Upgrade discount to CS4

I think I had received an email which I can no longer find (it's been a
crazy past 2 weeks) about a limited time discount for upgrading to CS4
(Design Suite) from CS3. Can someone please provide me with the info or a
link to it?
Thanks.

Sorry, it is you - in this environment of rampant scams and abundant spam - who must prove yourself.
Let's see...
You joined this forum to make exactly 1 post (the "for sale" announcement above).
You posted inaccurate information.
You did not offer an explanation for why you want to sell a license.
You did not say how many licenses you have to sell.
You have an eMail address anyone can get without credentials.
Your eMail username and your Adobe username mismatch by a changed number.
This is not a forum on which people normally post things for sale.
I'd sure be skeptical of sending you $100 based on what I've read above.

No, but it may help the chances of a successful installation.

Just as an aside - I have been getting messages on here from Adobe Admin saying that CS5 cannot be reinstalled because everything is now in the cloud and that for $350 I can buy CS6 to install on my new computer.  What?  Am I getting spammed on Adobe's site here?
    Where did you see that?

    Mac OS 10.8.5
None of these issues are causing the error in DW CS6. We have double checked all of them and we have everything exactly right. Also I have exactly the same SiteSetup in DW CS4 and that works perfectly well. Could there must be factor in 6 that didn't exist in 4? Something that isnt in the SiteSetup but in some hidden dialog box ?
I can also upload to my host using Fetch, a third party FTP. And as I said DW CS4 works fine. So the problem is not with my host, its with DW CS6 in particular.

Thank you Jon, that fixed it perfectly. You have saved me from going crazy. The only difference I see now is in "Server Name" it changed what I had entered (my ftp address) to "Remote Server"; which seems odd -- but it works!   Although I know there maybe also some other dialog box I have never seen
Of course I saw that menu item "Import"  and but I thought thats obviously not for me: "Why would I want to import an entire website?". I did not however see "Export the selected site" for thats only a tiny icon in the footer. However I would have thought the same:  "Why would I want to export my entire website?".
An observation: I've seen this problem in a lot of Adobe software, the menu-names of items are  obscure, non descriptive. What would be better would be for the menu names or popups to say "Export Site Setup settings" and "Import Site Setup settings"

I just upgraded from PS cs4 to cs6. All of my files open up viewing at .0625% - which is very irritating. How can I change this?

Are you on a Mac or PC?  If the former, do you have the Application Frame visible?
Could you post a screenshot of how Photoshop CS6 looks when you first open an image and have it show at the tiny size?
Chances are you've made the main Photoshop window small, which is causing it to try to fit a newly opened image in too small a space.
I'm going to make a wild guess that you're on a Mac, and have dragged the bottom edge of the Photoshop window up instead of turning off the Application Frame, so as to be able to see your desktop.

  • Upgrade discount amount ?

I am eligible for New Every Two and my upgrade discount is $50. I was talking to a buddy who is also eligible but gets $100 discount on the same exact phones.  WTH ?   They just give some people better deals than others ?   Not fair

If he's getting the $100, he's been around for a while and has not upgraded in a long time(several years). Or he hasn't tried using the discount in a few years and doesn't realize it's been reduced to $50 on the last contract he agreed to.

  • Upgrade to Indesign CS4 from Pagemaker

I have a Windows PC with Pagemaker 6.5 installed, which is listed as an eligible product to upgrade to Indesign CS4. However, on installation the only options presented for upgrade are CS, CS2, and CS3. What steps do I need to take to complete the installation as an upgrade to Pagemaker?
    Thank you

You bought the wrong upgrade. Call Adobe and see if they can help.

  • Upgrading plugins from CS4 to CS5

If I upgrade from Photoshop CS4 to CS5, can I simply copy all my plugins from the CS4 plugin folder to the CS5 one? I am assuming here that my plugins are compatible with both versions of Photoshop.

The short answer is yes and no.
Some plugins must be reinstalled, and those may not know about CS5 without an update from their manufacturer.  SOMETIMES you can identify all the supporting files and copy them as well, but this gets tricky.
Others - those that are self-contained and don't install any supporting DLLs, need registry entries, etc. - can be copied.
A rule of thumb is that if you copied a file into the plug-ins folder to start with, you can probably copy it to the new version of Photoshop.  From what I can see CS5 is very compatible with older plug-ins (keeping in mind that 32 bit plug-ins work only with 32 bit Photoshop CS5, and 64 bit plug-ins work only with 64 bit Photoshop).
Never, but never point the Additional Plug-ins Folder setting at the old Photoshop installation, because there are Adobe-provided plug-ins that will conflict.

  • Upgrading from InDesign CS4 to CS5.5

How much would it cost to upgrade from InDesign CS4 to CS5.5

There is no longer any official upgrade for any version of InDesign. The only offerings from Adobe now are Creative Cloud subscriptions (which currently provide access to both CC and CS6 versions), or purchasing a perpetual license for CS6, at full price, with the understanding that CS6 is considered "feature complete" and will not receive any further updates and may not work on the next OS releases or new generations of hardware.

  • Upgrading to Indesign CS4, working in CS2

I am currently running Indesign CS2 and will be upgrading to CS4. I have clients who still need to open CS2 files from me and I don't have CS3 to continue saving down the inx file.
Do upgrades install independently, that is if I upgrade to Indesign CS4, can I still start up as CS2 and save CS2 files? I thought I read this somewhere, but I guess I need confirmation. I understand that I cannot save CS4 and expect to open in CS2. Just want a chance to work on select projects within CS2 while being upgraded.
    Thx.

I have the full version of CS2. My question is if I upgrade to CS4, can I choose to start a new document in inDesign CS2, work in CS2, and save as a CS2 file. That is why I asked if upgrades are installed independently, or if when I upgrade, CS4 overwrites my CS2 and I'm forced to always be working in CS4. I called customer service and received a rather "wimpy" answer which turned out to be incorrect.
I appreciate any feedback from anyone who has upgraded. thanks.

  • How can I upgrade from Photoshop CS4 to Cs 5 or 6 without buying the creative cloud?

How can I upgrade from Photoshop CS4 to Cs 5 or 6 without buying the creative cloud?

    Well CS5's ship has sailed.
CS6 can still be purchased on Perpetual License but it's not going to have all the bells & whistles that the current versions have.  Just as long as you understand what you're getting.

  • Upgrade to Illustrator CS4 from CS

I currently have cs, i upgraded to Illustraor CS4 but upon installation, it is not excepting my serial number. I had to use a trail. Customer Service is of course closed. Does anyone know what I can do?
    Thanks!
    Dina

    Hello Dina,
yep, that is the level of service and performance you will get from Illustrator Team.
Do you know that Adobe knows that there are problems with its installers, but Adobe still refuses to provided updates. I can almost guarantee you that Adobe will blame your OS. (John Nack, Principal Product Manager, Adobe Photoshop, said it: http://blogs.adobe.com/jnack/2008/12/notes_from_installer_mgmt.html#more)
Adobe is not providing updates for illustrator since 09/04/2007 (ALMOST 3 YEARS AGO!). I really do not know why still selling a bad software.
Maybe tomorrow you can ask them why?

  • Upgrading to DreamWeaver CS4

Dont think I need the other pieces and would like to save the
    $500.

    What are you upgrading from?
If you own a suite, you cannot upgrade just Dreamweaver. You
    have to upgrade
    the entire suite.
If it's just DWMX 2004, 8 or CS3 that you own and you want to
    upgrade to DW
CS4 then the upgrade options are shown on the Adobe website.

  • Upgrading to Flash CS4

I believe that my copy of Flash 8 Pro may not be legit, but I would like to upgrade to Flash CS4. Does anyone know if the upgrade will work?
    Thanks.

Well, I'm not clear on what your goal is here. First you
wrote that you want to cut encoding time (which would be something
you'd do in the Adobe Media Encoder in CS4.. it's a total rebuild
of what was the Flash Video Encoder... it's a lot faster at
    encoding.)
On the other side of the question you're asking about
streamlining this work by updating to CS4..
If you're using the video components, I can tell you that to
take advantage of h.264 (or any of the other formats supported by
FP9 update 3 and FP10) you're going to need to be authoring in
either CS3 or CS4. Because you have to have those to get the
components and API's that support h.264. And you'll have to publish
the SWF's for Flash Player 9 to take advantage of those updates.
Here's an h.264 article that might help:
    http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flashplayer/articles/hd_video_flash_player_02.html
So this is one case where I'd say CS4 will pay for itself,
primarily in encoding time wih the new AME (however, I should not
that there are 3rd party tools that can do that encoding too..
    mentioned in the above article).
On the CS4 authoring side, you'd at least get the most recent
version of the video components (assuming you're using them).
That said, if I were doing this work I'd be examining my
workflows to see if there was some way I could use JSFL or a
custom-built flash component to automate the process. Without
knowing more specifically what you're doing it's hard to advise..

  • Still possible to upgrade to AE CS4?

I'm still a CS3 user who had planned to upgrade to CS5 this fall.  Just got a job that would like me to deliver projects to a broadcast network who uses CS4 and they are not willing to upgrade to CS5.  So for the time being I have to problem upgrading AE to CS4 for a couple months.  I just can't find any way to purchase an upgrade from 3 to 4 on the Adobe site anywhere.  Seems like only CS5 is for sale.  Any recommendations?

The Production Premium and Master Collection editions of CS5 also come with After Effects CS4 and Premiere Pro CS4, to enable people with 32-bit operating systems to upgrade to the CS5 suite while still having a version of After Effects and Premiere Pro.

  • Can i get my att upgrade discount if i pre order iphone 5 through apple?

i want to pre order new iphone 5... was wondering if i use apple.com if i will be able to get it for the upgrade discounted price or if i have to go through att to get it?

I had the same question. Yes, you can order the iPhone through the Apple online or Retail store. They have the ability to check your eligibilty during the order and apply your discounted price. I just confirmed this by calling 1-800-MY-APPLE. Additionally, you can go the online Apple Store > Shop iPhone > iPhone 5 (link below) and you can even check your eligibility there - proving that apple has that capability ;-)
