  • When/how do i download the CS6 upgrade promised by deal on Creative Suite Design Premium CS5.5?

    Hello
I purchased from Adobe Creative Suite Design Premium CS5.5 Student Edition. The deal Adobe had promised was a free upgrade to CS6 as soon as it became available to do so, if i bought the package before a stated date, i did so and installed it. My question is how (or when) do i access my free download of CS6 versions of the software contained within Creative Suite Design Premium CS5.5. My pruchase of the product hinged on this promised free upgrade so it is very important to me to find out how/when i can expect the download.
    yours sincerely

If you purchased CS5.5 within the offer period then you might have already been upgraded to CS6. However, you don't have to worry at all.

  • Trouble with incomplete installation of Adobe Creative Suite Production Premium

    Hi,
I tried to install Adobe Creative Suite Production Premium from CD:s, but half way through the installation something went wrong and installation was abruptly interrupted and cancelled. I then went to disc 1 again to try and re-install the program, but then it says that I already have an installation (even if it is incomplete) and that I have to finish installing the one I have already started. But I cannot finish the one that is already started because I can't find any way how to continue an installation that has been started.
    What can I do?

Nobody can tell you anything without proper system info or other technical details. We don't even know what version. For starters run the cleaner tool and try again.

  • Upgrade Price Speculations Production Premium CS5.5 to CS6?

Anyone have an idea of the cost to upgrade from Production Premium CS5.5 to CS6?  Right now you can buy the updgrade from CS5 to CS5.5 for $399 + 10% off until the 15th.  If you buy the CS5 to CS5.5 upgrade now, you get CS6 for free.  Wonder if buying the CS5 to CS5.5 upgrade with a free copy of CS6 for $360 will be cheaper than the CS5.5 to CS6 upgrade.  If you are still on CS5, seems like a not brainer.  Thoughts?

Yes, maybe...maybe not? Who knows? Well...besides Adobe. And maybe Dave, but he's not interested in discussing anything today. And this is really more appropriate to the Lounge anyway.
BUT - I like your question, and I want to try to give you some advice if I can so here goes.
You're likely to see that the upgrade price for the boxed/download version of Production Premium CS6 isn't much different than what you're seeing now for the intermediate "upgrade now, save later" type offers.
For me, I'm holding on to see what the final pricing and layout is for Creative Cloud. Probably looking at that costing me a bit more over the short run based on my current Adobe purchasing history, but there's supposed to be quite a bit of extra goodness in there so probably worthwhile.
If you have a money back guarantee wherever you're purchasing, you can always buy now, don't open it, then return it in a week or so if pricing is announced and it makes a difference.
If you think you'd have a use for the Creative Cloud, you may want to wait. The preliminary pricing listed by Adobe is $49/month for annual subscribers. Maybe it'll be discounted for 1-year if you already own CS5 or CS5.5 versions of one of the suites. Dunno. Probably more info within the next 7 days.

  • Creative Suite Production Premium - *NO* Manuals

I unfortunately mis-posted this issue on a thread on another creative suite product.
I have Creative Suite 3 Production Premium and a nice large box of manuals. I LOVE the hard copy manuals. They are a nice reference when you need to find something or (gasp) read with a book in your hands.
I ordered CS4 PP and was pleased to see it arrive.....but was shocked to find a little box of media, a few cards of advertisements....and that is it!!!!
I call and was told that hard copy manuals will be available in December for something like $25 or $30!!!! And that they can be found somewhere on the media in PDF's.
I can understand a $29 piece of software doing this but for a package like this, I seriously think that reference quality manuals should be included.

I guess different people work in different ways.
I honestly never read the hard copy manuals that came with previous version
of the products. They remain shrink wrapped here somewhere. I've never found
them overly helpful and usually find the answers and explanations I'm
looking for elsewhere (books, online tutorials etc)
I suspect that Adobe surveyed the market, responded to feedback and
discontinued shipping printed manuals for cost, weight and environmental
reasons plus the fact that they're difficult to update easily, in cases of
patches, updates or errata, unlike the online livedocs.
Perhaps waiting for printed manuals to be ready may also have some impact on
shipping dates? There's also the issue of localization and translating them
    into many different languages.
Those that want them can pay a small extra fee for them.
I prefer PDF manuals on DVD, or livedocs, which I can search quickly for the
small number of items I want to look up.

  • Upgrade options for Production Premium CS5 (Education license)?

    Hello,
I purchased Production Premium CS5 late last year with an education license because I used my credentials as a college professor. Now that CS5.5 is out, what are my options, if any, for an upgrade to Production Premium CS5.5? I'm purely a casual user and don't plan to make a living with the Adobe software.
    Thanks in advance!
    Nick

Educational versions can be upgraded to Commercial versions. Usually, it is cheaper to purchase a new education license.

  • Creative Suite Web Premium CS5

Please pardon if I might be posting the query in the wrong forum. If so please let me know and I will re-post. Otherwise I would sincerely appreciate some assistance with this serious paroblem... thank you  RL
I recently had several serious machine problems and had to reinstall the OS (W7 Pro-64) of both of my desktop computers. One I could deactivate the Adobe suite but the second machine froze without being able to access any programs. I 'chatted' with someone at Adobe back in September and was told that all of the programs had been activated or whatever and I should have no problem re-installing. I re-installed Web Premium CS5 on both machines and then went through multiple updates to bring the software up to date without issue. I do not recall any updating problems until recently when I got notice of updates available for most of the program's segments. But when I try the updates they all fail. (See attached screen shot images for details...) I have tried multiple times on both machines with identical results. I started with Macromedia Flash many years ago and through Adobe's acquisition of that company/software and various updates/upgrades I have arrived at the point where CS5 seems to do exactly what I need. I just want what I have to be able get the latest updates and keep my programs current. Why can I not do updates on my legally purchased and registered Adobe software!? Mylenium, Here are the system configurations on each of my desktop computers. You were the only respondent to my post
so presumably you are the definitive source? I have had almost exclusively from poor to bad product support from Adobe on past
issues, so I am not totally surprised that you suggest 'status quo' even though ALL updates seem to fail as an acceptable solution.
NO! And, YES I am very interested in getting WHATEVER updates are available for my Adobe Web Premium CS5 Suite. So
unless you have another 'definitive' solution that actually works I will have to look elsewhere for an acceptable answer.

  • Creative Suites Production Premium questions

I recently ordered the 5.5 creative suites package & had a couple of questions.
Is it correct that I can install the software on my home system & also on another machine at work?
I was also looking into purchasing  magic bullet suite 11 , but am unsure what host I should choose.
I have FCP 7, and with the suite will have premiere CS 5.5 & After Effects as well.
Will the plug ins only be in the primary host I select upon purchase?
Or will they be in accessible for all three applications?
    THANKS

I can have it on 2 computers as long as they are only used by me & not open at the same time.
The host for Magic Bullet is for Red Giant's purposes only & I was able to access the plug insin Premiere, FCP, and AE.

  • I have problems installing Creative Suite Design premium CS5

I recently got a new mac and am installing CS5 Design Premium on it. When installing overtime it gets to 93% there's a message saying that SafariNotification needs to be closed to continue installation. Only the installer is open, so I have all applications apart from Acrobat. How can I get around this issue?

    Hi.
I have looked at this, but really don't understand how to use Activity Monitor.
I have tried reinstalling and this message come up this time (Flash player is installed):
    Exit Code: 7

FATAL: DW020: Conflicts were found in the selected payloads. Halting installation.
Any thoughts, just missing Acrobat, all other programmes installed.

  • Adobe Production Premium CS5.5 and upgrades

I already own the Adobe Production Premium CS5.5 which includes Premiere 5.5. Today I bought the upgrade from Premiere 5.5. to Premiere CS6. But this requires to type in the serial of Premiere 5.5.. But I only have the serial for the Production Suite and the installation of Premiere CS6 is not possible. What can I do?

You have to upgrade like items, a suite is not the same as an individual application.  Your only hope is going to be to talk to Adobe customer support directly to see if they will allow special consideration for your case.  Otherwise you will need to return the purchase and purchase the CS6 version of the same software you are upgrading from (Production Premium) rather than individual applications within the suite.

An upgrade is an upgrade. You need to sell them together.
