Upgrade from 2007 to 8.8, upgrade wizard will not accept correct password

Hi, I'm trying to upgrade several databases from 2007 to 8.8 SP00 PL17
I have been successful in several. But I have one database where, in the upgrade Wizard, despite the fact that I am putting in the correct username and password, the status will not change from "Not Ready" to "Ready"
I have tried two different super-users, including manager.
I know the passwords are correct, because when i try to log onto that database in SAP, if I deliberately put in a wrong username/password, it tells me the username/password is incorrect. If i put in the correct username/password, it tells me I need to upgrade.
But if i use that same username/password combo in the Upgrade Wizard, the status stays at "Not Ready" and as I have said, I've already upgraded several databases successfully, so i don't think its an environment issue.
Suggestions?

I figured it out. I tried to detach the database in SQL and saw there was an active connection to the database from WITHIN SQL. I killed the connection and the upgrade wizard took the password no problem.

Apple ID has my old email address. It will not allow me to change the address and will not accept my password or ID questions.   I recently upgraded to OSX Yosemite 10.10.1.  I also have an Apple ID that works with iTunes and would like to keep it as my primary.

To change the iCloud ID on your devices you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted (if using iOS 7), then sign back in with your current ID.
If you don't know the password for your old ID, or if it isn't accepted, you will have to temporarily recreate it in order to delete the existing account.  To do this, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll.  When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.  Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

  • The upgrade version will not accept my 'old' serial number

The upgrade version will not accept my 'old' serial number?

    I have a CS3 DesignPremium.
I have asked Adope if it was possible to update from this to CS5.5 Design Premium. The answer was, that it was ok for a price round 100 €.
I bought it and under installation it wanted first the new serial number and next the 'old number' (because the old CS was not installed).
The new one is not installed any where els.
Im am working on a MacBook Pro.
The number not accepted is the old CS3 number.

  • InstallShield wizard will not accept non C:\ for j2SDK download

The InstallShield wizard will not accept redirected install location for downloading Java2SDKSE1.4.2_05.
Install wizard seems hard coded to C:\ even after I'm able to browse to an alternative install location in the wizard screen and set the install location field to that location. When I press the "next" button I get a out of space error screen, for C:\, and am not allowed to select the new destination from that error screen and the redirected install location is still in the install location field on the screen where I determine what I want to install. Is there any resolution? I'm running Windows98SE and IE v.6. Thanks for any assistance.

i don't know if this is helpful for you...
but you may want to take a look at it...

My IPad has disconnected from my home WiFi and will not accept my password.  Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

    I would
    1. turn off the router for 30sec and connect it to see if it fix it
    2. restart the ipad by holding down the on and home button and use the slider
    3. update the firmware of the router

  • 4GLTE Saying Upgrade Available - Will Not Accept Password on Back of The Device as Password?

Does anyone know why it will not accept the MIFI password clearly on the back of the device to do the upgrade?

In this world of passwords I know how irritating it is to have these error message issues. I would be glad to help so you can use your device to the fullest!
The password on the back of the box is normally for initial setup only. Try the generic password of  "admin" If that doesn't work we will gladly further troubleshoot with you. What type of MiFi do you have? Here's a link to another forum post that has some great suggestions.
    Thank you

  • TS3988 iCloud will not accept any passwords after upgrading OS. 2 days of trying every password I have ever used, AND changing Apple ID and iTunes ID, still nothing. Can't backup on iCloud anymore.

How can I use iCloud again after upgrading OS to Mountain Lion?  2 days of trying every password I have ever used, AND changing Apple ID and iTunes ID, still nothing. Can't backup on iCloud anymore.

Apple ID's can be used for anything, a single ID can be used for all your accounts (ie iCloud, iTunes, MAS, Apple community etc), ideally this would be the way forward. So far as iTunes goes you need to continue to use the same ID as you have always used or you will lose access to your previous purchases and your iTunes match subscription.
If you are using a second ID for iCloud, you can continue to do so or use the ID you use for iTunes, but if you choose the later you will need to move all your calendar, contact etc data to the account using the ID you use for iTunes.
When (if) you change which account you use you would delete the account on an iOS device and log back in with the correct details, on a mac you would sign out in the iCloud system preference pane.

  • Mountain Lion upgrade. Mail not accepting my password

Just upgraded and can't send email. Have re-input my username and password into the accounts pane but it is still saying that the outgoing mailserver is offline (but is not as everyone else in the building is fine - but I'm the ony one who has upgraded to 10.8). Any ideas?

I've found a solution to my problem. This worked for me.

This solved my questionRe: Problem with unchecking secure sockets layer checkbox in outgoing SMTP server Apple Mail / Mountain Lion

I was able to uncheck "Use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL)". I clicked on "use custom port", entered 587 there and could uncheck "Use SSL"

  • HT4007 Migrated Aperture 3 from old Mac to new Mac - it will not Register correctly, and asks for product codes when started

I've migrated software from my old Macbook Pro to my New Macbook Pro Retina and the process went ok, except for Aperture 3, It asks for the product codes when started, after 5 starts it asks for Registration details, which I've completed, but on the next start it asks for the product codes again - it is still working correctly on the orginal machine, and shows it is Licensed to me etc - but on the new Mac there is no License information - I should be able to run the software on both machines - anyone any ideas - I've got the original Aperture 2/3 discs so I can install from scratch, but that seems to defeat the whole process of Migration Assitant -

Hi Guys - looking through other threads I've used the method suggested by Frank Caggiano on Dec16 2011 - it worked a treat - thanks Frank

The 10.6 Snow Leopard DVD is in the Apple online store. You can get it for $19.99. You will need to be running 10.6.8 to access the App Store to order Lion or Mountain Lion. http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC573/mac-os-x-106-snow-leopard
    System Requirements for 10.6:
Mac computer with an Intel processor
    1GB of memory
    5GB of available disk space
    DVD drive for installation
Some features require a compatible internet service provider: fees may apply.
You can upgrade direct from 10.6.8 to 10.8 Mountain Lion without going through 10.7 Lion with the Late 2008 model 5,1 Aluminum Unibody. The Model 5,1 will probably run 10.9 Mavricks when it comes out.
10.8 Mountain Lion is a download from the App Store, the price is $19.99.
Mountain Lion will require at least 2gb of RAM but really needs 4gb to run smoothly.
As for third party programs see this list for compatibility with 10.8 http://roaringapps.com/apps:table
Also Mountain Lion doesn't run any Power PC programs. To see if you have any Power PC programs go to the Apple in the upper left corner and select About This Mac, then click on More Info. When System Profiler comes up select Applications under Software. Then look under Kind to see if any of your applications are listed as Power PC. Universal and Intel will run under Mountain Lion.
Before Mac switched to Intel processors in 2006 they used Power PC processors from 1994 to 2005. Power PC 601 through 604, G3, G4 and G5. Applications written for the Power PC processors need the application called Rosetta to run on Intel processors. This was part of the Operating System in 10.4 and 10.5 but was an optional install in 10.6. With 10.7 Lion Apple dropped all support for Power PC applications.

MacBook upgrade possibilities - https://discussions.apple.com/message/19577869 - "The Early 2006 model 1,1 Core Duo can only run a maximum of 10.6 Snow Leopard. The models Late 2006 Core 2 Duos 2,1 through Early 2008 4,1 can only run a maximum of 10.7 Lion. You have entirely too little free space on the boot drive, for best performance it's best to have hard drives only 50% filled max and never more than 80% filled.
See Storage Drive here and reduce some space also make a seperate bootable clone backup of all your data BEFORE upgrading
    Most commonly used backup methods
see here for how to find your disk space
    Why is my computer slow?
If you upgrade and it doesn't go right or slows the machine down you might need to erase and install, which all your programs will have to be reinstalled from original sources and files from backup.
How to erase and install Snow Leopard 10.6
If you can't do this, then hire a local PC/Mac specialist.
Do not upgrade to 10.7 or 10.8 on that older machine, it will slow down and you will lose all your PPC based programs.
Leave the Lions for a brand new machine with a SSD drive.
