Upgrade a single component of CS5.5 Production Premium

I purchased a boxed retail copy of Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 Upgrade from CS5.5 (Windows). I wanted to upgrade just the Premiere component of my CS5.5 Production Premium. It will not install. Can I get it to work?

You can download the trial version of the software from the page linked below and then use your current serial number to activate it.
Be sure to follow the steps outlined in the Note: Very Important Instructions section on the download pages at this site or else the download will not work properly.

  • Upgrade CS5.5 Design Premium with CS5.5 Production Premium

I would like to upgrade my current CS5.5 Design Premium with CS5.5 Production Premium; but, have been told, in so doing, I would lost access to InDesign. Is that accurate? I would think it is a matter of doing a selective install to not overwrite the overlapped programs, but I want to be sure before making the purchase.
    Thanks!

It's because of the Security options.
Go to System Preferences... > Security & Privacy and there should be a button saying Open Anyway, under the General tab.
You can avoid doing this by changing the options under Allow apps downloaded from:, however I would recommend keeping it at the default Mac App Store and identified developers.

  • Simple question: upgrade to CS5.5 Production Premium

    Hello everyone,
After a quick chat with Adobe Chat Support I was inform that it was not possible to upgrade from CS2 Premium to CS5.5 Production Premium.
The box upgrade of CS5.5 Production Premium states the following: Adobe CS5.5 Production Premium English Upgrade FR Suite 2/3V Back
    Is this true?
    Thanks,

  • CS5.5 Production Premium Serial Number no longer works

    Hi there.
I purchased CS5.5 Production Premium back in October of 2011. After upgrading to a new mac and installing the CS5.5 software, it will not accept my serial number. I'm copying and pasting it directly from my Adobe account, so there's no chance of mistyping here. It just won't accept it. Any ideas on how to get back up and running?
Thank you in advance for any assistance,
    Jamey Scott

Jamey Scott I am sorry you have faced a frustrating experience contacting our support team.  I do see that you opened multiple cases.  If you are not seeing the option to chat with a member of our team then it is likely the security settings of your current web browser, a toolbar, or add-on is preventing you from accessing this feature.
I reviewed your account and it appear that you have been assigned as deploy-to id.  This means that if you do not currently have access to https://licensing.adobe.com/ you will want to click on the forgot password link to reset your password.
I would recommend utilizing a different web browser since both issues could be related to the current web browser you are using.  If you face additional difficulties you can also download the installation files to a USB drive utilizing a different computer.

  • CS5.5 Production Premium Installation complications

I downloaded a trial version for CS5.5 Production Premium; I decided to go ahead and buy the whole full version of it. I payed for it and got the serial numbers needed,  but in the middle of the installation, it asks for a serial number update for a "qualifiying  product".
None of the other serial numbers work, and I'm not sure what qualifying product I'm supposed to be having. I thought I was just installing a new suite of programs, not udgrading  from an previous version I never had in the first place.
I'm sorry, but I'm a little annoyed by all this. What on earth am I missing just to get the full version already?

Call Adobe Customer Support. Somehow you either ordered an upgrade version or if you ordered correctly were given the serial number for an upgrade instead of a full version. Only Adobe Customer Support can assist you with this. These forums are user-to-user forums and not an online outlet for either Adobe Customer Support or Adobe Technical Support. Good luck!

  • Cs5.5 production premium...how many machines can I install this on?

I just purchased cs5.5 production premium...it hasn't arrived yet but I was wondering how many machines I can install in on.

    HEY TOM!
The ideal solution is to have a large enough HD (preferably a fast RAID)
for storing your preview and cache files so you don't have to worry about
if they are taking up too much space.
You ignore them, then do a 'Spring Cleaning' now and then after you have
shuffled through a few projects, then save a few minutes when opening
any current projects to allow them to re-generate their cache files if needed.
If you are on Win7, another folder to watch is:
    C:\Users\*username*\AppData\Local\Temp
Media Encoder will leave a lot of files in this folder that can be deleted.
Select all and hit delete.  If you get any messages, skip those files and continue.
Specify scratch disks to improve system performance
Move or clean the Media Cache Database

  • CS5.5 Production Premium via Akamai or direct download: unrecognised, small .dmg file size

A discussion / open call for help about my experiences downloading the product. This may help
    Product:
CS5.5 Production Premium (download version), Intel Based Mac
    My system:
    MacBook Pro OSX 10.6.8
    FireFox 7.0
    Safari 5.1
    Chrome 15
    Problem:
Downloading the 8.2GB .dmg file from order history/your downloads page or opening downloaded file.
    1. Akamai shows that "download integrity is invalid". Confirming to start the process over yields same result. Also noticed that filesze is only 202.36MB.
    2. "Alternative download method" of direct download results in a 212MB file that is not recognised as a disk image.
    3. Speaking to chat support, and going through the above steps again, a direct link was eventually provided, but "access denied" error (to what appears to be the trial version of CS5, not CS5.5). We then had to initiate and cancel a Lightroom download, then go back to the direct link to start CS5 trial.
Download started, but filesize was only 608MB, which cannot be right (no screenshot) No further help on this issue from chat support. I am expecting a call from them, but then I received a case update e-mail saying that they were "happy that we have started the download for Production Premium CS5.5", so not very encouraging.
Also not clearly explained was why I was given the trial. I assume I can unlock the full version with my serial.
    4. Via CS5.5 product page, I started downloading trial using Adobe Download Manager. I have to hover over the progress bar to see what the download status is - 15 hours to go. At least it has initiated and seems to be downloading the right filesize. I am hoping I can just put my serial in this and unlock the full version.
Not the smoothest experience so far. I'll update if this works.

(update:) I've also tried downloading other elements, such as CS5.5 master and I've got the same problem. It seems that EVERY downloads stop before the end...
What does it mean? That Adobe doesn't want users to downlaod trials?

  • CS5.5 Production Premium Dynamic Link error

  • Adobe CS5.5 Production Premium Install Errors and Other Issues

    Hi,
I just  installed Adobe CS5.5 Production Premium on my computer and had some  errors pop up at the end of installation.  I  will paste the summary below.   I've tried to install Procction Premium a couple of times.  I've used  the Adobe Cleaner Tool.  From what I've researched, the Flash Issue  is a  a false error since Flash was already installed on the computer.   Is  the rest of it connected to the Flash issue as well?
Thr programs all seem to work fine except for the issue below.
My  other question is that when I am in Windows Explorer and I Right-Click  on say a .jpg file and select Open With...  I am not able to select  Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator for that matter.  I have Dreamweaver CS4  and that shows up as an option.  I have gone through the process of trying to add the  Adobe Photoshop .exe file, but it still doesn't work.  However, if I open Adobe Bridge, I am able to select Photoshop or Illustrator to open a file.  Is this  connected to my install or is there something else going on?  I did  uninstall an ancient version of Adobe Photoshop 7.0 that I've had for  years, but that was prior to installing Production Premium CS5.  Could  that have caused an issue?  I read that uninstalling an old Photoshop  can cause problems like this.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, your installation errors appear to be the innocuous false errors related to the brain-dead Flash installer. If the programs seem to be working fine, don't worry about it. As far as not being able to open images with Photoshop from Windows Explorer, I recommend taking that question to the Photoshop forum.

  • Adobe CS5.5 Production Premium (32 bits)

Hi, I need to create a deployment for the Adobe CS5.5 Production Premium32 bits version. It would be install on Windows XP Pro SP3. So I first created the "Premiere Pro CS4 and After Effects CS4, 32-bit support for CS5" package. It install without any problem. Now I need to install the rest of the Adobe CS5.5 Production Premium. So without rebooting I launch the installation with the same command line that I use with the 64 bits version without any problem.
    msiexec.exe /i "Adobe CS5.5 Production Premium.msi" /qn REBOOT=ReallySuppress ALLUSERS=1 ARPSYSTEMCOMPONENT=1 ARPPRODUCTICON=ARPPRODUCTICON.exe DWUSINTERVAL=30 INSTALLLEVEL=100 DWUSLINK=CEEB8798AEBC90F8B9ACA7CFEEDC978FEE9BD78F598B90AFCE8BF7A8C91BA08FCE0C479FD9AC ARPURLINFOABOUT="http://www.adobe.com" SHOWLAUNCHPROGRAM=0 ARPCOMMENTS="This package is created by Adobe Application Manager Enterprise Edition" ARPNOMODIFY=1 INSTALLPH=1
The installation start and, after a few seconds, I get an MSI error 1603. Which is an unknown error. What am I missing here? Do I need to reboot the computer after the "Premiere Pro CS4 and After Effects CS4, 32-bit support for CS5" installation before trying the "CS5.5 Production Premium" installation? What are the correct steps for the 32 bits version? I read all the pdf about the CS5 version and couldn't find anything useful other than that I need to install the CS4 part first!
Thanks in advance for the help!

    Problem solved
    msiexec.exe /i "Adobe CS5.5 Production Premium.msi" /qn REBOOT=ReallySuppress
I still don't know exactly why. But as long as it works I don't care.

Just loaded CS5.5 Production premium onto my iMac and I am getting an error message when I try to open Premier Pro i.e., [/Volumes/BuildDisk/builds/Mulder64/shared/adobe/MediaCore/ASL/Foundation/Make/Mac/../../S rc/DirectoryRegistry.cpp-283].  I am finding similar issues with Encore.  Haven't been able to get through to Adobe help as yet, anyone have an idea?

Which language is your default system language set to? This is critical as you may have installed support for langauges that your version of CS cannot handle. The common fix is to choose File --> Info or File --> Explore Package and remove e.g. Asian languages...

  • Installing CS5.5 Production Premium over CS5 Extended

I have a previous installation of CS5 Design apps with Photoshop CS5 extended, Illustrator and the other web apps (Silly me, purchased Design Suite a year or two ago and now purchased the rest of the apps in CS5.5 Production Premium, should've bought the Master Collection years ago) so now I am trying to install the other apps I need from Production Premium.  It looks like PS and Illustrator come with this set though.
So I am wondering, if I do a complete install, won't I lose all my PS brushes, styles, and other custom settings?
Could I just install Premiere, After Effects and Audition?  It also looks like some of these apps are not 5.5 version but 5.1.  Is that correct?
So what would be my best options for this installation?
    Thanks.

    No takers?
Could someone maybe shed some light on how I should go about doing a custom install of the apps in a separate directory maybe?
All I really need are the video editing components, so I am not sure if that is just Premiere, After Effects, and Audition.  Do I need other apps for support of these?
    Thanks.

  • IMac will not run Pro Tools 9 - Some will not run CS5.5 Production Premium and some will?

So i have 6 imacs in my computer lab at this time - I recently created a new image for all of our lab computers using snow leopard OS, Pro Tools 9.0, and Adobe CS5.5 Production Premium - this image works fine on our MacPro's and Pro Tools has no problems opening or CS5.5, but when I imaged the same image onto the imacs - CS5.5 only works on two of the machines and Pro Tools 9.0 will not open on any imac ( i keep getting the message "Can not find playback device: I thought you didnt need one for Pro Tools 9?) and i cant figure out why.  The imacs that have problems with CS5.5 and Pro Tools are the 20" early 2006 versions, and the imacs that run CS5.5 but not Pro Tools are 20" late 2006 versions.  Are they just too old?  Why would it let me image on the late 2006 version of imac but not the early 2006?  Do i need to create an image on the imac itself and then farm it out to the others?
    Thanks for your comments,
    Kyle

I know this is a very late answer for you, but it may help others out.
Try holding down the "N" key on your keyboard while loading the Pro Tools application.
This will eventually open up a dialog box with a drop down menu for selecting your interface.
In the case where you're not using an interface (like the lab), within this dialog box, just select Built-in Output and plug in your headphones in the back of the iMac.
I'm running several rooms with iMacs and PTLE 9.0.6 on Snow Leopard 10.6.8 and this is the only hiccup I've run into. Hopefully, holding down the "N" key works for you.
