Upgrade cost to Oracle10g

Hi ,
In the file
http://www.oracle.com/corporate/pricing/technology-price-list.pdf
there are info about the price list of all Oracle products. Apart from that , there are info about the upgrade cost. For example for Oracle10g EE the Software Upgrade per named user plus is 176$. My question is :
Is this the upgrade cost of whichever previous version of Oracle (namely , Oracle7 , Oracle8i , Oracle9i) to Oracle10g and only enterprise edition of this previous version..., i mean if there is a previous Oracle9i EE or Oracle9i SE .. the cost upgrade to Oracle10g EE is the same...???
Many thanks.
Simon

Most larger companies purchase the initial license then pay annual fees tusually set to a percentage of the software price that covers maintenance and upgrades plus at least a minimal level of support. Advanced levels of support are usually an additional fee. You may want to check on the original purchase order and see if your site is paying annual fees. The upgrade could well be free (really already paid for).

There are no keys, there is no trial version of OSX (ML or Mavericks) and Mavericks is free

  • Not happy with Adobe PE7 upgrade cost

To make a long story short I have been using PE3 until late this year due to finance issue (out of work for over a year). Finally on July 28 I upgraded so that I can use PE on my Vista computer - and although my computer is no great speed deamon (3GHz Core2 with 8GB) the reliability of PE4 has not been what I would call "quality programming". Now comes along PE7 that is supposed to finally fix things - oh yeah that will be another $120 to upgrade...

Whether the upgrade is "bug fixes" or new features is a matter of interpretation.
Most users haven't had a problem with any version. Improvements have been made each generation -- but each new version has included lots of new enhancements. Calling these enhancements and new features bug fixes is really unfair to all of us who've been using the program for nearly 5 years with no major problems.
Still, your mileage may vary. And only you can decide if these new features and enhancements are worth the upgrade cost.
Remember, next year there will be a new generation of the product, and it too will be improved in a number of ways. And then, again, you'll need to decide if it's these improvements are worth the investment.

I recently got an app ( ice age village )
And it's a great game, but when you get further on into it you have to buy acorns, and to buy some of the items you have to buy an acorn package, even the most expensive package won't get you all the items!
It's spoiling the game! Apple need to sort this! It's a kids game for gods sake!

  • What is annual upgrade cost of lightroom for indivisuals

i want to purchase online the Adobe Lightroom from link
https://creative.adobe.com/en/plans?single_app=photoshop-lightroom&store_code=in under the tab Individuals at price Rs 5988/Yr.
here i want to know what would be the annual upgrade cost ?

Since you're paying Rs 5,988 annually, perhaps you mean the annual renewal cost?
The renewal cost will be the same each year: Rs 5,988 per year, every year, unless Adobe adjusts the price but they have given no indications that the price will change yet.

  • HT201359 upgrade cost are not made visible beside the button - why?

There is a description of the upgrade but the the cost is shown only with the version number. No indication of the cost prior to selecting the button.

I went to the Apple store tonight and they swapped my 3G phone for a 4G phone for $149. That's out of warranty on a prepaid plan. This seems to be dependant on what went wrong with your phone- if it's a known problem, like battery or buttons wearing out, they'll replace it at this price, but not for accidental damage such as a broken screen. They didn't care one bit what plan I had.
In case anyone is curious, the no-contract prices for iPhones are currently as follows:
    iPhone 5:              iPhone 4S:          iPhone 4:
    16GB: $699          16GB: $599         8GB: $450
    32GB: $799
    64GB: $899
After I got my new iPhone I went to AT&T for a SIM swap. They confirmed that the go-phone plans are not supported, but according to the guy that just meant that they weren't guaranteed to work- not that they weren't permitted. He also said that basic customer support- like having a SIM card swapped- is guaranteed regardless of your plan/phone combination.

  • Old Wiring On Phoneline - Upgrade Cost?

    Hi there,
Our phone's wiring in our house is very old and I was wondering what cost it would be to upgrade it and if it would be a big job?
I have attached pictures of the wiring, which is very fragile looking.

The only way I know would to inform BTr that you have a damaged master socket and require a new line fitting. However openreach might not be so open to the work, unless it was the only viable solution to a fault. ie they'll balance the amount of work done against the benefit.
Engineer visits are usually charge at a flat rate of £130.

  • Windows 7 upgrade COSTS ?

    Hi to all.
As mentioned in other thread, I'm asking to myself if is normal that HP requires EUR 24,90 to upgrade my VISTA HOME PREMIUM to W7  (pc is a dv7-1170el). I wrote to Arvato customer support but they answered that amout required regards only shipping cost.
IMHO is too much for a dvd + ship ....
    What you think about?
    Pinus, Rome-Italy

Almost all "free" offers you still have to pay for shipping. The manufacture covers the cost of the upgrade software. You are more than welcome to go buy it off the shelf if you like.

  • Iphone6 plus upgrade costs

I am currently with 02 and I am due an upgrade. I have an iphone5 and want to upgrade to iphone6 plus. Will the new handset cost anything up front? My monthly tariff is about £45

You'll need to ask your provider. We wouldn't know. There will most likely be upfront costs.

  • Oracle 9i Upgrade Costs

I understand that there is no charge for moving from Oracle 8 to 9i. What kinds of "other" costs have people incurred? -- OS/software upgrade charges, prof srvcs charges, etc., etc.?? Any input is appreciated!

pl. how and when I can get self test software of oracle 9i from oracle website?

  • IPhone Upgrade Costs

I understand everything about subsidizing cost's and new technology and all of that. Yes, new technology will come out frequently so be prepared. It is just a shame customer loyalty gets ditched at times like this because it is largely those of us that take the first risks that get burned. I got the first iPhone, dropped it and broke the face 1 week before the 3g introduction so I got the 3g. Now I would like to get an upgrade to the 3 g s and wham, I get slammed.
The main difference now is that when my contract expires, the iPhone has much more competition than before so.............Apple & AT&T, take note, the free enterprise system is alive and well so you may want to take some well thought out steps!!

Will all you people threatening to jump ship just do it already...you're hogging my bandwidth. Go ahead and buy you a Palm Pre-sa-** and good riddance. Im sick of all the whining. ATT and Apple dont owe you. You signed the dotted line knowing this day would come. Its so predictable(every Summer) they will upgrade just enough that the same impatient people will whine for a couple of weeks and eventually pay full price to keep up with the Jones. Why is it so hard for you to just embrace the 3.0 OS and wait till a real upgrade (4G) hits next summer. You will be the one smiling as you lay down your 199 while the 3GS owner is reduced to a sniffling child because it will cost them 1000. The 3G phone will be faster with the new OS. I for one am going to download my new(FREE) 3.0 OS and wait patiently until a real upgrade happens

  • Memory upgrade costs/ types of RAM for MacBook

I want to upgrade a new macbook to 4gb (not the Macbook on my profile which is older). The cost of official Mac memory is about 500 pounds UK. The cost of 3rd party (crucial) is about 100 pounds UK. I know Apple charge extra but the difference seems extreme.
Looking closely at the specs there are some differences, e.g. apple is fully buffered, ECC - but the crucial are unbuffered, non ECC.
Is this a meaningful functional difference, that explains the cost difference? will the cheaper Crucial ones work as well as the apple ones?

I wouldn't think so. I didn't notice any any additional ICs on my factory installed Hynix modules on my Santa Rosa MacBook. All I saw were the memory ICs and an SPD EEPROM. I can check the part number when I get home, but I'm sure it's non-ECC and unbuffered.
    Got it.
Factory installed memory in my Santa Rosa MacBook were two Hynix HYMP564S64CP6-Y5 SODIMMs. Here's the spec sheet from Hynix (may need to cut and paste to a new window/tab):
    http://www.hynix.com/datasheet/pdf/module/ds512MDDR2(C-ver)basedSO-DIMMs(Rev0.4).pdf
512MB, 64Mx64, CL5@667MHz, CL-tRCD-tRP of 5-5-5. "Unbuffered" is mentioned at the top, and there's no mention of ECC.

  • Upgrade Costs Too High

Does anyone else feel that the cost for upgrades is ridiculously highly?
Adobe has a great product CS but over the past few versions, I have felt that the changes to the new versions don't warrant the $800 - 1000+ costs for the upgrades. Those prices are more warranted for new full versions, but upgrades for 1 or 2 versions back should be 1/4 of what they are charging.

    Thanks,
I did post it on the link you provided.
    have a great day.

  • Upgrade Cost from 3gs to 4?

Does anybody know how much it will cost to get out of an ATT contract for the 3GS and switch to 4?
Message was edited by: Patrick Murphy

I didn't want to start a new thread, but I'm trying to figure out when I'll be eligible for an upgrade. This is what mine says:
"As a valued AT&T customer, you may be eligible for a standard upgrade on this line, with reduced equipment pricing when signing a 2-year commitment. Click 'Upgrade Eligibility' to view your upgrade options."
And when I click on the "Check Upgrade Options," it takes me to the Premier website. I can't find my eligibility date anywhere and I get an error when I call that number...any one have any ideas?
    Thanks.
