Upgrade CCM 4.1.2 to 4.1.3

How I can upgrade the Cisco CallManager version 4.1.2 to Cisco CallManager Version 4.1(3), Service Release 1?

Hi Ricardo,
This is a "supported" upgrade path :) Here is the "read-me" for the upgrade which contains a good step by step reference. Upgrade to 4.1(3)(web download .exe available) first and then apply the SR (I beleive the SR is up to 5b now);

For Batch jobs -- Try analyzing your database schema's referred by batch jobs. Also look if you have suff o/s resources as recommended by oracle for running Oracle 9i software.
For backups -- Check the size of your dmp file before upgradation and after upgrading to 9i. If you do not find major diff in size then it could be a resource issue like cpu usage / io / memory.

Do we need license to upgrade the CCM version from CCM 7.0 to 7.1(5).

I just did this upgrade last night.  The system went into demo mode on the node license.  As I'm taking it on up to 8.6 tonight I'm not worried about it, but wanted to let people know there is some process they will have to do if staying at 7.1(5)

  • Upgrading CCM,CER, Unity

Hi, I was wondering how everyone keeps their versions up to date on their voip applications. Is there a site that Cisco has where I can find out what I should be running for Callmanager, CER, BARS,Unity, and IPCC? I have been put in charge of keeping these up to date but have no idea where to start. Thanks in advance.

    Hi Efrain,
    Hope all is well my friend. Good question! This can become very complicated very quickly especially when it comes to inter-operability and compatabilty between these products. You don't want to get too far behind in versioning but you don't want to be "bleeding edge" either. This is probably the best Cisco doc, especially for these types of questions, that I have ever seen;
Cisco Unified Communications Manager Software Compatibility Matrix
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/compat/ccmcompmatr.html#wp1576951
Have a look at the various sections and you will see what the latest and greatest versions are, and what works with and has been tested with each other piece of the puzzle. You have to be careful and really plan these out because Hardware comes into play with many upgrades as well. As I said this can be come complicated but not overwhelming if properly planned out :)
    Hope this helps!

  • CCM 2.0 Catalog to SRM-MDM 3.0 Catalog during SRM 7.0 upgrade

    Hi,
We are upgrading our existing SRM 5.0 system to SRM 7.0 and we are planning to deploy SRM-MDM 3.0 Catalog as it is more flexible & SAP is not going to support CCM 2.0 Catalog after 2013. Please let me know the upgrade steps/plan to upgrade CCM 2.0 to SRM-MDM 3.0 catalog. As per my understanding, there is no tool/method available to upgrade from CCM 2.0 to SRM-MDM 3.0 catalog available. We need to build it from scratch i.e maintain SAP supplied MDM repository, upload data from SRM/ERP, upload suppliers catalog etc.
    Thanks,
    AS

    Hi,
I have migrated CCM to SRM-MDM Catalog.
    Steps are
    - Install SRM-MDM Catalog
    - Adjust Repository if you have custom fields
    - Import contents
    - Adjust view
Migration itself is not difficult but you need to learn how to use MDM client tools.
The SRM270 class room training is good one.

  • OS upgrade from 2000 to 2003 possible?

We are running OS Service Release 2000.4.3asr6 and CCM 4.1(3)sr4d. We want to upgrade CCM to Version 4.3(1), but it requires OS 2003.1.1 prior to the upgrade.
Is it possible to upgrade OS 2000 to 2003?
    Thank you in advance.
    Zeek

    Hi Jason,
We have to upgrade a callmanager 4.1(3) to a 4.3(1).
The CMM 4.3(1) supports only the OS 2003.1.1 or greather.
You recommand to make a freh install on the server and restore the datas by using the a Bars backup.
But is it possible to restore a BARS from a version 4.1 to a 4.3 ?
I think that to restore a bars, you must to it on an exactly version of callmanager ?
    Thanks you in advance,
    Thierry

  • WSDL for CCM 4.2

    Dear All!
As i wrote in previous thread..
my company just upgraded CCM from 4.1 to 4.2
    AND NOW
the applications i wrote (using VS 2005) may not work because of differences in AXL module in CCM 4.2.
What should i do? If wsdl were not bugged i could update the proxy class and everything should work... but we know that this is not true!!
Any people are working with VS and CCM 4.2? Is there an hacked version of .wsdl for CCM 4.2?
    Thank you all

cisco docs state this link can provide the locale installers you're looking for, for CCM 4.2.
    http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/tablebuild.pl/callmgr-locale-40
it is titled callmanager 4.0 but is linked via the callmanager 4.2 installation guide. this should work fine.

  • IPCCX 5.0(2)SR1 Windows OS Upgrade

    Hi,
Just looking for clarification on Windows OS 2003 upgrade for IPCCX 5.0(2) installation. There are no O/S upgrades within the IPCCX download section.
I can only find Windows 2003 O/S upgrades within the Call Manager 4.3 O/S downloads.
I trust that I can use the 2003.1.5 O/S upgrade from the Call Manager 4.3 section and upgrade my IPCCX 2003.1.3 OS.
    thanks
    Ian.

    Hi
Hopefully you were looking at this:
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cust_contact/contact_center/crs/express_compatibility/matrix/crscomtx.pdf
You have mentioned a few things:
    1) UCM Version - this just restricts which version of UCCX you may move to (i.e. 7.0, 8.0 etc). The first UCCX version that supports 6.1(2) on that document is 5.0(2), and the latest is 7.0(1)Sr5.. so you can run any of those versions without upgrading CCM if you so wish.
    2) OS Version - this is unrelated to the UCM version; there is an OS releases column on the table for each UCCX version. For 5.0(2)SR1, you can go up to 2003.1.5sr5. What you do with the OS doesn't have any relation to the UCM version, as UCM will not be aware of this.
    3) Platform type - this mainly comes into play with initial builds; the build DVDs will only support the servers on the list. For upgrades compatibility tends to be looser, but you would want to always be running a platform that is listed as compatible.
    What platform do you have?
    Aaron

  • Reconfig call flow (?) after upgrading to CCM4.1(3)

    Hello everyone,
I upgrade CCM 3.3(5) to CCM4.1(3) without any errors. Yet the follow call flow seems not working.
How could I reconfig it in new CCM server? Thank you for your reply.
    Outside callers call to hotline#
    - Carrier translates it to local#
    - CallManager translates it to 1500 and sends it to Unity
    - Unity plays greeting of hotline call handler and transfers call to extension #1001
    - If 1001 is busy or not answer, call is forwarded to 1002.
    - If 1002 is busy or not answer, call is forwarded to 1003.
    - If 1003 is busy or not answer, call is forwarded to voice mail of hotline
    Howard

    Hi Howard,
Hope things are well for you:) It seems like this should work regardless of the Unity version. What number/DN do you have setup up for the Voicemail box for the Hotline? It can't be 1500 because that is the Call Handler correct. You might want to do a test setup and make the last forward step a phone like a 7940 so that you can see what number is being presented to Unity in the final forward step (you may be able to use Unity Call Viewer, not sure about your older version).
It seems likely the problem is in the number being presented vs the number you have configured for the Hotline Mailbox.
    Hope this helps!

  • CCM 4.2 and 5.0 developer documentation

Just in case you missed yesterday's announcement. CCM 4.2 and 5.0 are now officially out (as usual on new product hold) and the development documentation has been updated and is available at the usual place: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/voicesw/ps556/products_programming_reference_guides_list.html
Now we just need somebody to come up with a way of running CCM 5.0 on a VMWare as having physical server for a handful of different CCM Versions and service releases never really was and never will be an option.
While I do not have the WSDL and XSD files yet, the AXL manual still mentions the usual files so one thing's for sure: things have not improved at all in the AXL department and the WSDL still has to be hacked to permit an import into Visual Studio. When will Cisco learn that WSDL and XSDs are not to be edited (never ever ever), but must be autogenerated by the development environment where you design your webservice? <sigh>

    Dear All!
My company just upgraded CCM from 4.1 to 4.2......
    AND NOW
the applications i wrote (using VS 2005) may not work because of differences in AXL module in CCM 4.2.

  • CallManager upgrade from 3.3(5)es23 to 4.2(3) fails

Not having a lot of luck over on the Unified Communications Applications forum so thought I would post this here as well.
The CallManager upgrade from 3.3(5)es23 to 4.2(3) fails at installing SQL2000 SP4.
    On the Publisher :
    OS Image 2000.2.4
    OS Service rel : 2000.4.3aSR9
    OS Upgrade : 2000.4.3a
    On the Subscriber :
    OS Image 2000.2.4
    OS Service rel : 2000.4.3aSR9
    OS Upgrade : 2000.4.3a
    SQL2K SP : SP3a(1.0.6)
The SQL version is too high to allow the Publisher to be patched to SQL2k
    SP3a(1.0.6).
I have also donwloaded the SQL200 SP4 upgrade and tried installing that on the
    Publisher but this fails also.
I did try upgrading the OS on both the Pub and Sub to 2000.4.4a with
2000.4.4aSR6 but the CallManager upgrade still failed at the SQL2000 SP4
    upgrade phase of the installation.
Has anyone seen this happen before and know a solution? All suggestions very welcome.
    Keith.

SQL SP4 should be installed AFTER CallManager4.2(3) upgrading finished.
( Please refer to SQL SP4 readme.file from cisco , not from Microsoft)
Here is the basic task order:
    OS upgrade->CCM upgrade->SQL SP4 upgrade.
    My suggestion:
Restore your system to CCM3.3(5) ( find your backup data)
    Then upgrade again.
    Hope this help.
    Howard
    Please rate if this helps.
( I attached part of SQL SP4 readme file as follows:
    SQL Server 2000 Service Pack 4 - (SQL2K-ServicePack4.1-0-3.exe)
Note: If you install SQL2K SP4 on a Cisco CallManager 3.3(5), or 4.0(2a) server,
you will not be able to upgrade the server to Cisco CallManager 4.1(2) later. If such an upgrade is required, you must upgrade the server to Cisco CallManager 4.1(2) before you install SQL2K SP4
