Hi Hussein thanks for you help.
I open the SR. and this corresponds to the cn module (Oracle Incentive Compensation). I'm not using it.
This can be verified by running the @$AD_TOP/sql/adutconf.sql with apps squema.
output:
CN Inactive 12.0.0 R12.CN.A.6 03-Apr-2013
I skip this with the 8 option in the adctrl.
Thanks & Regards
Luis

    Thank You,

    Hi,
Yes all of my worker logs are giving same error.
In one of your thread i read that "You need to apply R12.AD.B.1 (Patch 7461070) before applying 12.1.1 Maintenance Pack."
So i applied this pack successfully.
Also i ran adpatch with options=prereq. and i got the below warning :
    AutoPatch warning:
option: "prereq" is not supported on R12
So i applied Patch 7461070 and then started with patch 7303030.
    Thank You,

    Hello,
we are running EBS 11.5.10.2 with 11.2.0.2 database. Now we are planing to upgrade only application from 11.5.10.2 to R12.1.3.
Are there any issues in upgrading application from 11.5.10.2 to R12.1.3 , I heard that we can not upgrade application to R12.1.3 with 11.2.0.2 ,is it true.

  • Upgrade EBS 11.5.10.2 from HP-UX to Linux R12.1.3 including the database

    Hello All
I know there are other threads with the same question and i have been to almost all of them. Somehow i am still not able to understand it
So i am posting it here. Sorry about that
Upgrade EBS 11.5.10.2 from HP-UX to Linux R12.1.3 including the database from 10.2.0.3 HP-UX to Linux x86-64 11.2.0.3
First thing is we would like to keep our production system untouched even during the go live in case of any failures we can fallback to old HP-UX systems
    We have three servers
SERVER 1 :- DATABASE, concurrent manager and admin node
SERVER 2 :- FORMS, WEB, REPORT and DISCOVERER
SERVER 3 :- iSupplier Portal for external users with forms and web
    The new system would like
    SERVER 1 :- DATABASE NODE
SERVER 2:- CONCURRENT, ADMIN, FORMS, WEB, REPORT and DISCOVERER
SERVER 3:- iSupplier Portal for external users
I believe the first step should be creating a 10.2.0.3 database on Linux. Install 10.2.0.3 software on Linux.
Export from hp-ux using note 362205.1 and import it on Linux. This will create my Oracle Applications 11i database with data.
Once this is complete for the application tier we would like to move from multi node to single node. I was following the note 238276.1 but it is not very clear how do i copy
concurrent node from server 1 and server 2 with forms, web, report and discoverer to single Linux server ?
Also for the iSupplier server 3 how does the steps follow ?
Can someone please provide some steps in detail ?
Also please correct me if i am wrong on the database part.
    Thanks

    Hi Experts,
During R12.1.1 upgrade from 11.5.10.2 adworker for patch u6678700.drv fails for afopp002.sql
The exact error being faced is
    sqlplus -s APPS/***** @/u03/oracle/CRP1PROD/apps/apps_st/appl/fnd/12.0.0/patch/115/sql/afopp002.sql &un_fnd &pw_fnd

    ORA-06512: at line 15
I even tried restarting the worker, bounced the database and even tried running u03/oracle/CRP1PROD/apps/apps_st/appl/fnd/12.0.0/patch/115/sql/afopp002.sql manually which hangs for indefinitely.
    Any suggestion.

    Hi Srini,
Let me walk you through briefly regarding the upgrade process:
Initially the existing instance was 11.5.10.2 with 9.2.0.6 database.Last year the database was upgraded to 11.2.0.1 and configured with 11.5.10.2
However the 11g database upgrade steps specifically for EBS 11i(interoperatibility notes for 11i with 11g database) was not followed properly.
And one of the major key issue identified was the 11g Example CD was not installed on top of 11g software during database upgrade.Which is the pre-req for 11g upgrade in EBS
And as per my experience it creates issues during R12 upgrade (patch u6678700) and giving errors pertaining to oracle text error.
SR was raised for the same and was suggested, since there is no other option kindly install the Oracle 11g software and on top of that 11g Example CD and map the 11g database and go ahead with the R12 upgrade.
Now coming back to the core issue being faced, Pre-req followed properly. No errors in alert logs.
Can missing the Example CD installtion be the issue?
    Regards,
    Aman Vats

By following Interoperability Notes Oracle EBS 11i with Oracle Database 11gR2 (11.2.0.1) [ID 1265268.1]
i am doing a test upgrade.
As part of upgrade, only the oracle home location is changed. sid, host and port all are same as previous.
After running dbua, for autoconfig, changing the OH path in xml file and run autoconfig is fine? or any other steps are needed?
    Thanks,

    Hi,
Could you please tell us which step you are refering to in the document. During upgrade you do not have to change the ORACLE HOME any where in XML file
But you need to run perl adbldxml.pl

  • Upgrading eBS 12.1.1 - 12.1.3, adpatch hangs on AR_GTA_CONSOL_TEMP.xdf

    Hi all,
Having just successfully upgraded my eBS environment from 12.0.6 -> 12.1.1, I'm now trying to get from 12.1.1 to 12.1.3.
I'm running patch 9239090, and everything was running just fine, till it hit AR_GTA_CONSOL_TEMP.xdf. My upgrade has been 'hung' on this file for well over an hour (perhaps approaching 2 hours now), and nothing seems to be happening.
Looking from O/S, the app server box seems to be very idle, load average around 0.1 to 0.4. I see lots of 'java' processes, but they all seem to be pretty idle. The database server also seems to be idle.
I'm not sure if it's truly hung, or just running really slow.
I tried both google and MOS searches, but had no luck finding any information on this issue.
Oh, if it matters, platform/OS is Linux-x86-64/RHEL5.7.
Any clues, ideas, or pointers, would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    -Mark

    Hi Hussein,
Once again, your guidance proves to be extremely useful and accurate.
Apparently, the worker, 12 in this case, encountered an error.
Here's the last few lines of the log file:

So, not really sure where to go from here....
also, since the worker got an error, shouldn't it have status 'Failed' instead of 'Running'?
If there a way to force 'Failed' state? adctrl?
I'm still very new to eBS support.
    Thanks,

  • What are the steps to Upgrade EBS 11.5.10.2 (RDBMS : 11.2.0.2) to EBS 12.1

    Hi,
We plan to Upgrade from EBS 11.5.10.2 to EBS 12.1 (Last Release)
    Our architecture :
    - 2 Nodes Application Tiers : Apache + Forms
    - 2 Nodes Application Tiers : Concurrent Managers + Reports
-> Those Nodes are on Linux RedHat 5.5 - Shared APPL_TOP
    - 1 Node DbTier 11.2.0.2 on HP-UX Itanium 11
What are the Pre-requisits , Best Practices , White Papers , Step by Steps ... to accomplish this Upgrade ?
    Regards,

This was discussed many times in the forum before, please see old threads for details -- https://forums.oracle.com/forums/search.jspa?threadID=&q=Upgrade+11i+to+R12&objID=c3&dateRange=all&userID=&numResults=15&rankBy=10001

  • Upgrade EBS 11i(10.2.0.5) on HPUX to EBS R12(11.2.0.3) on linux

We have EBS 11.5.10.2 on HPUX with 10.2.0.5 database. We want to migrate and upgrade it to EBS 12.1.3 with 11.2.0.3 database.
    We also have 10.1.4.3 SSO.
    Our approach is:
    First Phase:
    1) From source(HPUX) take export(expdp) backup of 10g database.
    2) Install 11.2.0.3 database on Target ie,on Linux server.
    3) Import database on target 11g database.
    4) Link 11g(Linux) database with 11i(HPUX) application
    5) Re-Integrate SSO with 11g database.
    Second Phase:
    1)Pre upgrade steps on 11g database(linux)
2)Install file system of EBS 12.1.1 on linux with upgrade.
    3) Upgarde steps
    4) Post upgarde steps.
    Is it feasible? Please suggest.

    1) Is expdp/impdp is better than transaportable tablespace?I have been using export/import for long time and never had issues with it. The transportable tablespace is a new concept and it became certified with 11i/R12 not long time ago.
    2) We also want to change the characterset on target database from US7ASCII to UTF8/ AL32UTF8/ AL16UTF16 to support multiple languages. We are planning to manually change the script created by expdp utility as per the doc 557738.1.So,is it work in our case or should we follow some other steps to change the characterset? It should be OK. However, I would suggest you log a SR and confirm the same with Oracle support -- Changing the NLS_CHARACTERSET to AL32UTF8 / UTF8 (Unicode) [ID 260192.1]
    3) What should be the characterset to support multiple languages.Which one is best in UTF8/ AL32UTF8/ AL16UTF16?AL32UTF8

    4) As in my first phase i will deregister the 10g SSO from 10gdatabase and register it with 11g database? So,should it work.If yes, then how to de-register and register the SSO?
5)How to migrate the 10g SSO from hpux to linux?Cloning SSO-Enabled Environments in E-Business Suite [ID 1123843.1]
