Upgrade apple Macbook pro with retina
Hi, i alredy know that the ram and the flash storage are soldered to the board in the new macbook pro with retina display but i just wondering if i go to an apple store could they send my macbook pro to apple and upgrade the ram and the flash storage and then send me back??? I alredy bought it an it cost me a lot but now i have the money to upgrade the ram and flash storage can i do it that way??
I'd rather suggest: Call Apple or take an appointment and walk into he store. They can't just turn you back. Apple can give you an upgrade even though the RAM in soldered in. They do it for the iPad all the time, tap hey simply take your unit and give you anothe and you pay e difference. They use stock that is different from the retail packages nd may run out from time to time but I don't believe you are stock with it. At the worst, you may pays bit more than the initial upgrade cost and be sure to backup before you go.

Or have it replaced. Unless you've added a bunch of strange stuff, this shouldn't happen to a brand new one. Let your local Apple Store get you going with a MBP that works perfectly.

Hello, i have the same problem i have my brand new MacBook Pro retina display with mountain lion, but i can´t upgrade any app or installing from App Store, because all that app are compatible with 10.8.2 and not with 10.8.1 i ´ve been downloaded the upgrade from this link http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1581?viewlocale=es_ES, and i try to install it and they said that my Hard Disk is not compatible with this software. ***!!!! is the last new machine and i can´t upgrade!!!! please i need a solution, or a link whatever. i tried to re-install the mountain lion and is the same problem, today at the afternoon i will try with my time machine hard drive to see what happened beacuse in my ex macbook air 2012 i have the last O.S.

Combining Mover's Discount Coupon and Student Discount Coupon on Macbook Pro with Retina Display
To whom it may concern,
I've recently saved up enough to buy a Macbook Pro with Retina Display 13.3" with 8GB Memory ($1235) and I read on a few forums that you could combine the Mover's Coupon and College Student Coupon on the Macbook. However, with that discount, many customers had trouble because the sales associate/manager said it wasn't applicable to apply the Mover's Coupon and neither was it applicable to combine both coupons.
As a result, I called my local Best Buy in Brooklyn, NY (Bay Parkway, Store #599) in advance to double check if it was possible so that I wouldn't be wasting my time trying to argue with the store manager, etc. The sales associate said generally, I couldn't combine two coupons regardless of what type they were.
I was wondering if combining the Mover's Coupon and College Student Coupon still applied to the Macbook Pro.
If it did, would it be possible for someone to directly contact my local Best Buy store manager or sales associate that would be ringing me up and explain how to do it and that it is possible to combine the two coupons. I also have a $100 Best Buy gift card that I intend to use with my purchase so I was wondering if that was applicable on top of the Best Buy coupons.

If your OS is fully up-to-date, that is close to impossible. The Flashback site has not been known to be active since long before August.
Did you migrate any users from an older system, perhaps? It might have been transferred if that is the case.
ISP's are famous for mis-diagnosing these things with regard to Macs, so you might want to challenge them to provide you with their logs and specifics about what they are seeing.
Is it possible that another device is on your network that could be causing this, either something you own or a neighbor using your network? -

To answer a little more directly - no. RAM on the Retinas is not connected through standared SODIMM slots, but connected directly to the logic board.

I plan on purchasing a MacBook Pro with Retina Display, but was wondering if I could be able to upgrade it's memory or flash memory in the Apple Store in the future?
Thank you!I bought after-market ssd's for Macbook Air's from OWC. Those ssd's do not fit into the Retina MBP. I'm guessing OWC will come up with some after-market options but they will be expensive and given that you can already order a 768 directly from Apple, they would have to generate very sizable ssd's to sell them - likely way to expensive. The built-in ssd's in the Retina are supposed to have excellent performance. I ordered one with a 768 myself but these units have not shipped for the most part. I'm guessing supplies of the 768 are limited right now, or at least backlogged. All that is not terribly helpful but may add to the question asked.

I have been using my macbook pro with retina display for more than a month and I can connect it to my HD Television, Fine. But since I upgraded my OS to mountain Lion, I can no longer connect it to my television. Did apple missed something with mountain lion? I know there is nothing wrong with my connection, so something is wrong with the new mountain lion OS. Can people from APPLE help me?
No one from Apple here - this is a user-to-user forum. I don't have a Retina but if you could let us know how you were connecting (HDMI>HDMI, for example) perhaps someone will be able to help you out.
