  • How can I install new windows on NB200-10z without a CD drive?

    Hi,
I have a mini laptop "Toshiba nb200-10z" and it doesnt startup anymore.
I would like to do a recovery, but it also doesnt work.
I know there is a shortcut like press the 0 button when the laptop is starting up.
With this shortcut you can start the recovery to reset the software.
But when I press the 0 button it gives me an error.
So I think the recovery drive/partition is lost.
How can I install new windows on this minilaptop without a CD drive?

I have found a much easier way to install Windows 7 from a USB Flash drive. Unlike other methods where you have to write complicated commands, this method can be completed even by those who have very little computer background.
The whole process takes only two steps, run UNetbootin, load the Windows 7 ISO file, and finally restart your computer.
Before you begin, you will require the following:
    USB Flash Drive (4GB minimum)
    Windows 7 ISO Image file
    UNetbootin
Note: If UNetbootin doesnt work, try out the Microsofts official tool called Windows 7 USB/DVD Tool.
Now insert the USB drive, run UNetbootin, and select Disk Image as ISO. Browse your local drive for Windows 7 ISO that you downloaded and click Open. Now Select Type as USB and choose the drive. Once done, it will look like a bit similar to the screenshot shown below.
Click OK and it will begin extracting all installation files to the USB drive. The whole process will take some time (10-15 minutes), so have patience.
Once the installation is complete, reboot your computer. Now while your system is starting up press the appropriate button (usually F1, F2, F12, ESC, Backspace, or Escape) to bring up Bios Boot Menu.
Change the startup order to boot USB by default, usually you will have to press F6 to move the selected USB device on top. Once done, save changes and restart the system.

ipad apps 1 I lost all after I installed new windows and I tried to connect it between your computer and iPad, what's the solution? (Please Inbox : [email protected]) Thanks

    Hi,
Sounds like it isn't to serious. the Bluetooth connection had an error and that is that generated
    the Problem report.
When the Blackberry started to use Bluetooth the "gold standard" was using Microsoft's
"native" windows drivers. Now, every major PC company has there own version
    Thus the problem report.
There is  rather involved and lengthy procedure to check and install the correct Bluetooth drivers
in the Dell, but I really don't think you want to take that on.( Nod you head and say H*LL YES)
    Here is what I propose;
The problem report needs to be resolved or it wont go away. Read the manual, call Dell,
try apologizing to it and that you'll never never do it again, what ever it takes!
Make the best investment you can make for your Blackberry, buy a media card.
All the memory in the BB is dynamic, this facilitates the functions of the phone.
By storing media in that memory, you effect are wasting X amount for file storage.
Store all media and files on the media card, and you will have a smooth running device.
They run about $25.00usd, they are easy to install, and they also make moving your
media a snap. You will need the USB adapter that came with it, but you can get that at
    your local carrier store.
So if you agree with this I need some info.
On the Blackberry go to the options icon, click then scroll up to ABOUT.
I need your software version number, it's listed in this format: 4.x.x.xxx.
Send it back to me and I can tell you what size card you can get.
    Let me know your thoughts!

  • SCCM2012R2-WSUS-"Install New Windows Update Software" message

I have set up WSUS. I have installed SUP on SCCM. I have created two collections; Available and Required, and split my computers between them
I have deployed various Software Update groups in batches of less-than-a-thousand to get me to the point where i can use ADRs from now on. I have created an ADR for October's updates to deploy to "Required". It downloads (though only directly from
MS - cant get it to just use the WSUS folder but thats another issue) and from what i can see it deploys fine
I run Windows Update on my Test PC and Server and it says it's up to date. Great. Just to test though, i click on "Check for updates from Windows Update" and they both come back with "Install new Windows UPdate Software - To check for updates,
you must first install an update for Windows Update. Your automatic settings will not change"
So i install that update (direct from Microsoft) and Windows update closes and re-opens as it says it will.
I run another check for updates and they both say "Up to date". So i check from Windows update again since i have now installed  this new update software that i would have thought my SUP WSUS would have installed)
Now from Microsoft's site they both have 45 important updates nad 35 optional updates available. What?? So i check these updates in the list and they are all in the October package. Why arent they available on my internal SUP/WSUS but they are available
    from MS Update?

    Hi,
That is the way it works, if you have selected to have the Software updates deployments visible they are visible in Software Center instead and there you can install the updates that is needed on a computer/server if you have deployed the updates to that
    server as available first.
Yes it is possible to do, deploy all updates to a collection, create a query for that collection so that all members in that OU is automatically made members in the Collection.
then when a client is added to that OU the collection will be updated with that client as a member and the client will scan for updates and install the updates deployed to that Collection. It doesn't really matter in that case that the SCCM client does the
installation of the updates and not the WindowsUpdateAgent.
I hope that answered your question.

  • How do I get my photos and books after installing new Windows?

I installed a new Windows 7 on an SSD to speed up the desktop computer. The new iTunes, of course, was empty. Now I want to sync my iPad with the new iTunes but I'm afraid that I will loose all my books (freely available ones that I downloaded and imported to the media library as well as work related PDFs).
All the data should be still on the old drive (that still is in the computer) somewhere (so I'm hoping that my problem can be resolved). I was able to find the music but where is all the other data? Can I use a backup made on the old iTunes? Where would I find that?
When connecting the iPad iTunes says that the iPad is tied to another iTunes database (well, yes, but not by my choosing, would have loved to continue using my old one, thank you) and I either can erase everything from my iPad and start with this one or never ever sync again. So, do I choose the rock or the hard place?
This restrictive syncing is a real pain in the neck. Have the same problem when I go out to sea (i.e. without internet connection) and my MacBook Pro. Everything from the iPad is erased and replaced by the MacBook Pro contents. If I forgot to add anything to the MacBook, tough luck.
Anyone who can tell me where to find the documents from iBooks on my old drive and how to get them included in the new system's iTunes?
Syncing across different devices? No such thing in reality. iCloud sounds great but seems useless...
    Prieni

You should be able to copy iTunes purchases (which should include PDFs in the iBooks app even though they aren't purchases) off the iPad to your computer's iTunes via File > Transfer Purchases.
On Windows 7 your backup should be stored under :
    \Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
But without restoring onto a device you probably won't be able to make much sense of the backup files.
If you want to copy off photos that were originally synced from a computer you will need a third-party app such as Simple Transfer which can copy them off via your wifi network. But as photos are 'optimised' when they are synced to the iPad, any that you then copy back to a computer may not be exactly the same as they originally were on your computer

  • Blue Screen with installing new Windows on already pre-installed one

Hello everyone, I am sorry if that topic has already been dealt with, and if I am asking about the same thing. I found a few posts relating to my problem, but it did not fully help, so...
I bought a M70 in Germany, it has Win XP HE already installed, but I wanted to install my Windows with a different language. When I boot the computer from the disk, there is first this blue screen saying that it is loading many drivers, etc. Then, it suddenly stops when it finishes loading all the stuff. There is only a cursor in the upper left corner (the one in DOS operating mode) and nothing happens. What could be a problem?
Is there some kind of blockade on the hard disk preventing me from formatting the partition and installing a different system? My own windows does not include SP2 on the cd, usually I install it later on.
I saw at least one similar post, someone suggested browsing the download section on the website to find some information, but I failed in doing that. Can someone help me? I would be extremely grateful for any information!
    mike

Hi guys, unfortunately, I am still in Germany, and I have limited access to any windows software. I can use a Win XP SP2 install cd only when I go home next month, so right now I am trying whatever else I can. I thought of installing the Windows from the recovery cd on another partition, but it stubbornly wants to do it on the main one, wanting to completely remove everything from the main partition. At least, then I could format the C partition using Windows installed on another partition, but it does not work anyway. I guess I have no other choice but to wait until I have access to a cd with Win XP SP2 on it. I really hope that is the cause of the problem. I will try to get any other copy of Win just to try it out, and I will keep you guys informed. If you have any other ideas, share them with me, please.
    Regards, Mike.

  • Premiere Pro CS6 Upgrade on new Windows 7 (64 Bit) computer

Some years ago I bought Prem Pro CS3 then Upgrade CS4. Tomorrow i collect a new computer Windows 7 Prof (64 Bit) 16GB Ram. I have bought CS6 Upgrade disc. My question is : what is the sequence of loading this software. Do I load CS3 then CS4 upgrade in XP Pro mode (32 Bit) then load CS6 in native 64 Bit. Confused.

Don't install anything except CS6. It will prompt you for your serial number...just enter the one for CS4.
If you did have the previous version installed, you would not be prompted for the serial number, but trust me that you DO NOT want to install the older versions unless you need them on  your computer for some bizarre reason.
Also, if you ever did need the older versions, you wouldn't need to install them in XP Pro mode, it should install just fine as normal in Win7x64. It will of course run as a 32-bit app under CS3 or CS4, but the installer and Win7 are smart enough to figure it all out 99% of the time.

  • Have Windows OEM Product Key -but key is not accepted when Installing New Windows 8.1 Disk

I was able to secure the Product Key for what I thought was a Windows 8.1 OS on my Toshiba notebook.  I believe my notebook ORIGINALLY had an OEM version of 8.0 (was pre-loaded when I bought the notebook) but at some point I updated the OS to 8.1.  I
was able to verify that I was currently using 8.1 via the Bios set-up utility.  After securing the product key, I contacted Microsoft and they agreed to send me 32 and 64 bit versions of Window 8.1 free of charge (so as long as I covered the shipping.)
When I went to install the  8.1 disk, I received a message stating that the product key didn't work.  I can't help but wonder IF perhaps because my PC originally came with 8.0 that it's product key won't work with 8.1?  When Microsoft asked
WHICH version I had on my PC, I had advised that I was using 8.1. They never asked what was the ORIGINAL OS?
    Any ideas?

thanks for replies.  I suppose it would be helpful for me to explain why I needed the product key and the new Microsoft Windows 8.1 discs in the first place.  This was never a matter of merely trying to activate the OS.  Last week- my
notebook went in to standby mode- a very normal process when I would step away from the notebook for a decent amount of time.  When I tried touched the power button to release it from stand by, I received a message that the OS was not able to start up
due to TWO (very specific) files that were either missing or had been corrupted.  The message recommended re-installing the OS in order to re-insalll or otherwise correct the file errors.  I spent a good 3-4 hours researching this on a number of
Microsoft/ IT sites, and it appeared this was a very common error -stemming from "boot disk error" -or "errors with hard drive/ partitions".  I then began my trek to a) locate the product key (of which I was able to secure from the BIOS) and b) have Microsoft
send me the Windows 8.1 discs.  Hope this helps and thanks again.

  • Install new Windows XP partition

Hello, is it possible to install an additional Windows XP partition on my satellite laptop with the recovery dvd? I would like to have 2 win XP partitions and then choose the desired win XP. This will be used to have one stable win XP and one win XP that can be used for insalling and trying out new software.
    Thanks
    Pierre De Ceuster, Belgium

    Hello
You can use recovery CD to create two partitions but before you do these save all data because the whole HDD will be formatted before the installation begins. If you want to do this without persisting OS reinstallation, use Partition magic software. It is very powerful tool.
Dont forget to install Boot manager who allows you to choose which OS you want to use.
    Bye

  • Ideapad- netbook s110 - install new Windows?

Can I install another version of windows such windows 7 ultimate or windows 8 while keeping the factory default image file with it's attached drivers and software so I can setup the default copy in the future
    What's the function of drive D  ?
Is the windows image source & drivers stored in D drive only so I can format C drive without losing the original copy of windows and setup anew version of windows?
How can I do that? Please help me
Note: the stored windows  image is: win 7  starter
Moderator comment: Subject edited for clarity.

    hi ah7med_magdy,
    Regarding your questions:
    1. You can use Windows Anytime Upgrade to upgrade from Windows 7 Starter to Windows 7 Ultimate without touching the recovery partition. For Windows 8, you can use Windows 8 Upgrade Assistant but some features / preloaded softwares may not work including the One Key Recovery so it's best to create a recovery disc first - see lenovo's Windows 8 Upgrade Guide
    2. The D:\ drive usually contains the preloaded applications and drivers for the OS
    3. The Windows Image Source or the recovery partition is a hidden partition is usually stored on the last sectors of the drive which is separate from the drivers and apps that's stored on the Lenovo D:\ drive. If you'll be doing an OS clean install and not an upgrade, it's best if you create a recovery disc first (an external ODD is needed) to restore the preloaded OS and drivers just in case you need to go back to Windows 7.
