Upgrade 4.6c -- Ecc6 : problem with R3trans

Question

Hello Guys,
we are trying to upgrade our current sap version 4.6c oracle 9.2.0.7 to
Sap Ecc6 on a trial system with linux operation system.
The prepare is stopped in the phase PRPAR (I think that's the name of
the phase) due for an error of R3trans of the new kernel installed on
dir. /usr/sap/put/exe by the installation.
The error of the command : R3trans -d is :

Note that Prepare can be run on 9.2.0.7 according to the notes.We know that
after the Prepare phase before start the upgrade process we must
perform the oracle database upgrade from 9.2 to 10.2 .

Its it an upgrade to ECC or it will be a fresh installation.
Check with your hardware vendor he will be able to provide you the details.
There are many factors for H/w sizing. You can use the quick sizer tool for details.
Sit with your functional consultant and use the quick sizer tool for a rough estimate
Check the installation / upgarde guide for minimum hardwrae specifications for ECC 6.0
