Upgrade from SCM 5.0 to SCM 7.0 without Java Stack

Hello,
My query is we have a SCM 5.0 system which has a java stack in it. But now we are going to upgrade it to SCM 7.0. - Is SCM 7.0 has a java stack ?
If it doesn't have , can we upgrade SCM 5.0 to SCM 7.0 without Java Stack ? Is it posssible to upgrade without Java Stack or not ?
Is it possible that we can convert Java Stuff into ABAP web dyn pro ? If yes , how shall we can achieve it ? If not, how shall we proceed in an alternate way ?
Thanks for your help in advance.
Madhu

Hi Manoj,
Yes the system is running okay and I can login without problem. The question I have is that the upgrade program started with default system number 00 loaded, where I don't know how to change it to match our system setting. Our system is currently having system number 01.
Thanks,
Eric

How can I upgrade from Photoshop CS4 to Cs 5 or 6 without buying the creative cloud?

    Well CS5's ship has sailed.
CS6 can still be purchased on Perpetual License but it's not going to have all the bells & whistles that the current versions have.  Just as long as you understand what you're getting.

  • After upgrading from 4.01 to 5.0 the Flashplayer and Java environment don't work.

Made an update yesterday morning 21/6 from 4.01 to 5.0. It worked except that LastPass gives an error message at login, but it still works. Later 21/6 I downloaded an update from Mozilla. After that no Flashplayer plugins like in YouTube work. Neither does Java like in http://hem.ektv.nu/~ekt000851/mane.html, that I use as a test site.
However my most precious plug in Nexus Personal works in both versions. I cant figure out what is the difference.
I run Firefox on Linux Mint LMDE 64 bit in the /home/directory/

  • Upgrade from CRM 6.0 to CRM 7.0 without upgrading MSA

    Hi all,
we are currently running CRM 6.0 with the Mobile Client for a field sales group of 2000 users and we have some plans to move to the latest release being CRM 7.0. As upgrading MSA for 2000 users is extensive task we would like to know if it is possible to upgrade the backend to 7.0, but without upgrading the MSA to 7.0. Is there a way with some cheats and tricks to manipulate some tables in order to make it work with a CRM 7.0 backend system ?
    Thanks,
    Christophe

    Hi Christophe,
We do not support the landscape which you are planning to move into. This sceanrio is not validated either.

  • Upgrading from R12.1.1 to R12.1.2

    Hi,
    I have the following configuration:
    Oracle Enterprise Linux:5.3
    EBS Version:R12.1.1
    Database version:11.1.0.7
    OracleAS 10g Forms and Reports:10.1.2.3.0
    OracleAS 10g: 10.1.3.4.0
Please explain is it recommended to upgrade all Tech stack Components before upgrading from R12.1.1 to R12.1.2
I am upgrading from R12.1.1 to R12.1.2 without upgrading any tech stack components, as it requires minimum versions and R12.1.1 tech stack components are supporting those versions
Can i go ahead on production after applying it on test
will it create any problem, if i could upgrade tech stack components later, will it be a problem for me
    Please explain...

Continue as if it were successful [No] : Yes
but i entered Yes to continue as my OS is OEL 5.3 binutil version is binutils-2.17.50.0.6-9.el5
as my system binutil is updated one but in the note at MOS 758831.1, binutils-2.17.50.0.6-6.0.1.el5.x86_64.rpm, this doesnt apply to my system as my binutil is updated one.
    2. The following Oracle Forms objects did not generate successfully:
    au resource OKLCSASD.pll
An error occurred while generating Oracle Forms library files.
Continue as if it were successful [No] : Yes
as i entered yes to continue with the patch and tried to compile OKLCSASD.pll thru adadmin and manully aslo but didnt succeed.
The patch is completed atlast, and a huge number of invalid objects where created ..
I tried to recompile thru admin, utlrp, adcompsc.sql & utl_recomp.recomp_parallel but unable to compile a single objects

  • HT1338 Can I upgrade from Tiger (10.4) to Lion (10.7)

Can I upgrade from Tiger (10.4) to Lion (10.7) without purchasing and installing Leopard (10.5) and Snow Leopard (10.6)?
The spects on this MacBook5,1 is MacBook (13-inch, Aluminum, Late 2008)

    You can't.
In order to get Lion you must be running Snow Leopard 10.6.8
To get there you must purchase the Snow Leopard install DVD from Apple
Then update to 10.6.8 which will give you the App Store to purchase Lion
Since Lion is no longer available on the App Store, you will have to call Apple and purchase a code to download it from the App Store

  • How to upgrade from 1.0.3 to 1.1.1? (can it be done w/o adding 1.1 first?)

Sorry for the seemingly silly question, but can you upgrade from 1.0.3 to 1.1.1 without first having to upgrade to 1.1?
I had downgraded from the 1.1 to the 1.0.3 because of that stupid hiss. Now, each time I connect my iPod, it asks if I want to upgrade to 1.1 (which, of course I DON'T).
Any ideas? Thanks for helping out a newbie.
    All the Best,

Sorry for the seemingly silly question, but can you upgrade from 1.0.3 to 1.1.1 without first having to upgrade to 1.1?
Whenever you update the iPod's software, it will always update to the latest version. There is no need (indeed no facility) to update via interim versions.

  • Upgrade from SCM 5.1 to SCM 7.0 SR1 (with NW 7.0 EHP1 SR1)

    Hi folks,
we are trying to upgrade our SCM5.1 to SCM 7.0 SR1. There seems to be a problem in the phase, where SAPup is trying to detect the needed CDs / DVDs. SAPup recognizes that "FRP" is used within the system. There appears a dialog to enter the mount points for the DVDs required for the upgrade.
It says <<Enter at least the mount point for the DVD titled "FRP Software DVD">>. All other needed media is accepted, but not the DVD with the FRP-Software.
SAP Note "1300960"  explains, that as of SAP Business Suite 2008 onward, no media without a MID.XML file will be accepted for upgrades (e.g. media containing Add-Ons).
I have opended a message to SAP Support, but there is no solution / workaround until now. I cannot skip the phase and therefore it is not possible to launch / continue the entire upgrade.
SAPup Version is "7.10/7, build 31.010 for UNICODE"
Has anyone faced the same problem with no-MID.XML based media?
    Thank you for any advice!
    Kind regards,
    Marcel Jentsch

  • Upgrade from SCM 5.0 to 7.0

    Dear all,
I am in the situation to present the deltas between SCM 5.0 and 7.0. As we are running on 5.0 right now and would like to upgrade to 7.0 I need some input about the benefits for the upgrade. Clear is that 5.0 is running into extended support end of this month, but the question is which Deltas we have. May be someone could me help out here. We are currentls working with SAM-DP and SNP.
Thanks to help me a little bit out here.

  • Upgrading from SCM 4.1 to SCM 2007/5.1 (HP-UX/MaxDB)

Here's my  challenge - I need to upgrade an SCM 4.1 system (HP-UX IA64 11.23/MaxDB 7.5) to SCM2007/5.1.  From what I can see in the Product Availability Matrix, SCM2007/5.1 requires MaxDB 7.7.  What I need to know is how and when should the MaxDB database and liveCache be upgraded from 7.5 to 7.7 (or 7.5 > 7.6 > 7.7).  I've tried to run PREPARE on the first system we wanted to test the upgrade on, but it fails with the following hard error: "ERROR: MaxDB Version is not supported by this upgrade.  ERROR: Error in database software path determination (ERR -10)".  This leads me to believe I need to upgrade the database before upgrade upgrading the application, yet I can't seem to find this requirement documented in any of the SCM upgrade guides.
    Any assistance will be appreciated.

    Hi Kaushik
just a little input about funtional DP (not sure of system architectural improvements) :
I dont think performance would drastically improve per se
the areas that might be of some impact/ use in terms of performance are -
    - parallel processing profiles
    - macro improvements
    - changes in Admin Workbench (BW 7 functionality might make things easier)
    - changes in Planning area (no negatives for eg can help remove macros that used to do that function making it easier)
The important improvements are in more functionality
Its recommended to do some better process and layout deisgns to get performance improvements
pl note, there would be an initial long run time the first time you perform any transaction because of indexes being created

  • Moving Planning areas and Planning books from SCM 4.0 to SCM 5.1

    Hello Experts,
Can anyone have idea of how to transport planning areas and Planning book from SCM 4.0 to SCM 5.1.
Do we need any prerequisite to Transport Planning area and Planning book from Lower version (SCM 4.0) to higher version SCM 5.1.
Any suggestion could be very helpful for me.
    Thanks!
    Best Regards,

I have never done this, but I suspect it might be tad easier to just recreate them in 5.1 There are scores of tables that Planning Book configuration lies in. I would not rely on a transport mechanism working across versions to migrate every bit of the configuration accurately.

  • Failed to upgrade from ERP 6.0 EHP4 to EHP5

    Dear SAP Gurus,
we are running ERP 6.00 with EHP4 (HCM-component) based on Windows 2003
    SP2 X64 and SQL Server 2005 SP4 (64-bit).
We are using SAP Kernel Unicode 7.01 PL 133 (64-bit).
We intend to upgrade from EHP4 to EHP5.
Upon running SAPehpi, we encountered issue which stopped us from
    proceeding with the upgrade.
Case 1: Direct upgrade to 605
The upgrade failed on PREP_INPUT/VERSCHK_INI with error message: The
    following combination is not supported (SAP_APPL 600, SAP_BASIS 701,
    SAP_ABA 701).
Case 2: Upgrade SAP_APPL component from 600 to 604 (due to the above
    error message)
The upgrade failed on PREP_INPUT/VERSCHK_INI with error message:
Release '701' of component SAP_BASIS is too new.
Case 3: upgrade via SAINT is not supported by SAP. When uploading the
Stack XML file, we got error saying that the stack is not supported.
Attached is the complete list of the current SP Level of Installed
    components.
Please advise on how we can perform the upgrade to EHP5.
    Many thanks in advance.
    regards,

The thing is Solution Manager was able to produce the XML file during the previous upgrade to 604 (the one without SAP_APPL 604).
So how can it not be supported by SAP?

  • Upgrading from SQL Server 2005 Compact Edition [ENU] to SQL Server 2008 Express Edition OR HIGHER for Microsoft Security Compliance Manager

I have downloaded the MS Security Compliance Manager, which is in two parts:  MS SQL Server 2008 Express Edition & the SCM. The install instructions state the the server needs to be install before the SCM.  So as the install continues I get
an error message, which cancels the installation.  So, I am trying to install SQL 2008 EE separate from SCM.  My question is:
Can I upgrade from my current SQL Server 2005 Compact Edition [ENU]
directly to SQL Server 2008 Express Edition (or higher)?

So as the install continues I get an error message, which cancels the installation.
And which error message did you got?
SQL Server Compact Edition is something different then SQL Server Express (or Standard) Edition, you can't upgrade it as you asked for,.
