Upgrade from Macromedia Dreamweaver MX to Adobe CS5.5

I purchased Adobe Dreamweaver CS5.5 some time ago as an upgrade to Dreamweaver MX by Macromedia, I was not able to install until my recent computer upgrade from an overburdened XP. Adobe assured me over the phone it was a compatible upgrade, but the only products I can select to put in my prior version is Adobe Go Live. How do I facilitate the full version without a Go Live serial number?

You should probably get in touch with Adobe directly: Contact Customer Care
My guess would be you need to have the old version installed on your machine first, before you can install the upgrade product.

Can I upgrade from Creative Suite 3 to Photoshop CS5?

I have purchased Photoshop CS5 upgrade expecting to be able to upgrade from Creatvie Suite 3 Web Premium, but it doesn't accept the serial number. I don't need or use the other products in Web Premium anymore, but do use photoshop. Is this not possible??

Upgrade from creative suite 4 Production to CS5 extended

I've just ordered the upgrade cs5 extended upgrade. I've bought in april
(via my vendor) the creative suite 4 production premium. The support tells me now via chat that is unpossible to upgrade from the suite to cs5 photoshop ? So i have to buy the full photoshop version or the full suite version ? Is that true ? How ridiculous is that ?

Yes, what Support told you was right -- per Adobe's Creative Suite FAQ, you can only upgrade from suite to suite, not from suite to individual product...
This is likely because of the discounted pricing of Adobe's suite offerings - for example, the price of the Production Premium bundle is about 65%-off the cost of its component products if purchased separately.
They probably also want to encourage the use of the same or more of their products going forward, rather than fewer.

Contact Adobe Support. The Software disk may not need to be returned. You might be able to simply purchase the proper license and perhaps pay the difference in cost -- they can tell you the options. I believe that there is an upgrade path from academic software to a regular license.

Upgrade from LR2 to LR4 - Have Photoshop CS5 Extended - LR adjustments now lost with RAW files

I have:
Windows 7 64bit
Lots of ram
Lots of disk space
Lots of everything
I have CS5 Photoshop and LR2 - and all works perfectly. I import my RAW files from my Canon 5d2 - and I can edit and adjust - then if I need to export to PS to make further adjustments before saving back to LR. Nice and easy like it should be.
I've installed LR4 as an upgrade to LR2.
Now when I edit my files in LR - and then want to tweak a bit more in PS - when I 'edit in> photoshop' I get my original file - not my edited file, which is very frustrating.
I want to be able to operate like LR2 - make some edits - then off to PS - then back before any final edits,
Why has it changed? And when will we get it back to editing the file with the adjustments built in?

I've already installed ACR 6.7 - and that's helped a little - and I now get the edited file - but not the whole edited file..
So if I crop - that edit carries over..
If I adjust exposutre - that edit carries over...
If I change one of the 'new' settings like 'blacks' - that doesn't carry over...

My trial of Premier Pro ran out this week. I have updated to the Adobe CC licence. I have uninstalled the trial version and gone to reinstall and have come up with the error:

/Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE
~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE
Please reinstall the latest version of CCD from : https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud
If On Windows then rename the below mentioned folders
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE (on 64 bit OS)
or
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE (on 32 bit OS)
C:\Users\(User_name)\AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE
Please reinstall the latest version of CCD from : https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud

2nd, even if CS5 was still being sold, Adobe only offers upgrade pricing for one or two versions, so 1.5 would be FAR too old to qualify

Is Adobe CS5 compatible with CS3 and Dreamweaver 8 files

We have eight users that are using CS3 (Photoshop, InDesign and Acrobat 8) plus Dreamweaver Studio 8 on Windows XP Pro 32-bit. Two of these users are moving to Windows 7 64-bit. We don't have it in the budget to upgrade all 8 users. Will Adobe CS5 Premium files (particularly InDesign and Dreamweaver) work with CS3 and Dreamweaver 8 files?

InDesign absolutely NOT! InDesign can only save back one version.
But...CS3 runs just fine on Win7 64 bit.
I'm not sure about what issues you'll have with Dreamweaver.
Please post followups in the InDesign and Dreamweaver forums.

I`m user of Macromedia web tools MX and Macromedia fireworx mx 2004 upgrade ( serial FWD700-XXXX).
Now i have good offerr to buy bran new ( nor opend box) of CS3 upgrade, however I`m not sure if I can upgrade to it from my products.
I have tried to contact Adobe, but support told me that there are not able to help me with information about that old products and adviced to buy CS6
So my question is - could someone help me with checked information from wchich products can I upgrade to Adobe CS3 ?

There have been a slew of upgrades in the past and different skus depending upon what you were upgrading from. IIRC there was a CS3 upgrade from Macromedia suite but whether the one you have there is the right one is anyone’s guess.
Finally, the chance of this being legit is very small. I would, instead, advise you to look into Creative Cloud as a way to get to CS6.

Click on the Buy link where you can change from Full Version to Upgrade. You can upgrade from Photoshop CS5 or Extended and it is only available as a download. I wouldn't buy from a reseller because most of them are taking full advantage of ripping people off by jacking the prices up. Also, you might not get a working serial number.

Yes, but it's not officially offered all the time. You don't qualify for the PS version to version upgrade price of $199, but you can frequently upgrade from PSE to PS for $299. If you call adobe sales and ask nicely, sometimes they'll give you that price when it's technically not available.
