Upgrade EBS 11.5.10.2 from HP-UX to Linux R12.1.3 including the database

Hello All
I know there are other threads with the same question and i have been to almost all of them. Somehow i am still not able to understand it
So i am posting it here. Sorry about that
Upgrade EBS 11.5.10.2 from HP-UX to Linux R12.1.3 including the database from 10.2.0.3 HP-UX to Linux x86-64 11.2.0.3
First thing is we would like to keep our production system untouched even during the go live in case of any failures we can fallback to old HP-UX systems
We have three servers
SERVER 1 :- DATABASE, concurrent manager and admin node
SERVER 2 :- FORMS, WEB, REPORT and DISCOVERER
SERVER 3 :- iSupplier Portal for external users with forms and web
The new system would like
SERVER 1 :- DATABASE NODE
SERVER 2:- CONCURRENT, ADMIN, FORMS, WEB, REPORT and DISCOVERER
SERVER 3:- iSupplier Portal for external users
I believe the first step should be creating a 10.2.0.3 database on Linux. Install 10.2.0.3 software on Linux.
Export from hp-ux using note 362205.1 and import it on Linux. This will create my Oracle Applications 11i database with data.
Once this is complete for the application tier we would like to move from multi node to single node. I was following the note 238276.1 but it is not very clear how do i copy
concurrent node from server 1 and server 2 with forms, web, report and discoverer to single Linux server ?
Also for the iSupplier server 3 how does the steps follow ?
Can someone please provide some steps in detail ?
Also please correct me if i am wrong on the database part.
Thanks

I am at Clone the AutoConfig XML context file on the Target System from note 238276.1

  • Recovery from 3.6.16 crash that appeared to corrupt the database

A few days ago, I tried several Xmarks for Firefox synchronizations, and got a Firefox crash. The Firefox crash appears to have corrupted the Firefox database enough that an Xmarks for Firefox download won't complete.
What other recovery methods should I try?
The add-ons I use frequently do not appear to work well enough with Firefox 4 yet to switch to it.
I've been unable to find enough information on having both Firefox 3.6 and Firefox 4 on the same computer to guess whether having both at once would make then interfere with each other.
I use multiple browsers, so switching to a synchronizer that cannot handle cross-browser synchronizations to IE and Chrome is not acceptable.
Both the Xmarks server and Firefox on my other computer have copies of the bookmark set I need to restore (about 19,200 of them).

You should have separate Profiles for 3.6 and4.0.
Create a new profile exclusively for 4.0 and create a desktop shortcut with -P "profile" appended to the target to launch that profile.

  • Upgrading to Lookout 6.7.1 from version 5.1 on new computer

    Hi
We recently upgraded to Lookout 6.7.1 from version 5.1 (build 8). We copied the
database, Source Files, Process Files from the old computer to the new
computer. We also attached the database in NI Max. We then updated the files
when we opened them in the new version 6.7.1. We now are missing data and we
are experiencing issues with the following:
    1. No Trends are trending
    2. We have a screen named Instruments Settings but the numeric values are not
    displaying
    3. We have tried changing the numeric values for the Instruments Settings but
they will not write to the database
    4. We have tried the Revise Potentionmeter but it is not writing to the  Remote
    URL
    5. The Data Member Configuration is not editable
    Below are screen shots:
Thank you for any assistance you can provide.

    HI Bob
The database conversion did complete successfully. The alarms are showing because the datapoints are not registering correctly and such the min and max are setting off the alarms. Some devices are working while others are not. Seems to be about half of the devices are working. I have little Lookout experience. I have enough knowledge to put up a Lookout PC and move the data/files. The last move went okay but this one has been difficult at best. Luckily I still have the "old" setup working and can fall back when the attempts to get the new one does not work successfully.I have found the proper way to edit the data points individually but this would be very tedious and prone to errors. I would like to think there is some connetion that has not converted to the new version and I need to find and fix that connection, but again I don't have the required knowledge for that.
    Your thoughts?
    Thank you for your reply.

  • SE14 Status-UPGRADE-Table does not exist in the database

    Folks,
I have created a ztable with SPRAS and few Char fields and generated a table maintenance generator. In the Dev it is working fine but when I moved the TR to Q TR ended up with errrors "Generation of Programs and Screens".When I check in Q in SE11 I am able to see the table but with an error message "Table doesn't exist in the database".
SE14 Status for this table is getting shown as UPGRADE in Q.
Can anyone here throw some light on what exactly this status UPGRADE means and how it gets set in SE14.
In DEV,I had checked the DATABASE OBJECT>>CHECK>DISPLAY and RUNTIME OBJECT>>CHECK>>DISPLAY and it is showing Database object is consistent but where as the same in Q is showing "Table is not created in the Database".
    K.Kiran.

    Hi.
Is Q system is newly copied? Also please check the transport order of the table creation request. Also check whether pwd of the DB user is locked?

    Hi,
By following Interoperability Notes Oracle EBS 11i with Oracle Database 11gR2 (11.2.0.1) [ID 1265268.1]
i am doing a test upgrade.
As part of upgrade, only the oracle home location is changed. sid, host and port all are same as previous.
After running dbua, for autoconfig, changing the OH path in xml file and run autoconfig is fine? or any other steps are needed?
    Thanks,

    Hi,
Could you please tell us which step you are refering to in the document. During upgrade you do not have to change the ORACLE HOME any where in XML file
But you need to run perl adbldxml.pl
As mentioned in step 22 of "Interoperability Notes Oracle EBS 11i with Oracle Database 11gR2 (11.2.0.1) [ID 1265268.1]"
    On application tier
         Source the env file

    Copy appsutil.zip to $ORALCE_HOME/.
    Unzip –o appsutil.zip
    cp –r $11g oracle home <which came with rapidwiz> $ORACLE_HOM/appsutil/jre
    On the database tier
    Source database env file
    Export JRE_TOP=$ORACLE_HOME/appsutil/jre
    $cd $ORACLE_HOME/appsutil/bin
    $perl adbldxml.pl
    $sh adconfig.sh

  • Upgrading eBS 12.1.1 - 12.1.3, adpatch hangs on AR_GTA_CONSOL_TEMP.xdf

    Hi all,
Having just successfully upgraded my eBS environment from 12.0.6 -> 12.1.1, I'm now trying to get from 12.1.1 to 12.1.3.
I'm running patch 9239090, and everything was running just fine, till it hit AR_GTA_CONSOL_TEMP.xdf. My upgrade has been 'hung' on this file for well over an hour (perhaps approaching 2 hours now), and nothing seems to be happening.
Looking from O/S, the app server box seems to be very idle, load average around 0.1 to 0.4. I see lots of 'java' processes, but they all seem to be pretty idle. The database server also seems to be idle.
I'm not sure if it's truly hung, or just running really slow.
I tried both google and MOS searches, but had no luck finding any information on this issue.
Oh, if it matters, platform/OS is Linux-x86-64/RHEL5.7.
Any clues, ideas, or pointers, would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    -Mark

I'm still very new to eBS support.
    Thanks,
