF-82C5-BEADCC2774EA}. But can´t find the file in the temp file.. I cannot find Adobe_LightRoom_x64.msi anywhere on the computer. I have tried to download the file several times. I can think it can be a problem with uncompressing the file.
