Upgrade 9.2.0.1 to 9.2.0.6 for critical patch install
Hello,
In the announcement letter for the critical patch update it was mentioned that the Oracle database needs to be 9.2.0.5 or 9.2.0.6. We have version 9.2.0.1 installed.
Do I need to upgrade our installation first to 9.2.0.6 in order to install the critical patch?
Or can I just install the patch and this will upgrade the installation?
If an upgrade is needed, where can I find the code and do I need to do this in steps (9.2.0.1 -> 9.2.0.2 -9.2.0.3 etc?).
We do have a support contract.

Do I need to upgrade our installation first to 9.2.0.6 in order to install the critical patch?If you mean latest (July 2005) critical patch then answer is yes you need install 9.2.0.5 or 9.2.0.6 patchset before becouse this patch is for these two versions (this two version already including some critical patches for previous versions).
If an upgrade is needed, where can I find the code and do I need to do this in steps (9.2.0.1 -> 9.2.0.2 -9.2.0.3 etc?).You can install 9.2.0.6 (or 9.2.0.5) directly because patchsets are cumulative.

Test the clone to make sure it's bootable. Then upgrade either one. Try it out first.

You do not need the older version installed in order to install the upgrade version, but you do need the serial number from CS4 to prove that you qualify for using CS5. During the activation process for CS5, after you successfully enter the CS5 serial number you will be asked to select the qualifying version (CS4) from a list and to enter its serial number.
If you registered CS4 when you originally installed it then you might be able to find the serial number available in your Adobe account online in the Products section.

upgraded to ios 5, now my voice mail is asking for a password or code to unlock to get voice mail. Didn't have a passcode before upgrade, so how do I reset the passcode?
So now I went back to the screen that orginally asked me for my Apple ID and passort, and instead of entering my Apple ID i entered the email address associated with it and the new password. It now tells me "You can't sign in because your account was disabled for security reasons. To enable your account, reset your passwort at iforgot.apple.com"
I have now changed my password twice and it still doesn't work.
Until I get this resolved my tablet is useless. -
i upgraded to snow leopard but iphoto was not included. How do I install iphoto on snow leopard 10.6.8?
IPhoto is not included in any OS upgrade. It is a seperate application. Unless you choose to erase your drive when you upgrade no application including iPhoto is affected by the upgrade (except potential compatibility issues). If you need to reinstall iPhoto for and reason you do it from the original source. Either
1- the restore disks that came with your computer
Or
2- the iLife DVD upgrade that you purchased
Or
3- the App store

Keynote '09 is compatible with your computer, but you won't get the latest Keynote version running that version. As you have an Early 2008 MacBook, first I recommend you to update to Mac OS X Snow Leopard to get newer versions of all applications but without losing any applications > http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC573/mac-os-x-106-snow-leopard Make a backup before upgrading.
The DVD contains Mac OS X 10.6.3, so after upgrading, open > Software Update to update to 10.6.8. Then, you will get access to the App Store.
However, the Keynote version available in the App Store is only compatible with OS X 10.7.5 or newer, so now you have two options:
1. Upgrade to OS X Lion and purchase Keynote from the App Store.
2. Keep Mac OS X Leopard or Snow Leopard, and buy Keynote on a DVD in eBay or Amazon. Note that you won't be running the most recent Keynote version, but it doesn't mind (the latest version only adds iCloud support) -
I have seen so much response about the Mountain Lion update slowing down computers. I am updating from Mac OS x 10.6.8. What can I do to ensure the upgrade will go fine? Do I unplug my external hard drive before installing, or keep it plugged in?

There's no reason to think that Mountain Lion will slow down your Mac. Just make a backup of your data before upgrading with Time Machine > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1427
Also, check that your apps are compatible > http://www.roaringapps.com Upgrade them to a compatible version or delete them before upgrading.
The external drive won't make the OS X Mountain Lion installer fail, but it's better to unplug it during the upgrade.
iWork '08 is compatible with Mountain Lion. iWork '09 includes OS X Mountain Lion features and can be purchased at the Mac App Store.
To upgrade to OS X Mountain Lion, I recommend at least 4 GB of RAM. You can check how much memory you have in Apple menu > About this Mac -
Hey Guys. I have a 1st gen dual 2.3 powerPC G5. I just recently upgraded my OS to Leopard 10.5. I cannot for the life of me, get FlashPlayer to work. I Downloaded and installed the archived 10_1r102_64 version, but it still doesn't work.
Everytime I click on a video it says I need to update to the newest version of flash, but my computer doesn't support the updated version. So I feel like I'm in a Catch-22.

My Ipod-touch was ios5 when I bought. You recommend to upgrade ios6, because set-up icon always shows me "+". For that on facebook I can't see wall photos. So I want my ipod touch to be back as initial version ios5. How can I do? please tell me.
Unfortunately, I don't think it solved the problem. I believed the new iPod thing solved the weird behavior problem, but after that the button stopped working.

Since upgrading to OSx 10.9, I cannot place my music for iPhoto slideshows. The only music that works is the Sample and Theme music that comes with iPhoto. Any idea of what to do about this problem?
In iTunes go File -> Library -> Organise Library -> Reorganise Library.
Then quit and restart iPhoto.

We plan to upgrade the 10.1.0.5 to 10.2.0.1 then patch up to 10.2.0.3. On the server, we have 4 databases currently running 10.1.0.5. We plan to use the DBUA to upgrade. Using the DBUA, can I upgrade one database at a time without shutting down the other 3 databases? Or do I have to shutdown all 4 databases while using DBUA? The platform is Solaris 5.9 and we plan to install 10.2.0.1 in another home. Thank you.Hi, for upgrade to 10.2.0.1 and apply the patchset 10.2.0.3 you can install the release 10.2.0.1 at new ORACLE_HOME and after apply the patchset 10.2.0.3 in this new ORACLE_HOME.
After you can download one database and move to new ORACLE_HOME in release 10.2.0.3 and make the upgrade process with DBUA, you must repeat this step for every database.
I recommend you read the upgrade Guide to 10.1.0.5 and Patchset release notes 10.2.0.3.
