Upgrade failure to 11.1.102.63

Today I was having problems viewing Flash video on Firefox so I checked for possible upgrades and turned out Flash had one available. I tried to upgrade to 11.1.102.3 and no matter how many times I did when I restarted Firefox I get this message when I check my plugins:
Missing FLASH?
For your safety, Firefox has disabled your outdated version of Flash. Please upgrade to the latest version.
The problem occurs for IE also, the player won't actual install despite it opening a browser saying that the install was sucessful.
I've noted that there's a similar thread below about this issue and the correct answer was to do a clean install after running an uninstaller but that individual was running a 32bit XP system.
I'm running Windows 7 64bit with Firefox 10.2 and IE 9.0.
I wanted to see if there was something different that needed to be done for my system, especially regarding deleted specific files in folders after the unistallation.
Thanks.

After doing a little more research, I decided to try the clean install myself.
It worked perfectly and I'm back up and running with Youtube again.
Thanks. This forum is great.
But I can't understand why the coders at Adobe keep putting out the Flash player with these issues.

  • Memory upgrade on Satellite NB10t-A-102

    Hello,
on NB10t-A-102 I want to change the memory and increase in 8GB or 16GB
    Can we make this change?

    Hi
According notebook specification RAM can be upgraded up to 4GB and obviously with 4GB RAM inside it is already on the maximum.
Unfortunately on this forum we don't have much info about this new machine but in the past we have discussed about older models with maximum 1GB RAM but at the end it was possible to upgrade it.
If nobody can help you with this I recommend you to try upgrade with 8GB RAM and check how it works. RAM part number that you should test is PA5104U-1M8G.
    If possible send some feedback.

  • Calendar upgrade failure, how can I reset the new calendar

Upgrading to the new v4 calendar on MobileMe has been a complete failure. Currently have a ticket open with Apple support, the upgrade failed with a "catastrophic failure message", my data was not fully transferred, etc.
I need to reset the new calendar, clear it completely, then reimport data from my v3 calendar from a backup to see if it will work. Any clues? There appears to be zero data on this.
Apple you really dropped the ball on quality control on this....

Launch Photos again, but hold down the alt/options key ⌥ while double clicking the Photos icon to launch the app. This will bring up the library chooser panel. select the library that you want to migrate to Photos.
After Photos completed the conversion, open the Preferences and select the new library as the main system library on the General tab of the Preferences.
Then you can delete the other migrated Photos library.

  • Upgrade failure(dbua) from 8i to 10g on solaris

    Hi,
current version is 8.1.7.4 and trying to upgrade to 10.2.0.1 which is already been installed.
I am running dbua from 10ghome/bin
I have changed the oracle_home to 10g also
when I am trying to install by using dbua, after clicking on the finish button
it is getting failed by throwing the error at pre upgrade step.
ORA-0178: failure in processing system parameters while upgrading
    Please assist me
    Regards,
    RB

    Hi User,
It seems to me that you just want the upgrade done as fast as you could without really putting enough thoughts and understanding of the whole upgrade process. What metalink note are you following? Did you check the "Database Upgrade Guide"?
There are two scripts to run to check all your settings before the upgrade. Please search metalink for "upgrade" procedures for the details.
The errors you are encountering are mostly caused by obsolete parameters used in 8i or new parameters in 10g not acceptable in 8i.
    Please provide error log.

  • Upgrade failure, then restore failure, error code is 1604

IOS 5.01 upgrade to IOS 5.1 failure and can't restart, then restore failure and the error code is 1604

Error 1604: This error is often related to USB timing. Try changing USB ports, uninstalling and reinstalling USB ports, and other available USB troubleshooting steps (troubleshooting USB connections, device not recognized properly, computer won't recognize a FireWire or USB device). If you are using a dock, bypass it and connect directly to the white Apple USB dock connector cable. If the issue persists on a known-good computer, the device may need service.
If the issue is not resolved by USB isolation troubleshooting, and another computer is not available, try these steps to resolve the issue:
Connect the device to iTunes, confirm that the device is in Recovery Mode. If it's not in Recovery Mode, put it into Recovery Mode.
Restore and wait for error 1604.
    When prompted, click OK.
Close and reopen iTunes while iPhone remains connected.
iPhone should now be recognized in Recovery Mode again.
    Try to restore again.
If the steps above do not resolve the issue, try restoring using a known-good USB cable, computer, and network connection.

  • Upgrade failure

    Hi experts,
I am deploying a new WSA, but seem unable to upgrade AsyncOS - when I check for available upgrades, I receive the following error:
    Error
    Failure downloading upgrade list.
Everything else seems to be OK - I have time via the default NTP servers, checks for new feature keys return a success, policy trace returns what I would expect.
I have noticed that the feature keys the client purchased are listed as Active with 30 days remaining and an expiration date of Dormant.
Does the appliance license need to be activated? I can't seem to locate a Claim Certificate to find the PAK...
    Thanks.

    Hi,
The status Dormant means that the feature is currently not being used by the Device e.g as the HTTPS Proxy status shows Dormant this generally means that the device is currently not using this feature.

    Thanks in advance.

Hi take a look at this:
Symptom: Software upgrade of CUE fails with the following error message: Error: Required Subsystem ID e2497725-368d-48b5-a7d5-7f87d889a608 was not found either on Installed or Candidate list.
    Conditions:
    1) CUE was shipped from Cisco with version 7.0.1 or later.
    2) One of the following upgrades is done:
    •7.0.x -> 7.1.x
    •7.1.x -> 8.0.x
    •7.0.x -> 8.0.x.
Workaround: The workaround is to first remove a dummy subsystem using the following CLI command in exec mode, allow the system to reboot, and then do the upgrade: "software uninstall uid-list 26bd663c-3e5a-43d9-a6c3-5441ce44941b".

  • Impossible to start the desktop environment after upgrade failure

Hello, after a long time without doing upgrades on my archlinux, I tried it once today. The upgrade failed, there were some packages conflit. Then nautilus and terminal were unable to be launched, so I restarted my PC. But when it's supposed to display the login window, the screen became black with a little clock instead of the mouse point.
Anyone can tell me how can I recovery my desktop environnement please?
If it isn't possible, how can I copy my data on a USB disk?
    Thank you.

First question, is the gdm daemon in your rc.conf or your inittab?
If it is in the inittab, then append the number 3 to the end of the grub kernel init string. This will boot to runlevel 3, and leave you in a text console.
If it is in rc.conf...well, if you can Ctrl+Alt+Bkspc out of the X session with the little clock, then just run from the console, then that's easy. Otherwise switch to another console (Ctrl+Alt+F1) and log in, then try doing
    killall gdm
As a last resort, you can always boot to single user by putting 1 at the end of the grub init string instead of 3.
After you are in the console, then try doing xinit /usr/bin/gnome-session and see if it works. If not, then you can try rolling back packages and whatnot.
Also, check /var/log/pacman.log and paste the failures you got.

  • ITunes 8.1 for Windows Upgrade Failure

Upgraded from iTunes v8.0.1.11 to v8.1.0.52. Installation went fine, rebooted machine and experienced failure on iTunes startup with an invalid Library reference. Tried to uninstall new version and reinstall previous. Again it failed due to a newer format of "iTunes Library.itl" file. Followed support recommendation to delete file, move XML counterpart to desktop to import and recreate, but doesn't work, itunes crashes with error before I have an opportunity to fix.

  • Contact list without moods in upgrade to 7.7.85.102

Hi. Skype keeps asking me to upgrade from 6.16.0.105 to now 7.7.85.102 I have accepted several times but each upgrade loses one of my most useful features - that is that each contact in my contacts list shows their "mood" ie i can tell what they have posted as their mood message - useful things like where they are etc.  The upgrades show the same contact list but no moods.  I cannot find any reference to this on the web but i will not be upgrading from 6.16 if there is no solution - ideas anyone?

Thanks for that - I am not getting 1, for contacts under the contacts list.  Not sure why. I get this in 7.7Instead of this in 6.16

    Hi,
    1. Is it OK to upgrade to SWLC3750K9-5-2-193-0.aes ? or do I need to go through 4.2 first ?
ANS - Yes you have to upgrade to 4.2 first and then to 5.2, here is the doc..
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/wireless/controller/release/notes/crn52xgmr1.html#wp233853
    2. Will that code upgrade the bootloader at the same time?
ANS - Yes, after upgrading the WLC code upgrade the boot loader.. the boot loader is 5.2.157 (BOOT)
    3. How can I make sure there is enough flash space on the WLC?
ANS - Dont worry.. we have enough flash!!
    4. Are there any special considerations to plan/prepare for?
ANS - Yes, please upgrade the WLC in a planned , scheduled maitenance window.
The DHCP issue is failure of associated clients to get an IP address with this message found in WLC debugging:

  • 3.0 upgrade failure with Error 1604

Just tried to make the upgrade - downloaded, backed-up, etc. Got as far as the RESTORE finalisation and eventually was told "cannnot restore - unknown error 1604".
Now my iPhone doesn't work - it just shows a black screen with white USB cable plus an image of iTunes. Tried reset (Home + Sleep button pressing), but that doesn't do anything.
I've re-attached the iPhone, followed the RESTORE instructions in iTunes, but always the same error comes back eventually - "cannnot restore - unknown error 1604".
I've tried re-installing iTunes, Apple Mobile Device, etc. but no it makes no difference.

Ok this has become totally ridiculous. I've spent the last 5 hours trying to fix my iphone all because I went to update to 3.0
I didn't do anything wrong, the files were all from apple and not corrupted.
I finally managed to restore via my laptop and yet when I try to get my settings back on my phone from what I have saved on my desktop, it breaks again and I have to start all over.
    This is so ()&U)*(&@)*(&@()@ stupid!!!!
So the last few months of customizing and backing up my iphone is all lost due to some bullsh*t that apple screwed up?
I guess I should have gotten a Zune.
Anyways, this thread is barely useful... I wish you guys would clarify a little bit.
Like what vette asked in reference to Kleckerei's second post... *** is the file name?
I'm so ****** off right now... months and months of saved contacts, notes, games, apps, etc... GONE and I backed up EVERY **** TIME I plugged in my iphone.
This is the ultimate failure in the entire history of phone manufacturers.

  • SharePoint Server 2013 Upgrade failure after Updating SP1 + Nov10 CU " Exception of type 'Microsoft.SharePoint.Upgrade.SPUpgradeException' was thrown"

After Successfully having SharePoint Server 2013 Farm Installation on 2 Servers AD + Central Admin Application server, OS: win server 2008 R2 Ent SP1.
I set up the configuration for SharePoint app and Workflow Manager to work properly on the Den environment,  the time for SP1 running has come and after downloading the Service pack 1 of SharePoint server 2013 and completing the wizard, I run the SharePoint
2013 Configuration Wizard after installing SharePoint 2013 SP1, and the wizard failed on step 2 with the Error from the Log file as showing below,
"Task upgradebootstrap has failed with an unknown exception
    01/04/2015 00:43:30  11  ERR                  Exception: Microsoft.SharePoint.Upgrade.SPUpgradeException: Exception of type 'Microsoft.SharePoint.Upgrade.SPUpgradeException' was thrown.

       at Microsoft.SharePoint.PostSetupConfiguration.UpgradeBootstrapTask.Run()
       at Microsoft.SharePoint.PostSetupConfiguration.TaskThread.ExecuteTask()"
Also I was not able to create websites like before, and the creating of new site is failed with error message :
"Failed to call GetTypes on assembly Microsoft.Office.TranslationServices, Version=15.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=71e9bce111e9429c. Method not found: 'Microsoft.Office.Web.Common.ProcessImageInfo"
Is there any solution to my problem with SP1 of SharePoint Server 2013, I don't think that SP1 should generate such bugs in a stable environment.

    Hi Basel,
What edition of SharePoint do you have and what patch did you attempt to install?
If you are on SharePoint 2013 Enterprise, please make sure you are installing Service Pack 1 for SharePoint Server:
    http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=42544
If you are on SharePoint 2013 Foundation, please make sure you are installing  Service Pack 1 for SharePoint Foundation :

  • NI-DAQmx 7.5 upgrade failure causes MAX seizure?

I have just attempted to upgrade my NI-DAQmx from 7.3 to 7.5 by
downloading and running the driver per the install.txt.  After an
apparently successful install, MAX locks up as it is trying to
start.  All I get is the splash screen.  Any suggestions?

    You can actually simulate 1600.
When you select to Simulate a device, expand the SCXI Chassis section
and select the chassis you will be using. In the next dialog, you'll
notice that it uses a 1600 by default for communications.
